My home builder works with Romanoff for HVAC needs. Today a diligent HVAC repairman by the name of Robert came to address an issue I had with the AC. Robert was quick to troubleshoot the problem and went even further as to suggest how to solve the root issue (the breakers and labels were switched for the heavy appliances — range and AC unit) even though it wasn't the AC unit itself. It took him all of about 15 minutes. It was incredible to watch him work. Thank you Robert and Romanoff!
This morning on 77 north near exit 5, the driver of truck 683 aggressively sped past me then abruptly changed lanes without signaling cutting in front of me with only a few feet between us then braked hard in order to avoid crashing into the vehicle in front of it causing myself and the vehicles behind me to have to react defensively. This driver was not courteous or professional by any means.
Romanoff is a fantastic company. Michelle (Service Coordinator) is amazing! They are quick, professional, and courteous. I'd highly recommend Romanoff for any HVAC needs.
Mr. Gene (didn't get a last name) responded to my Lennar emergency service call Friday morning, 12-23-2022. I would like to nominate him as Service Technician of the Year. Gene called me ahead of time, asked some great questions to ensure he had what he needed on his truck, he arrived at the time he said he would, he was extremely professional, kind and neat. Gene explained what happened to my furnace, why, and encouraged me to watch him make the needed part replacement. In the process he explained details of the Lennox furnace and the safety features I should be aware of. He was neat, well organized, and the problem was solved in a very timely manner. I completely appreciated the entire service experience. When I called the Lennar Warranty Emergency number for an HVAC issue Thursday night, I had doubts I would ever hear back from anyone (I told them the issue was not urgent enough for a night service call, but I needed help Friday; condensation leaking into the furnace drip pan). The Romanoff Group returned my call early Friday, and delivered Gene to my home within hours. Wow, in this day and age that's amazing!
Wayne was a huge help over the busy holiday weekend by taking our call at midnight on a Saturday when our AC was not working. Out the next day, he figured out the issue and was able to have the hard to find motor installed and running by midday Tuesday. Thank you for the quick and professional help to get us out of the heat of summer!
A great service provided by Wayne L. I called early afternoon about my thermostat reading “error”, and a pan full of water. Wayne arrived soon after and worked diligently to fix the problem. He was kind and respectful as he entered my home and asked me about my situation. He was efficient while also, explained what happened to my unit. My house was cooling off in no time. Thank you for sending him out!
Of course our A/C started to have problems on holiday weekend- 90 degrees on July 4. We submitted a request in the morning (unit was less than 2yrs old) and got a call they had a few ppl in front of us but would be out by 1pm. They called before they came, Wayne showed up and was professional and pleasant. Quickly figured out the issue and replaced our capacitor and had us up and running in 20 min. Great service!
What an awesome and educational experience with this company. John Gentle was the tech that came out and balanced our system. Awesome service and fixed our issues immediately.Im a homeowner in Charlotte and would definitely recommend this company. Professional and reliable!
I used this company a couple years ago for heating system install. I'm writing this review now because they treat their employees like trash. The fact that they make their employees forfeit their EARNED vacation time is absolutely shameful. I plan on using one of their competitors to have my ducts cleaned.
Just terrible. I think I saw one of them smoking crack in the van.
John came out to address issues our inspector found with our new HVAC unit. He was a great listener and addressed all my issues as well as showed me some maintenance tips to help our HVAC work at it's best. I appreciate the GREAT customer service from John and wish we had more contractors like him. Thanks again, John, for help keeping me cool!
Whoever drives truck #490 almost caused two separate accidents due to road rage
John was professional, knowledgeable, and punctual with service. Gave great recommendations and respected our home space. Would easily recommend.
I was impressed of the service John Gentle provided, he showed up the same day I called, on time, and went above and beyond answering every question and even helping explaining and setting up the new thermostats (which is something usually done by the Smarthome people and not them). Best customer service experience I have ever had in my home.
Called for service and was scheduled promptly. Technician John Gentle was a great resource helping me understand how to use and balance my thermostats for optimum airflow between upstairs and downstairs. Excellent customer service.
John Gentle ,our tech, is very knowledgeable and thorough. He definitely listens to our concerns and questions. He takes time to do the job right. We will always request John.
Still waiting for them to call me back. Really need to fix their phone mailbox service and just pay for the assistance to make sure human to human contact happens. Simple things.
Gene Cook is the friendliest, most professional and just all around nice guy. It seems that my HVAC issue has been resolved. If it's not, he assured me that they will come back until it is. Can't ask for anything more than that.
A shout out to Gene who helped me this wknd. He helped me over the phone to very quickly troubleshoot and confirm that we were not having an HVAC problem but had partial power coming into the house, and he directed me to call our power company immediately. I would've called the electric company on my list of vendors from our home builders. I was home alone at night trying to comfort a cranky toddler, and Gene got me on track to make the right phone call. He even called me back a few hours later to to double check that we were taken care of.
I am in a new construction home, built in 2016 with Romanoff being the hvac company used. I have a dual thermostat system and they should have installed a transformer, but they just used a jumper cable, essentially cutting corners. Even the manual for the system says a transformer is required, and they refuse to fix. They also installed our flue pipe with no cover, letting the elements and bird droppings constantly clog our unit, and also wont fix this. If youre the trusted company to be installing hvacs in a ton of new homes, you should do the work properly and by the book! Now, Im out of warranty (not that they would fix it when I was in warranty) and paying hundreds to have this work done by a different company.
