I'd recommend potential customers to demand seeing a quote before letting the technician do the job. I tried to replace my furnace igniter on my own, but I purchased one that was too tall. Before I knew it, the technician swapped out the one I installed with a shorter one, and my furnace worked great. I was relieved it was only the igniter because I feared the burners needed cleaning or replacement, and who knows how much that would cost... So, I gave the technician the igniter I installed the day prior, thinking they could use it for someone who needed it, and the technician went back to the truck to draw up my bill. After less than 30 minutes of time, I was billed a total of $513.20. I was charged $165 for the person to come out, and then I was charged $348.20 for the new igniter, for it to be wired on, and for it to be tested to see if it worked. I wrote the check and changed my attention to a sofa delivery I was receiving at the same time, but later I decided I would call to speak with a manager to better understand what I was exactly charged for. I was worried I had been charged the wrong amount for the igniter, since, just the day before, I went shopping for exactly that part. It cost $50. I was very upset because if I knew that would be the price of the job, I would've asked the technician to please leave, I'll find the shorter igniter myself, here is $200 or whatever the amount would be for coming out. About a week later the manager called me back, and they explained that the $348.20 invoice item which reads, and I quote, "hot surface igniter. Installed and wired in/tested/workin As it should" - includes the cost of the part, labor, insurance, education for the employees, having $1 Million on hand at all times in case something happens, truck expenses, cable bills, phone bills, gas, paying the person who answers the phone, and other charges associated with running a business etc. etc. That explanation comforted me in knowing that there were other expenses
Purchased a complete system in 2015. New water heater. Heater. Ac. First use of humidifier basement flooded. Came out to fix. Next use. Basement flooded again. Then we go issue free for a few years. Paying the ridiculous monthly fee for 30 min of their time twice a year. If you can even get on the schedule. Water heater blower fan went bad just out of warranty wanted over $800 to fix (loyal customer price). Got fixed by another local chain for less than 1/3 of price. Next summer compressor failed on ac unit. 6 week wait to get installed. And $1500. Again got done by local chain for half the price the same day! BEWARE STAY AWAY. Very overpriced and overpromising sales pitch with no results delivered.
Connor came out and unclogged my garbage disposal. He was very professional and provided outstanding service...thank you!
I have been using this company for all my plumbing and electrical needs for 8 years! They did my oil to gas conversion. In a very timely and clean manner. Also helped me to get set up with financing and rebates. They are very professional and will always come no matter what time or day it is. My most recent service was a boiler flush. He was in and out in N hour and arrived on time! Very friendly staff that will answer any questions you may have. All in all a good local contractor!
Chris and staff are amazing. They did and oil to gas conversion on my heater and water heater. Chris and staff were quick, responsive, and very knowledgeable. High Recommended
Fast response. Excellent diagnosis, repair & service by Chris. I have very high standards. Chris could not have done better. I can repair & diagnose most things, but I won't hesitate to call them again, and I'll recommend them.
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
Great place!!!
We have been a customer for more than 10 years and in that time I've had no problems with any of the service technicians being unprofessional. RPHCE had installed a Heating and Air Conditioning system a few years ago to replace the original unit for the house that was at the point where it was no longer cost effective to fix the various problems. All the work was outlined in as much detail as I wanted, and the work was done to meet that expectation. They have come to our house within a few hours to fix the AC when its > 95 degrees outside, on a weekend when an asthmatic family member couldn't go somewhere cooler due to a recently broken leg. When I asked them to come to my house to consult/review/check my own plumbing work, the plumber was very knowledgeable and had a good attitude. If we ever move again, we are taking them with us.
Had a bad experience. To be fair they tried to make it right. I got one price on the phone doubled at the door. So I understand that they have a certain billing structure but to be laughed at when I said I wasn't told was the moment I knew I would not give them any more of my money. They installed a munchkin boiler and it is super junk. I have to replace the spark plugs 2 times per year. That isn't their fault but it adds to my frustration. So I bought the part and installed it and I saved over 1000 dollars on the quoted price 1600. The part was 400
I found this company's information on our heating system and I am glad it was there. A tech was at my home within 2 days of my call (not an emergency) and was beyond helpful, professional, and genuinely nice. He answered all my questions and gave great advice. The owner, Chris, completed a follow-up call to check in, which is rare these days - they seem to truly care about the customers. He too was super easy to talk to and I am actually looking forward to my cooling service in the spring. Highly recommend.
There was a mistake made with a repair they performed on my boiler that created a significant headache for me and required additional repairs to be performed. Although I was frustrated with the error, I recognize that everyone occasionally makes mistakes. Importantly, this company dispatched someone very quickly to address the problem and even though it took several visits to finally resolve it, they acknowledged responsibility for the mistake, did not charge me for either the parts or labor for any of the additional work required to fix it, and provided me an extended warranty on the parts they needed to replace. The owner also called me personally to apologize for the error and the inconvenience to me, and then in an exceptional demonstration of his good faith and commitment to ensuring I felt valued as a customer, offered to make a donation to the charity of my choice. As I said, anyone can make a mistake. It says more about this company that they were willing to do the right thing afterward.
We were assigned to Runnemede by our Home Warranty Company after the first company they provided us could not come look at our nom working heater for almost 48 hours in February. Runnemede had someone at our home within 2 hours of being contacted by the Home Warranty Company. The tech quickly determined the issue was with the motor on our furnace and submitted all the paperwork to get the part and installed it the next morning. The company went above and beyond to assist us during a stressful time of not having any heat the day before our daughter’s birthday party that was planned at our home. We will be requesting them again if we have any other issues. They truly care about the customers they serve.
Excellent and friendly service. The prices were good and the work quality was excellent. They showed up when they said they would and were very neat. Mark was the latest tech. to provide service and he was helpful in making decisions. I highly recommend Runnemede Plumbing.
I highly recommend them everyone there couldn’t have been any nicer and very helpful!! Had our hot water heater leak like crazy on us messed up our entire game room! And someone came out yesterday to look at it and he said they could fix it today 2/15. Well we called them 2/14 and they had closed early due to the holiday but they made it happen!! We where their 1st appointment today and the men who installed it where friendly and helpful I couldn’t be anymore pleased. Thank you so much!!
Great service and very honest technicians. Dave was quick and did a great job working on my heater. I have used this company for years and am very happy with their work ethic.
Couldn't meet much nicer, kinder ppl. I've used these guys several times and my experience is always the best. Very knowledgeable about furnaces, hot water heaters, plumbing and air conditioners. Thanks again guys and for sending me my favorite Dave....
I had the best service today on my furnace! Dave from Runnemede Heating took his time, didn't try to upsell me, checked all safety features, and best of all, got my heat on! I will be using them for all my heating, air conditioning, plumbing AND electrical needs (and I have alot)
I own a local business in the community and have known them to be a well established and a reputable contractor.
Buyer beware. I was charged $249 for approximately 30 mins of work (that's from the time the technician arrived until he left). In my mind, that equates to $500/hr fee. Even if I factored in a half hour for driving time, it would still be $250/hr fee. The owner/manager justified this rate by quoting me the costs of running a business - insurance, trucks, and salaries, but how is this any different or unique from other reputable plumbing companies? He didn't seem overly concerned that I will not be a repeat customer. I guess when you've fleeced one already, you don't need them to come back.
