Came early morning and on time. Roy and his partner were kind and professional and fixed an issue that I wasn’t able to get help with. Really excellent experience. And I’m not easy to please😉 And I am adding to my review: I’m not sure what happened with all the 1 star reviews but I really did have a 5 star experience. And you can tell from the business replies that they are on the ball. Highly recommend.
Service/repairs wasn’t helpful and quite expensive. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
160 dollars plus taxes just to told you what the problem with a window ac is come on that you be part of the repair cost unless the person don't do the job went to another place bigger and 35 that get credited to the repair cost
Exceptional service.....we used Shivani for warranty service purchased through PC Richards in connection to our purchase and eventual warranty repair of a Freidrich in wall unit. From the exceptional service provided by Elvina when calling the office to the courteous and most cooperative nature of their technicians, this is an exceptional service company that is most highly recommended.
We would like to thank Shivani Refrigeration, in particular the technician Ryan for such a good service. We had tried other companies, but nobody could fix our system, after Ryan visited he left with all 4 units working incredibly well! Thank you for the great service and compromise in doing a good attendance. Highly recommended!

After some bad experiences with other A/C repair companies, I was delighted with my experience with Shivani. They were professional from the first phone call and throughout my experience with them,, and the technician who came to my home was very nice. He understood the problem quickly and fixed it. I will use them for any future A/C repair needs.
Technician came to take my AC in repairs. Upon inspecting the unit, he informed me that it would need a lot more than a cleaning as the fan was broken. He was honest and efficient and didn’t twist my arm into any new purchases.

I live in Manhattan. I have had Friedrich AC'S for many years. Over those years I have had various Friedrich authorized maintenance/repair companies come and service/repair my units - varying from okay>adequate. Of the several I called for my most recent AC issue, Shivani had the best POC (point of contact - i.e. the phone) manner and professionalism. Always helpful, polite and understandable. Due to the particular issue with my present AC, (which was nothing to do with Shivani) I had to call Shivani to come to my apt. 3 times and every person who came was on time, helpful, polite/nice/fun and did their job quickly and efficiently. While I didn't have to pay for their services, due to the unit still being under warranty, I believe their prices are in the range of what is considered to be "the going rate". Due to one particular issue a part was ordered that was not needed as Friedrich👎😩, eventually replaced my unit. Shivani was going to return and take my unit to replace the part and then return the unit to me at no cost - but that never came to pass. Shivani didn't make an issue out of that albeit they went out of their way to order it and it took a long time to arrive due to Covid-19. So thank you Elvina and her team - in this day and age good service is hard to find. From my experience Shivani deserves a 5 * review.
Purchased 3 air conditioners totaling over $3000 in July 2020 and less than three weeks later one air conditioner did not work. We called them and they replaced the motor. Fast forward to June 2021 and a different air conditioner stopped working. We called and a technician named Charlie came and took our motor. He bought back the motor about three days later and it still did not work. Have been trying to get it repaired for weeks and finally get an appointment and they bring a new air conditioner and he said the order is wrong and we have to wait for a different appointment. The customer service rep over the phone is rude and unprofessional. We are frustrated because the air conditioner that needs repairing is for our children and it is extremely hot. Also when the motor is not in the air conditioner there is a giant hole that my children can fall into. If you can please avoid this place, they will sell you refurbished air conditioners without telling you and scam you!
My LG Portable AC is out of warranty. So LG gave me the name of three certified contractors. This one had the highest rating of the three. I called Monday to have someone come. They told me they didn't have an appointment until Thursday and would call on Wednesday to give me a service window. Keep in mind we are in the middle of a heatwave. I waited all day Wednesday for the call. I was really trying to spend a small amount especially since I think the issue is the compressor but since there aren't any reputable repair options I just went ahead an bought a new unit from PC Richardson. I don't know why LG uses companies unreliable.
We used this company to install two window air conditioning units. They were informed that one of the ACs was to be installed in our toddlers room and they brought a blanket for the floor that when open sprinklered hundreds of tiny metal shards all over the ground and on the rug. Further, they caulking and install was very messy. They did file a claim for us to get a cleaner to come in but we still have to pay the entire install bill despite the hours we spent sourcing a cleaner that was ok for babies and then we offered them more business they declined. Do not go with this company, they do a poor job and waste your time.
I’m very much impressed with the services performed by Shivani Air Conditioning. They were professional and on time. They did spring cleaning on my air conditioners and also sold and installed two new air conditioners. I definitely recommend SHIVANI and would use them again.
They are a Friedrich air/heating contractor. I took the day off and waited for them they came at the range time however they could not fix my unit because they did not bring a ladder to access the unit. They told me they would be back and then the next day they called to tell me they could not service. I wasted a day because they did not have a ladder. REALLY...
I am a long time customer and had given Shivani an excellent review but I am changing it because they really let me down this time. I was out of town and my son came to my apt in NYC to escape the fires of CA, with his fiancé and dog. He called on a Monday morning to schedule an appointment for installation of my AC, which Shivani had in storage, and told them the elevator wasn’t working but he would pay extra to have someone deliver it (in addition to the $300 bill). The appointment was scheduled for Wednesday but they canceled that afternoon because their guy didn’t want to go up the stairs. I called from overseas to tell them to please bring it Thursday and that what they did wasn’t right. But in the end they won’t bring it until Friday. It’s been hot in the city all week and none of them have been able to sleep. They both do serious remote work and my son is doing job interviews as well. After all these years they made no extra effort for a very good customer who has also brought them a lot of new clients. I’m beyond disappointed.
Inept service, wrong diagnostic of air conditioner repair. Repair of AC not completed. Wrong AC plug cord length installed. Not a professional service organization.
I noticed a rattling noise in the new frigidaire ac . Working with Electrolux/Frigidaire, I was able to get a technician from Shivani to access the problem. He knew exactly what the problem was and it was resolved. No more rattling. An insulation strip which was added to the bottom of the ac when my coop installed the ac, was misaligning the ac and therefore metal was hitting metal. The strip was removed and no more noise. Thank goodness because I thought it would be a mechanical problem and the ac would have to go to the shop. Very good technician. Thank you Shivani.
I called this company to get a diagnostic report done for a portable AC which the compressor has started making a loud motorized sound. The compressor is still in warranty and this was requested by the manufacturer of the unit to honor the warranty. When the technician arrived and performed the diagnosis he stated the unit needed a cleaning. He further stated as a result of the unit being so dirty it forced the compressor and burnt out the control board. I knew this was not the case because I knew the control board was still working. I was still able to control all functions of the control board. When I stated this to him he switched up and stated it was the thermostat which is attached to the control board. I knew this was not the case either because the unit still gives me the temperature in the room. I was not agreeing with the diagnosis he was telling me because everything he was saying was still working even the compressor was still cooling with the exception of the loud noise it has started to make. Will you believe because I was asking him questions about the diagnosis he came up with. He flew into a tantrum stomping his feet and waving his arms in the air with papers in hand pacing side to side and said to me "I don't know how many F---ing times I have to tell you". That's right!, Went out of character on me in my very own home. Finally he stated to me it would be more feasible to replace rather than repair. Keep in mind this is not what I called them for it was only for a diagnostic report to furnish the manufacturer with. He gave me the report and left. I am a legally blind individual so I was unable to read the report without my visual aid. Big mistake on my part after he left I read what he put on the report which was needs cleaning and control board. He put nothing in about the compressor. I paid $108 when most other companies charge $50 for a misdiagnosis. I believe I was taken advantage of my visual impairment. I will definitely be filing complaints o
