I installed a booster pump for the holding tank to the house. I called for an emergency plumber because even though I installed it the way I was instructed it wasn’t working properly. When he finally got here he went down in the crawl space to check out my issue. He pulled the pressure release valve several times and told me I needed a new well pump. I accepted his referral and found out it would cost nearly $3000. This is without excavations and/or extra parts. He never opened the lid to my holding tank to see that it was full. Seeing that it was full, I realized there was no need for a well pump. Upon discovering this, I felt the man had taken advantage of me because I am a woman. I did some further investigation on my own to discover the parts I had installed were just not tight enough and I was taking in too much air. I will never recommend this company, ever.
Bryan Blodgett from Roland J. Down Service Experts did an AC yearly maintenance at my property. He was very great in explaining the condition of the AC. We are very happy with his service.

Our A/C went down in the middle of a heat wave. Myles Townsend was sent out to service the unit. He found immediately that a family of mice had taken up housing in the unit. As a result, they chewed through wires. The needed part was not to be found for a quick fix. He was able to cut & splice all the wiring to get us up and running. Myles was so considerate and explained every step of the way what was going on. He also set us up with a low cost maintenance plan so that the systems can be routinely checked. Thank you, Myles! We appreciate your attention to detail.
I have been a customer of Roland J Down for a year and every time I give them a call or even schedule an appointment online, they are always on time and super responsive. I recently had them come over and take a look at why few rooms were not cooling enough and Bryan Blodgett was here to diagnose and look at any issues. He is very knowledgeable and knew what to look for. I thought that it was a refrigerant leak, however his diagnosis and expertise proved that I was wrong. Brain provided some valuable suggestion and recommendations to make the house feel cooler during the warm summer. Thanks Brain and Roland J down team.
Brandon S. was phenomenal - the service from Roland J Down is unsurpassed - take it from someone who has had service from all the companies in this area. When you need HVAC service done - you want Roland J Down and you want Brandon S to do your service. What a friendly, professional, knowledgeable service tech that really went the extra mile. He also did a great job explaining the value in signing up for the service plan, so we did! Asked for a half hour notice to meet at the property, Brandon called an hour in advance, just to make sure I had enough notice! Needed AC service as well - Brandon made time to complete the call. He took the time to educate me about my system so I can take the best care of it going forward and ensure it will last me as long as it should. Really can’t say enough about how excellent of an experience it was - it made something that can be a bit of a headache a really positive experience.

Our technician Zachary Savage was on time, efficient, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about our AC repair. He was able to spot the issue right away and fix it on the spot. We would recommend Roland J. Down to everyone, they were able to get us an appointment on short notice and charged a reasonable price! We will be using them for future services for sure!

Zach was on time and professional. Very respectful of our home. Took no shortcuts to ensure proper diagnosis of our problem on a very hot day. Thoroughly explained everything and made sure we were comfortable prior to leaving.
Sean Murphy and his assistant, Myles, we’re very informative and professional. They patiently answered all the questions I peppered them with. They provided a very realistic assessment of my A/C system which will be considered in making a decision as to whether or not to replace it.
At Roland J. Down in Glenville everyone is friendly. They always make a difference in my home’s HVAC care. They show hospitality and greet me with a smile every single time they walk up to my front door. They acknowledge me upon entering and create a warm welcoming atmosphere. They have a positive attitude at all times. They show empathy and are willing to assist me/my house in any capacity that they can. Two workers in particular were Andrew (seller) and Christopher (technician). They were and still are at the forefront of this company and make this contractor the one and only place to call in the area for your HVAC needs!

Adam & David were phenomenal. I have an 8 week old baby in the house and we lost the a/c on a Thursday night I believe? I called and they were here within hours. The house was 78 quickly going to 80. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem, provide expertise on a solution and help our family be safe again. I highly recommend them. They were extremely professional, didn’t push on anything to make any huge purchases. They really felt they were there simply to help. It cost a little for the repair but it was obviously much needed. I can’t thank them enough for helping us get the air working again quickly and then getting the the AC to work fully after the quick fix solution with a new part.
Please be careful of Roland J Downs. They charged us $300 for a $10 dollar part that took 10 min to install. Then also sent a sales representative to run interference on me asking questions to the tech. Next there were fittings that were still lose once they left causing leakage. Finally they said they cleaned the drainage line and lubricated parts and they didn't. All for $1k. Be careful.
Just had our Air Conditioner service and our technician Joshua Kelleher was amazing! He was polite and knowledgeable. Great company!
Zachery Savage was here this afternoon to check the coils on our heating & AC unit. I followed him as he checked the heating system and AC unit. Steve was very professional, explained everything as well as asked if I had any further questions during & after all was inspected. I Highly recommend Steve when having anything done!!!
We had an issue with our air conditioning and Zachary Savage, the servicer, came out and fixed it for us. He was communicative, on time, and very knowledgeable. Got our problem fixed in no time. Would strongly recommend.
