Overall a great experience with Collins. Steve provided a straight forward price that was thousands less than the competition and if you saw the finished product you would agree there is no sacrifice on service or quality. They arrived exactly on time (no window said they would be there at 10:30AM and were). We added air conditioning for the first time to the house and it was a large amount of labor. Couldn't be more satisfied with the new Rheem system, which by the way with the price difference we were able to get a 2 stage 96% efficiency system for 30% less than what others were quoting 80% single stage systems.
I was replacing 2 furnaces and Steve talked me into a solution that only needed one. Obviously he saved me money instead of replacing both to put more profit in his pocket. Steve's crew very knowledgeable and professional I would highly recommend Collins.

My furnace/HVAC system died during the final weeks of winter cold and, being a 20+ year old system, it was no longer economical to repair. I spoke with the business owner, Steve, who came out next day to inspect the duct system and make sure that there were no unexpected surprises for installation that would change the online quote I received. Steve offered upfront, flat rate pricing that was a significant cost savings over a previous quote I received and this quote also included a more reputable, brand named system. The very next morning, the team of installers (Nick, Louis and Julie) arrived at the scheduled time and got right to work, completing the swap out on budget and in less time that was quoted. I now have a warm home and am sure that the unit will be cranking cold, dry air in the near future when spring turns to summer. I've got 3 aging units in another home that will need replacement in the coming years and will definitely be reaching back out to Collins Cooling & Heating Co. when the time comes! I called about having repairs done to my furnace and the lady told me that they only do new furnaces and asked if I wanted them to install a new furnace. Now why would I want a new furnace when I just need a simple part but okay fine that’s what they do ... The upsetting part was how rude the women who answered the phone was and how she hung up when she was told I would not be wanting a replacement Furnace! Mean People Suck!
Great service and products
I am incredibly happy with the work performed by the team at Collins. Steve came over to give me an estimate. He was able to answer all of my questions I could see his pride in his company and their work. I got a furnace, AC, humidifier, and thermostat installed. This is a massive upgrade so I was extremely nervous about 1) being over charged and 2) being forced into something I don't actually need. Not only was his quote the best price wise but I also felt most comfortable with him and how he described the installation/service process to me. It felt like Collins Cooling and Heating really cared about me and my house as opposed to just wanting to make their money. The work was completed quickly and professionally. They also gave me all of the documentation for the products and told me how to register online to get a longer warranty for free. Everything that they installed works perfectly. I can't recommend this company enough! UPDATE: a few months after getting it installed, my furnace stopped working. An animal had gotten inside - so it wasn't anything wrong with the furnace or the installation. I called and talked to a real person who had Steve call me back within an hour. He then came over early the next morning and fixed it for me super quickly no charge and told me how to prevent it in the future. 10/10 would recommend
After having several estimates and being treated pretty poorly by other companies. We are glad we went with Collins Heating and Cooling. Our AC broke during the heat spell we had. They were responsive, and professional. They did everything they promised and more. We had an entire system upgrade with air and heating. The team arrived on time. They were courteous and respectful of our home and space. We highly recommend this company.
I called them on a Sunday and they addressed and fixed the problem by Tuesday.
I called Mark about my AC unit smelling like it was burning. He came out the next day at the time he gave me and was very professional. He covered his feet before coming into my house and wore a mask. He was very knowledgeable about my situation and thoroughly looked for a solution. He made sure before he gave a diagnoses that he crossed all his T’s and dotted all his I’s. He didn’t try to replace something or charge me for something that wasn’t needed. I will definitely keep his company in mind and call again if ever I have an issue with my heating or cooling. Thank you so much for such great service and professionalism!
Unfortunately covid has put a damper on this family run business, hopefully with the virus now having a vax for it. This business will be up and running again soon.
Steve Collins was the ultimate professional and straight forward. Steve and his crew install a new furnace and first time central air. My wife in the past week used both the AC and furnace. ( Ohio weather). Couldn’t be happier. EXCELLENT PRICE!!! His crew(sorry bad with names ) was professional and cleaned up everything. Would and will recommend Collins heating and cooling to anyone who asks.
Steve, the owner, is very knowledgeable and fair with his pricing. Very responsive too. They installed a system in one of my rentals and there was some icing in the plenum. Steve was able to stop right out and found the old reusable air filter was the issue. Most companies would’ve charged me since it was a month since there install without an issue.
Mr. Collins is very professional and knowledgeable. He’s very efficient and turnaround times are quick with information. Pricing was great, and the installers were professional, went over how to use the new system and answered all of our questions. Work space was left clean. It’s refreshing to get great service. We are happy with our experience.
Steve put AC in our first Lakewood home with no ducting/radiators and the price was phenomenal for him to run ducts to the first and 2nd floors, air handler and condenser. House is so cool, you'd never know it was a retrofit! When we moved to a larger home down the street, we hired him again and he was available, punctual and again, the price was way below everyone else. I challenged him a bit with not wanting to rip up any flooring on the 3rd floor and he found ways around it and listened to everything I asked. Can't recommend enough.
Prices are not bad
Friendly, thorough, good regular family people. Cleaned up after themselves and they didn't try to up-sell us on anything, which was nice. They were very informative in answering all of our questions and made what could be a difficult time, a pleasant experience. Steve (the owner) Julia, Nick and the whole crew who came out made the process quick, easy and painless! Would recommend them to anybody!
Excellent. I appreciate the honesty, speed, and cleanliness of the crew. I was looking to replace an ~40 year old system after a tune up technician warned me of a flame roll out on startup of my old unit. The initial company wouldn't quote me for a new unit as they weren't permitted in my area. I had another company come out and quote me about 50% higher than Collins Cooling & Heating for a furnace replacement and install with their lowest end 80% system. Steve was able to set me up with a furnace, chimney liner, and new air conditioner for not much more than the first company was charging for a furnace alone. His whole crew was knowledgeable, and courteous. Lewis was helpful in explaining everything I needed to know about the new system. I would highly recommend Collin Cooling & Heating to anyone looking for a new system, especially with their upfront fair pricing.
Highly recommend this company. Great service, great employees, great pricing. Beyond just a company, this is outstanding customer service. Truely makes you feel like family. Thank you Steve, John and Lou. Steve came out today to replace my inducer motor after hours and didn't leave until I had heat!! This company is the only way to go weither you need a A\C unit or Furnance. I also had them install a A/C unit 2019, working great! Thank you all for your great service.
