Little communication about scheduling. Calls were never returned, and project dragged on. John (owner) is very defensive and absolves himself of any responsibility, going so far as to blame you for his failures. Ended up having to call another company to finish the job. Reply to. John. It was under my wife's name. You called her a "pushy woman", and said you've delt with a bunch like her in Santa Fe.

I have received several fliers and seen ads from Hubble advertising Mitsubishi heat pumps. I want to change my home from propane radiant to electric heat pump, so I called on August 10. The woman who answered said she'd have a plumber call. I tried to explain that a heat pump is a whole house heating device, and I need quote, not a plumber. She said she understood. I'm not sure she did. Anyway, here we are at August 19 without a call back. Even if they do call now, I won't use them because they seem to be undependable. From other reviews, I expect the owner to reply to this by insulting me. That's okay. At least you know. Please note their reply - 6 months later. I guess it took that long to think up a rejoinder.

Worst contractor experience in my life. Paid $10,112 deposit for mini- split and installation. I soon decided that I consider them to be incompetent and canceled the order. They did nothing and delivered nothing but refuse to refund my deposit. They claim that they ordered some equipment for my job but won't tell me when they received it or exactly what I it is. Two months later and John Onstad refuses to communicate with me. In the meantime I have had to hire a different contractor, have gotten nothing from Hubbell/Onstad and he's keeping my $10,112. It's unbelievable!

Failed to show up for three scheduled appointments without any call as to why they were not showing up. When they did show up, they charged me for the training time for the technician to discover what was wrong with my unit. After I paid the bill, they failed to respond to a basic question about their warranty. You should use another company that knows something about customer service.

John, Zac, Loren, Esmelin, at Hubbell Electro-Mechanical did an outstanding job on determining our needs and acquiring and installing our 4 zone Mitsubishi Mini-Split system. Install team arrived right on time as scheduled and got right to work going over with us the locations of the system in each room and on roof along with covering furniture and areas where the units would be installed and where very meticulous in cleaning up after all work. Team was very professional and personable through entire process and we were impressed on how efficient team was during installation and answering any question my wife or I had as well as going over system and how to use. The location and orientation of all the units looks great and my wife and I are incredibly pleased with system as well as how whole process was accomplished.

We suffered through the last four summers without air conditioning here in Santa Fe, and finally decided we would invest in split systems to cool the house. Our neighbors, without exception, had all used Hubbell and could not praise them enough. John came to the house and gave us an estimate and within two weeks his guys were at our house installing our splits. It took three days and we had a lot of men coming and going, yet with all the activity we did not have one bad incident. The guys were on time every day, they were polite and professional, and at the end of the day they cleaned up their messes before going home. The end result is amazing. Last night I slept under the cool, whisper quiet air and I look forward to enjoying summer nights with a cool bedroom. You cannot go wrong choosing this company. From the top down, everyone cares and performs at a very high level.

We appreciate the time that John Onstad, the owner of Hubbell, spent with us. He was very patient in answering all our questions regarding the sizing and installation of new split A/C and heating units. He would typically follow up the same day when we requested additional information. We , which we really appreciated. Sometimes had to wait days or even a week for feedback from other suppliers. The installation required cutting a hole in the sheet rock which was then professionally repaired as part of the job. We are extremely happy with Hubbell's responsiveness, quality workmanship and the work crew;'s professionalism.

Hubbell installed Mitsubishi units in our home and was most accommodating to our schedule. Our HOA is very restrictive and Hubbell saved me a lot of headache by communicating well with HOA staff. In addition to their professionalism, I am pleased to extend that to their various subcontractors. Given COVID, Hubbell staff and subs all wore mask. Kudos.

DO NOT TRUST THIS SLEEZE!! John Onstad was welcomed into our home on 5/29/20 to give us an estimate of his overpriced units. We simply wanted a quote which was explained to him several times during the in-home consultation and during the initial phone call to him. He explained how Mitsubishi was offering 0% financing for 5yrs and that he needed to get a social security number to obtain a credit INQUIRY and to see if we qualified for the special financing. When he left, he told us to give him 24hrs for the ESTIMATE. On 5/30/20 he called to give us his estimate of over $19,000. I told him I needed to talk to my wife about it and that we would get back to him if we were interested; we never called him back as the estimate was too high. On 5/31, John fraudulently opened a credit card in my name with a credit line of $15,000. Under my name was his company name, Hubbell Electro-Mechanical and in the corner of the card appeared the Mitsubishi Heating and Cooling logo. When the Synchrony Financial credit card came in the mail several days later, the interest rate was over %25 on top of the annual membership fees associated with the card. I never approved of any such credit card/loan/financing nor did we commit to his proposal. John lied to us by saying he needed a social security number to "simply obtain a credit inquiry". Once we discovered the fraudulent account I had to go through the hassle of freezing my credit reports with all three credit bureaus, file an FTC report, formally complain to the BBB and coming soon file a police report. He hasn't returned our multiple phone calls. If I could give "Zero Stars" I would but the website required at least a one star rating.

After getting 4 other quotes from other outfits offering to install a mini split A/C system, I am so glad I chose Hubbell. John Onstad (owner) and his team are excellent. John gave me a very reasonable quote on a Mitsubishi minisplit. I had been told by 2 other outfits that I would need a complete electrical panel upgrade and their quotes were more than double!!! Turns out they were trying to gouge me (despite claiming decades of trustworthy service in Abq and Santa Fe). John said I did not need a panel upgrade but he said "whatever it takes", the price would be what he quoted and nothing more. John's guys; Loren, Cody, and TJ were prompt, respectful, worked quickly and efficiently, the installation was seamless and beautifully done. And the areas were completely cleaned afterward, and they did it all in half a day! I LOVE my new mini split, it is silent, it cleans the air and I have the fan running most of the time on low so that it filters out impurities. The a/c is amazing, so quiet and instant cooling. It's perfect and worth the investment. I am so glad truly trustworthy people like John and his crew are still around and believe in doing good, honest, professional business! THANK YOU JOHN & TEAM!!

I want to share my experience with Hubbell Electro-Mechanical and the amazing Mitsubishi Mr. Slim. We had our unit installed in 2011, right before the Las Conchas Fire in Los Alamos (One of the largest fires in New Mexico history). The smoke and embers drifted down the Pojoaque Valley and over our house in Jaconita. I was so grateful that we were able to close our windows and get our house cooled by the Mr. Slim Air Conditioning Unit (ours also has a heat pump). I highly recommend Hubbell Electro-Mechanical and this outstanding Mitsubishi product.
