I had house guests and a plumbing disaster. I called five different plumbing services. James delivered. The first tech told me I needed additional work done. I called James again and they sent Isaac who did a full diagnosis and also restored the plumbing to operational functionality. Very courteous and professional, and explained his actions through as well as recommending a product to mitigate future emergencies. A +
I had them come over and setup the evaporative cooler for the summer. Carlos was on time and efficient. He also noticed my whirlybird cap had broken so that I could get it repaired.

Today Carlos (and his crew) replaced an evaporative cooler. He was on time, professional, very knowledgeable and personable. He was very attentive to the need to make corrections from the initial cooler installation that had been installed by another person years ago.These corrections were necessary to maintain proper performance of the newly installed cooler. I highly recommend Carlos.
Isaac is very clear and articulate with expectations of the job and quotes! His repair was an improvement to the function of my kitchen sink not just a patch job! They were here same day I called them! Highly recommend this company!

We've had to call James Plumbing and Heating twice in the past month to do work on a 1946 house (and bathroom) and they've been amazing. First, Dominic fixed a nearly impossible situation where the tub had been plumbed in very strangely, with the wrong grade, no P trap, and several pipes buried or half-buried in dirt. Another excellent contractor had looked at that with considerable dread and trepidation, but Dominic dug right in there and set things right, solving a bad smell situation and getting things flowing correctly. Then, when the antique fixture on the tub started leaking, Carlos came out and did an amazing job of fixing it. It's a cool old solid brass fixture that is pretty much irreplaceable now and I was worried we'd have to swap it out for something generic and new, but Carlos expertly dismantled it and restored it to full working order. Better than ever! Turns out his specialty is restoring vintage plumbing and fixtures, lucky us. Both of them were very polite, kind, and conscientious about tidiness and time. Great company and skilled people, will definitely call again for future needs.

Carlos was awesome this was the second time I have called James plumbing they serviced my hot water heater and installed my new kitchen sink everything came out great. Nice work! I saved my previous review from my last visit below. Our water heater started leaking a little bit. I called James plumbing and got an appointment for the following week. When the leak suddenly got worse James plumbing was able to adjust their schedule and get to me the next day. My new tankless system is awesome. thank you

Carlos was great. He was timely, professional and reasonably priced. He fixed our toilet - and was very clear about how to save money on it if we had trouble in the future. We would definitely recommend him!
Dominic was amazing in diagnosing the problem and was able to communicate the issue with the manufacturer and me. Thank you for being efficient in resolving the issues. James Plumbing and Heating was the company that did both the rough and finish plumbing on my home as a new build a bit more than two years ago. They did a superlative job, both in quality and professionalism. I recently had them return to address an issue with my radiant (in-floor) heating system. They were extremely responsive, timely, and, once again, very knowledgeable in addressing the issue. I recommend them without reservation and will continue to employ their services. May 3, 2023 - Just had an additional service performed by Isaac, of James Plumbing. Simply put they are consistently the best. Always on time, polite, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, they fix the problem.
Carlos did a great job of diagnosing a problem with a drain in a bathtub. Explained the problem and proposed a solution. We will use James' Plumbing to install a water conditioner as well as fixing the drain problem. Addendum: Carlos has been back numerous times to address warranty issues from the original construction of our home that was done poorly by another company. He has been exceptional! He has completely revised the radiant heat boiler plumbing that was installed incorrectly by the original installer. He revised the PVC pipe exhaust for the radiant heat boiler on the roof where the original plumber had failed to glue any of the PVC pipe joints causing leaking into the boiler unit inside the mechanical room. He revised a bathtub drain that was installed without a p trap and caused sewer gas fumes inside the bathroom. He diagnosed and repaired an on demand hot water heater that was continually shutting down and throwing errors via the unit's computer. My experience is that reliable service is hard to find in Santa Fe. Carlos and James Plumbing will be my go to plumbers in the future.
Carlos was amazing with communication and flexible with his schedule. I thoroughly enjoyed the quick and responsive service. He would tell us everything he was doing before he would do it, and always confirmed before hand of our appointments! Amazing service!
Carlos did an exceptional job getting my evaporative cooler ready for summer. He was professional and went above and beyond to straighten out the miswired controls for the system.
We needed two outdoor faucets repaired. Carlos did an excellent job on both and explained what was needed and why very well.
The company installed a cleanout and backflow preventer. They were helpful and responsive. Showed up on time, got the project done. Also, cleaned up site of installation when they finished.
Can’t say enough good things about James Plumbing & Heating. We have had an ongoing issue with getting hot water to various fixtures consistently and after several failed attempts by other plumbers, Dominic and Isaac were able to diagnose and repair the problem. Incredibly fast response time and very polite and professional service. Highly recommend!
