Needed a quick response for an A/C concern in a rental unit. Other companies were quoting me multiple days out for an onsite visit. Zay got there and resolved the problem within hours. Thank you Zay, you are now on my "first to call" list :-)
Zay is a very responsive on time professional, who provides good value and quality work. He does circles around all the ‘big guys’ in the capital district. He responded to my needed AC repair by arriving on the same day I called him, ordered the part the same day, and returned two days later fixing my system with a new evap coil. A local larger AC repair specialist (RJD) could not fit me in for weeks and could not even confirm when the issue (evap coil) would be resolved. The ‘big guy’ did however offer me a quote on a $11k replacement unit instead. Bottom line, Bigger is not always Better when it comes to selecting a reputable HVAC company. I totally recommend Zay for all your HVAC needs.
I would highly recommend using Dupree Heating and Cooling. They were very responsive and knowledgeable. They came and fixed our broken AC unit the same day I called!
Excellent experience all around. The technician was very professional and was obvious to see how much he knew. I called them at 8 and they were here by 11. Most definitely would recommend to anyone. Fair price for the needed repairs.

We had a complex issue with our heater, and he fixed it in real time. Give him a call and he will handle it from there. Unlike the larger HVAC companies nearby, he was willing to help me asap that same day within two hours because he genuinely wants to help. My partner and I were very happy that we called him.

Came and conducted a service call to inspect and maintain water heaters and furnaces. A week after coming the tenant was complaining about not having heat. Zay would not pick up the phone or call me back so I had to pay extra to have someone else come and fix the issue. Don’t know why I spent money here … very disappointed.
Called Zay about a month ago when my unit stopped working. He came and diagnosed it quickly, explained to me that the capacitor needed to be replaced. I expected this was the issue but needed confirmation. He was able to get a capacitor and replace it that day, within the hour. I was very satisfied with this service to start. I communicated to Zay I was not knowledgeable about the system I had so I really wanted him to walk me through what he was noticing and what I was experiencing. I think he made some attempts in doing so but maybe my expectations were not clear because fast forward about a month later, the unit goes out again. I send him a video and from the video he can determine what seems to be happening but he comes over and gives it a check anyway, which I appreciated. However, I was not happy that he needed to return. I wish he had taken a closer look the first time he serviced the unit to catch any potential issues that might arise and really pickup that I was un-informed about owning and operating a unit as recommended and safely. I wanted a thorough check of the system. For example, when he was here the first time, he didn’t really do a thorough check of the thermostat, inside system, and outside system, so he wasn’t aware that the unit had been running without a filter. I had learned this myself before calling him back for the second time after watching YouTube videos and noticing the filter slot was empty where normally there would be one. When he was back for the second time, I communicated to him my worries about running the system with no filter and that I really wanted him to take a closer look inside to see if there is anything else he could catch. He communicated to me what he saw the issue was and a new part that needed to be replaced on outside condenser unit. He immediately called a supplier and found an in stock replacement he could pick up the same day. I believe he was knowledgeable and experienced, however I wasn’t satisfied with him
Very thankful for this company. Saved the day for me and my wife that is 3 days past her due date with our child. Our central air stopped blowing cold air on a 96 degree day. Scrambled to see who can help NOW. Zay showed up literally within a hour and got to work. You can tell by his attention to detail and passion towards being a solution for people in need, that I was in good hands. Within the next hour he had it up and running and my house was back to cooling down. Would recommend this company to my own grandmother! Thanks again Zay!

The owner and operator visited our business today for the first time after a convenient scheduling process. Zay was very thorough in his walk through of our somewhat complex HVAC system and noted several key details. After assessing our maintenance needs he quickly got to work servicing our multiple systems. In less than an hour he efficiently had our systems up and running as good as new. I did notice Zay was very well organized and detail oriented in his approach which likely explains his unusual efficiency. The price was an excellent value and it was a pleasure meeting a fellow Troy small business owner with a passion for their craft.

Zay was very prompt, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff. We have 4 different types of heating units, and he was able to service and update failing parts and get them all in great working order. I would recommend Dupree Heating and Cooling without reservation, great local business!
Absolutely amazing service! Knowledgable, professional, kind, and affordable. As a female, it is a rare experience to hire someone to do maintenance in your home and to find yourself completely comfortable asking questions and being treated like a respected adult. He showed up on time, every time, and worked on our unit until it was done, despite it taking longer than he anticipated- no astronomical up charge. I will be calling him for all future heating service needs.
We woke up to water on the basement floor coming from the pressure relief valve - cue panic! Thankfully, I was able to quickly connect with Zay at DuPree Heating & Cooling who was at our house within half an hour. He quickly diagnosed the issue, sourced a replacement part and completed the repair. The service was cheerful and professional, and the cost was reasonable - he provided me with a detailed invoice so I knew exactly what the charges were for and why. I will definitely call him again for any heating issue, and you should too!
