That Ryan Becker review is garbage. The reason you shouldn't replace your own limit switch is because you may be just replacing a part that is the symptom, not the cause. I've seen seasoned technicians replace the same part over and over before they realize they were not looking at the whole system operation. In the case of a limit switch issue, I would be curious to know if he checked the static pressure or the gas valve input to verify proper flow of both air throughout the system, and combustible gas. Furthermore, I would check for obstructions with my camera as well as identify if the heat exchanger is damaged which could be allowing excess heat through the airway. But yeah, it's Johnstone's fault. New York is full of do it yourself handymen. No wonder the housing market here is terrible. Ryan, if you can't afford a professional, just say so next time.

I needed a simple button style high limit switch, I called and the boy who answered says they have it yet he won't sell it to me and i need to call a professional when it is literally one of the most simple parts to swap on the consumer side of furnace repair. Last time I checked I didn't need a license to buy a thermo switch. Wouldn't it be more unsafe to keep trying to use a furnace that has a know bad part (tested with multimeter). I am extremely dissatisfied, it would be like if i called advance auto and requested a fuel filter and they told me working on my own car was too dangerous and they cant sell me the part, what a joke.
Had specific tools I needed that I would have had to otherwise order and wait for... excellent customer service and knowledgeable, friendly staff.

I must be honest , I read a few bad reviews and was Hesitant about going to this . I alway look for bad reviews lol. Im currently enrolled in trade school at MCC & I needed a manifold & hoses I thank god I didn’t listen to the bad reviews . This store was fantastic, the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I wanna give a special thank to one of the staff members his name is Mark . This guy was a blessing I couldn’t thank him enough he did everything in him power to make sure I got what I needed even tho I had a low budget he made it work so thanks again mark if you see this
