Dennis came to do maintenance on our central AC. The total time he spent was one hour. As far as we know he did a good job. The disappointing issue was that we were charged $20.00 for the truck charge and $60.00 for travel charge. We live in the same zip code, very local. That travel charge was outrageous! We would have been okay with the $20.00 truck charge, but the travel charge since we are local was a rip off. I have called 4 other local companies and they do not charge a travel charge and were very reasonable with their rates. I called Dennis on the travel charge and he just said that that is the charge. To keep us as a good customer perhaps he should have taken that travel charge, living so very close to his business. I called him prior to the app for an estimate and he did not even mention the truck charge and travel charge. He was hiding these charges conveyed to me. Not happy with what was charged and will definitely go with another company that is upfront with their fees. Dennis was dishonest with his estimate and other costs and took us for a ride with that travel cost. Bottom line...rip off!
Called for an estimate on an entire HVAc replacement. Didn't return my call for a week and when they did they asked for $100 fee just for me to have the privilege of getting them to come give me an estimate.
Beware. I have a Laars Endurance radiant heating system that was "kettling," i.e. knocking. I called Salazar because a friend knew him for many years. We have hard water so the system needed descaling. They spent a day, did the job, but also without asking replaced two parts irrelevant to the problem. I found out later. One replacement part was already used. So I ended up paying $1600 for an $800 job because that's what they do - replace irrelevant parts and at the end of the day present you with a fait accompli. They didn't solve the problem. When I called later, they blew me off. BTW, I am a retired engineer and later solved it myself. Control system problem.
Replaced natural gas valves, ran pressure test on gas lines, filed for city inspection and helped get gas company to reinstall gas meter. Excellent work.

I called Salazar right at 8am when they opened and was on the phone and scheduled with someone the very same day in the mid-afternoon. Anthony was very warm and professional and got to the drains immediately and efficiently. He kept me up-to-date as to how the work was coming along. Anthony was polite, clear and fixed our drains! Plus! My baby was napping throughout his visit and he took note of this and worked quietly so she could finish her nap! I am VERY pleased and will call Salazar again if need be, and highly recommend the company in general. Thank you, Anthony!
Our boiler for our radiant heat blew out the Friday before Christmas. Our neighbor referred us to Dennis Salazar . He responded immediately, came over within an hour and was able to get a new one that same day. They did a great job, and are very professional know their stuff. THANK YOU!!!!
Anthony Salazar from Salazar Heating & Cooling did a fantastic job replacing my entire plumbing system. Yes, I had to have my entire plumbing system replaced including the main feed line from the city water line. It was a nightmare! But the professionalism shown by Salazar was beyond reproach. If you have to go through a nightmare scenario like this, let the professionals at Salazar's Heating & Cooling get you through it! I can not sing their praises enough!
Dennis and Anthony are awesome, they are competent, prompt and professional! The only people I ever use in Santa Fe for all my commercial and residential needs.
I had Salazar (Dennis and son Anthony) install a min-split system in my stucco house in Eldorado just a few days ago. Very happy with everything involved with this work. I had too much sad experience with so many "plumbers" and "HVAC experts" since I closed on the house in late October of 2018. Very happy to have met Mr. Salazar and with the work he did. The price was very competitive, the equipment was superior, the work was done in 2 days with their coming at the time told me in advance, everything was cleaned up, both Salazars friendly and professional. Before I contracted with Mr. Salazar, I asked for some recommendations to call, preferably a couple of them that went back some years. He was forthcoming with them (have had great trouble with getting recommendations from other contractors). I even visited one who had a very large beautiful house in an upscale area north of town - the owner was extremely happy with Mr. Salazar's company. The 2 others I called were both contractors who have been using Salazar for many years in the construction of their upscale houses - even used them in their own homes. They were quite happy with his work. In sum, I strongly recommend the Salazar company and am confident that you will very happy with this choice.
When our water heater went down, Dennis and Anthony responded immediately and squeezed us into their schedule. It was a difficult job because of the age and size of the old heater. They did a great job figuring out an excellent solution and getting us back in service with an up to date system. They are great to work with. I recommend them highly. Paul
I find the entire Salazar team great to work with from sales to installation and service. They strive to do the job right the first time and do not hesitate to seek expert help if needed. I have installed Daikin units throughout my house and they work well year-round. Cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. Salazar maintains the units and they are always within specs. They are also great plumbers with many skills. I find them honest and reliable and I am glad to work with a local family. I highly recommend them for all heating and cooling needs.
Last week my refrigerator suddenly stopped keeping food cold or ice frozen! I called Bernie Sanders since he had been to the house once before.He came- took the back off..then put it on again..pushed fridge back telling me it was the compressor! No attempt to leave it open..get the part..install it! Just wanted a check for $86+ and left! He knew I lost ALL the food I had just bought..could've cared less! Leaving me without any resolution! I had called G.E.they have one!!Need someone to put it in? Guess he needed a fast $86?? I should've stopped payment on the check or refused to pay it! Last time was $40! That was fair for this trip! Will make sure I warn people how he just left!!
Always fast & exemplary service, never have the feeling I'm being sold something I don't need. Fair price every time I've used them for our commercial building. These guys are a credit to their trade. Thank you!
Had an appointment with them and they called me 30 min before the appointment.and said they couldn't make it that they would call me back later that day. I never got a call back from plumber. I called office and left a voicemail with complaint and I never heard back from anyone. Horrible service. Very unprofessional
We are renting and Salazar works wonderfully with the landlords, shows up on time and quickly solves the issue to get the job done. :-) thank you
I have used Salazar for several repairs including stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. He has been professional and honorable. On one occasion, the refrigerator needed a $300 part which he ordered. He used electric tape to temporarily fix the problem. When the part came, the refrigerator was still working. He said it would probably continue to work and returned the part without charging me an additional fee. It’s been over a year and it’s doing well. I appreciate his honesty and professional service.
