My HVAC unit was doing fine, but my crawl space duct work was a disaster. As part of a multi-year house updating plan, I decided it was time to consider replacing the duct/venting work and possibly replace my 12 year old dual electric/gas HVAC system. I interviewed 3 companies and obtained two separate quotes from each company. 1st quote was for removal of old duct work and install of new duct work. 2nd quote was for a complete new system implementation, removal of old duct work, and installation of new duct work. Huneycutt HVAC sent Josh over to complete an assessment and provide me with a quote. Huneycutt was the only company that recommended changes to how the duct work was laid out to prevent similar issues that I was having with the original setup. Josh was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Once I accepted the quote, I was immediately provided installation date options. Prior to the scheduled install day, I received a reminder. On the day of installation, we reviewed again the implementation plan that was planned out for 2 days. The duct work removal and replacement on day 1 and the new system installation & new thermostat installed on day 2. Josh kept me updated on progress, and every team member I interacted with was kind and helpful. When the crew was done on the last day, there was zero debris or trash left in my yard. I am so glad I selected Huneycutt HVAC to complete this work. I highly recommend! Update: Be sure to stay up to date with the Duke Energy Rebate requirements, they changed from 15 SEER to 16 SEER on 01/01/2023. Knowing this information will avoid your rebate being kicked back for being invalid.

Always offer you honest advice on services needed, services recommended, and services that you do not need at that time. Labor, materials and service fees are very reasonable. Andy came out to scope and design my project a number of times and we walked through a number of options and iterations. His designs were well reasoned and he reached out to the equipment vendor when he didn't have an answer to my admittedly very detailed questions. The day for the mini split ductless install came and completed. The work was performed perfectly and the subsequent inspection went smoothly and easily. The minisplit HVAC is working beautifully and I am wondering why I waited for this quality solution. Andy and his team did a terrific job. The only problems were in getting a quote that reflected the correct equipment, a receipt for the full payment at the end, and a copy of the warranty. He jokingly called me OCD yet detail matters to many of us and he came through. I attribute the few problems perhaps front office inexperience but we got through all that with a bit of effort. In all I *highly recommend* Huneycutt Mechanical!! High quality job at a fair price.
Very happy with the service. I work 8:00 - 5:00 and they were able to work around my schedule. Shane came out at 6:00 PM to assess what I had to quote me a new system and Byron came out with him to get my 20 year old system working until I could get a new system installed. Byron stayed well past 8:00 PM getting it back up and working better than has worked in years! Looking forward to working with them very soon to install a brand new HVAC system.
After spending a considerable amount on trying to repair my unit, when I finally called for a quote on a new install, since they knew my unit pretty well, I got no call backs. I always paid what was asked and never tried to negotiate, so this was very strange. It forced me to call another company, who I think are the best in Union County... Thank God I never got that call back!
Garrett was amazing! He explained everything to me in easy terms and was very knowledgeable! I will definitely use them again.
This company ROCKS. I called in late in the evening because my air nor my heat were working. Garrett came within an hour, accessed it, told me everything he was doing and why, then came to me with an evaluation and the options. It's been a week and everything is still working well. Thanks Garrett!! Very genuine, honest, and professional. I definitely recommend this company.
We have done business with Huneycutt for years. Wonderful company, responsible and considerate with other peoples time.
Mr Huneycutt was very knowledgeable in identifying the problem as to why my house was so cold but feeling damp. He found a remedy which made it much more comfortable to live in my house; a dehumidifier was needed and his people installed it for us. The temp and humidity in the house is not restored to livable conditions
The servie team at Huneycutt were prompt and professional. Definitely, a staple service team for Union county and the surrounding area.
Always great, competent service from these guys; FAR better than other local outfits (went through 3 other vendors to get to Huneycutt; certainly wouldn't go back.)

Kudos to ANDY and his team Matt & Garrett! They did an exceptional job in getting us up and running during the COVID-19 pandemic! First it was the A/C coil then a month later it was the compressor! Excellent communication between the guys. Thanks again to Huneycutt Mechanical Team 😀😀!!
Called them out to check my A/C unit before summer. The tech told me my unit was 10 yrs old and there was a leak in coil. Wanted to sell a New unit, or New A coil. My unit was 10 yrs old. but had been installed for 5 yrs. Had another tech out from a different company, charged the unit 160.00 dollars. Did not detect a leak. My first experience was great. 2nd not that impressive.
