I have never used this company but this is my horrible interaction with them. We have Old Republic home warranty so we called them to get our leaky shower valve repaired. Accent comfort was assigned and they called to set an appt for 1 1/2 weeks later. Last week we get a call from then saying that we need to set up our HVAC appt. We called back and told them it’s plumbing not HVAC and the lady said for me to call old republic to get the work order switched over. So I did just that and Old Republic said it is in correct for plumbing, so the Old republic representative was kind enough to put me on hold and call them. She got an answering service so she left an extensive message. This morning we get another call about setting up our HVAC. I explained it again and the lady told me my appt with them was cancelled!!!! Are you kidding me!!! Get it together Accent Comfort. I have now called Old Republic to request another provider as it seems your office has no clue what you are doing!!!!
Do not use this company- they charges us $500 to blow out the HVAC pipe that was clogged- air worked for about two months, came out again and did the same thing no charge, was fixed for about a month. Now today they can’t find someone too. One out here last minute, telling us we have to wait two days for the first available appointment. If it was done correctly this first time when we were charged an arm and a leg, it would’ve been fine.
I paid accent amost 10,000 $ to replace my upstairs heat pump 6 months ago. Since then they have been out 4 times to service the system and there are still issues. The latest call I had said they would not come for another week to come and fix their install issues that I am continually finding. Issues include: - not installing duct on the supply side properly (the tech's just duct taped it on instead of properly mounting manifold box that the flexible duct attaches to). So it's falling off. -simple things like forgetting to turn the gas on so the heater works in the winter. -control board seems to have issues and keeps tripping. For such a highly reviewed company I'm very disappointed in the workmanship and the repeated failure to fully finish their install.
We’ve now had Accent Comfort Services out to our house 3 times over the past 3 years for HVAC needs, and every time they exceeded my expectations in terms of timeliness and affordability. From the moment I reached out to them, they responded promptly and scheduled a visit at my convenience. While the company is based in North Carolina, they do HVAC service in SC, including Greenville where I live. The team at Accent Comfort Services arrived on time and wasted no time in diagnosing and resolving the issue with my HVAC system. With an older AC unit, I expect regular servicing to keep it running and plan on calling Accent Comfort Services every time. Hired Accent many times over the years, and they've always done a good job. This time, I had a water leak that pretty much destroyed two rooms in my house. They came in and, not only fixed the leak, but helped redo the plumbing in the room (bathroom) when I had to remodel the entire room. Always came within the two hour time window, always upfront about costs, always came through. Always my first choice for plumbing.
Kirk came out to our home. Gave a quote. Technicians came out. Men made comments of how much was being done for the quote given. Did some of the job and left the job undone. Replaced ac/propane heating for whole electrical system. Also vent system in the bathroom. They did alright. They left equipment at our house with holes in our bathroom ceilings. Called and no answer to repair damages. Left equipment. Lack communication. Techs that come out either don't care or just careless about what they are doing. Payback comes in all sorts of ways. We had to get another contractor to come in and fix what they didn't complete. Yes, we had to pay them as well. Now, Kirk, answer this question..you wouldn't do this to your loved ones would you?
We had Accent out to install a whole home water filtration system and POU reverse osmosis in the kitchen. The cost of doing this work was very fair and both the owner (Dan) and the team plumber tech (Donte) we’re extremely knowledgeable about the product they were installing. Appointments were prompt and the system works as advertised.

I had a great experience with Accent Comfort Services. Trey came out for a quote and gave me the best service among the 4 quotes I took the time to get. Their quote was competitive so I chose them to install a new water heater for me. Dante and Trey did an excellent job and again made sure I had all of my questions answered. They were great and I would definitely recommend them to others.
My mother used them for years and they always took great care of her. Today they once again came to her rescue! After she was under contract with a new home warranty, she thought she would not need Accent because she was paying for a home warranty. Well, what we discovered was that she in fact does need them and is very thankful they came to her rescue! Many thanks to Accent and specifically Jim Phillips, for taking great care of my momma!
I called yesterday about a leaking garbage disposal. Was able to schedule a service call for this morning. Trey arrived on time, was very professional and friendly. Took the time to walk me through the issue, gave me options for a replacement device and finished the work in a reasonable timeframe. Very pleased with the customer service and service expertise. Will recommend Accent (and Trey) to others.
Accent provided an inspection during my due diligence. Kirk took the time to explain the components of the system, how thing works, and what to watch out for. There was an issue outside of his control that required follow-up, and he completed it promptly. Much appreciated.
Mark with Accent Comfort Services is awesome! He came to our house to fix an HVAC problem we submitted to our home warranty company, and he diagnosed the problem in minutes. Not only that, he was able to replace our blower motor in only a couple of hours. Our heat and AC are working perfectly now. He was so polite and friendly, too!
Gunai is the worst customer rep I have ever encountered. Got the appointment via the warranty company. Absolutely worst customer service possible. My appointment was for a water heater made two days in advance and in the middle of an extremely cold week. Right in the middle of my appointment slot, I get a call from the company that I have an appointment for the following Monday, with no reference to the fact that I was supposed to have a technician at my place at that particular moment. When questioned regarding the existing appointment, the customer service representative Gunai said " Well things happen". No apology whatsoever. And when I insisted that I need her name and my new appointment slot for the following Monday she BANGED THE PHONE ON ME and said: " you can call the warranty company". After multiple calls back to the office based on the call-in number I was able to get her name, the owner's contact, and my appointment confirmation for Monday. I am yet to contact the owners as they are out!! I will update accordingly.
We have a leaking toilet, had appointment on a Wednesday, Technician Travis came out was hear no more than 10 to 20 minutes. Said all was fixed, collected $100 service fee. 3 to 4 hour's later floor completely flooded. Toilet is now leaking weather water value is on or off. Called Accent Comfort to have a revisit, Technician can't come back until following Monday because Thursday is booked and Friday is New Years Eve.Sorry to say bit my Monday appointment was cancelled due to weather (it was just only rain). Rescheduled for upcoming. Thursday, appointment canceled due to shortage of technicians. Now rescheduled for Friday. This has been the absolute worst experience we have ever had with any service provider. One cancelation is acceptable but several with different reasons is not. Let's hope this is a isolated case with bad timing.
