we highly recommend carroll heating and cooling! our furnace was 47 yrs. old. we had 3 estimates, he was lowest price but that's not why we chose him. john(the owner ) came over for the estimate and he seemed the most knowledgeable and we liked the fact that he actually does the installation himself. he did a great job and we are very pleased. we will recomenend him. his assistant cody was exceptional.

I found John's name and contact information on the Irondequoit group on Facebook after several people had recommended him for HVAC services. After my furnace ignitor began to malfunction, I called him up and he was able to come over to look at the problem on the same day, and summarized my options to remedy the problem including parts, materials, labor costs, etc. As my boiler system is over 30 years old at this point, I opted to go with a brand new one. Knowing that my boiler may be nearing the end of its lifespan (and in the middle of winter) John scheduled himself for the work within a week's time. He was in my home all day and installed my new boiler along with the accompanying new piping, parts and fittings, including expansion tank, shut off valves, flu vents, etc. He was very professional, thorough, courteous, and cleaned up my basement and left it the way I found it. I would highly, highly recommend him to others. I would like to add something to this post since I last wrote it. A week ago Sunday, 2/5/23, one of my pipes burst in my porch/Florida room, spewing water all over the floor. I called John, who came over to my house on a Sunday (and within 15 minutes of my call) , spent an hour or a little more at my home and fixed the problem. We are so lucky to have someone like this who lives in our community in Irondequoit!
John was the only who agreed to install an Ecobee digital thermostat to integrate the HVAC and humidity controls in our house. We had separate 30 year old thermostat and humidity controllers and only Ecobee had the capability to integrate both. It was not an easy DIY project since our old thermostat was lacking wires of a particular color needed for the install. John showed up on a Saturday in the middle of the covid pandemic and did a perfect install. It did take him longer than anticipated due to some poorly run HVAC wires in our house but he did not charge us extra. He was very reasonably priced and professional. Thermostat has been working flawless for about 3 years now. The ability to monitor and regulate home temperatures through my phone across continents is fascinating. Thanks John! We will reach out to you to replace our aging furnace.
I have called them twice. Both times they have responded immediately. Very thorough, great quality, shows you how to maintain and what steps to take both calling for service (to save you money 🥰). They have a forever client with me! Recommend for everyone especially for all the women who live alone and scared they would get over quoted and told about repairs they don’t need. John was excellent from beginning to end. John was quick to stop by and offer an estimate and was able to fit our project in (complete installation of furnace and AC) in less than 2 weeks. The project was done in less than 2 days, and the workspace was left cleaner than he found it. I cannot recommend John enough for any residential HVAC project you might have.

We reached out to John on Friday when we realized our AC was no longer working. He said the earliest he could get there was Monday. Of course, this was going to be one of the hottest weekends too. Sunday morning, he shows up to our house, unannounced, and assesses our AC issue. An hour or so later, our AC is repaired and back up running. This is customer service unlike any other. We HIGHLY recommend John to anyone who requires HVAC service. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and provides high quality work. Thank you, again, John!!
