Don't believe the good reviews, I'm sure the plumbing company posted them. My elderly mother had an emergency and called them. They charged her $3,800 for a new sump pump.! She has a 600 square foot house. Oh yes they did help her sweep up the water in the basement. They told her if she paid cash, it would be $3,000. Tax cheats , too! THE SUMP PUMP THAT THEY INSTALLED WAS USED. They told her with the sump pump they installed, she would never have to worry about water in the basement again. Interesting that it's connected to a sanitary sewer. ILLEGAL INSTALLATION.! That repair should not have cost much more than $1,000. These people are scum of the earth. When they left they hugged my mother. I hope the city doesn't catch on that her sump pump is connected to a sanitary sewer! Plumbing License not listed on website. BEWARE. DO NOT USE. EXTREMELY OVERCHARGED PRICES. Also tax evaders and unlicensed. Thieves..!!!! Scum!!!!!
From the very first person I spoke with to the very last and everyone in between, there is a very noticeable focus on customer satisfaction. I needed a new boiler and took me one month shopping and getting quotes because I wanted to make sure I chose the correct service company. I have to say that I have absolutely zero to complain about A-solutes/ Gold Medal. Instead, I was blown away with the level of attention to service and detail demonstrated by everyone with whom I interacted. I give credit to the staff, but also to the company’s leadership because I am sure that the reason your employees operate at that level has something to do with the company’s mission. Thank you for my new boiler
Wonderful service. Very nice. But unfortunately they're not in business anymore. They're affiliated with Gold medal plumbing with whom I'm not happy with and will NEVER use again because of their unwillingness to replace a pipe that they broke. They chose to put some kind of boot on instead of replacing the small section of pipe they had to replace. I priced the pipe at home Depot and it was $3 and change. I hope it was worth it for them to lose a customer. Like I said A Absolute was great when they were unfiliated with Gold Medal!
Not even a month after a repair was made it is flooding again. I called the company and they tell me that they joined with another company and therefore they are not able to honor the warranty they supposedly offered when the job was done. Also, about a week after the first job I called them to do an almost 7000 job to replace a leaking pipe, they did it and within 48 hours was leaking again and this time they told me that it was from another join and therefore I had to pay again to get it fixed. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this people.
I have used them several times. One time we didn’t know how to put on the heat when we first got the house and the plumber came in and told us what to do step by step and how to maintain it. I called them last night because the boiling was leaking. My husband fixed it before they came. They always come the same day and are reliable.
Called for a steam pipe to be replaced. Told me they’d meet me at a certain time. Turns out it was “a time frame” fine. I waited for an additional 3 hours and was quoted $2300!!! $2300 for a job that cost $700.00!!!! Okay, but heck no!!! I hate wasting my time and then the nerve to offer me that type of quote!! Two other companies quoted $700 and $650! This place is a rip off and does not respect your time! Never again!
The man was very nice came out on emergency need. Could not fix said call company on demand hot water system. Said weeks to get part. We called another plumer after he left had it going in 30 min cost 75 $ not 800 as stated by other plumer if he fixed it
Awesome guys, super polite we thought we had a problem at home but they came over and they did an extremely simple fix. Because it was an extremely simple fix they did not charge us for the visit. Will definitely call again, super impressed by their professionalism and willingness to charge a fair price.
My technician was Victor. He was great. He explained the issue and the different ways he could fix it. He explained the cost associated with each option. He did his best to make sure he did the job right at the best price. He was quick and efficient. I explained to the dispatcher my concerns with the current pandemic and that I would prefer to enter and exit through a certain area and stay out of my main living area. Victor respected all my wishes and maintained distance and wore a mask the entire time he was here. Made me feel very comfortable. I would use them again without question.
This company was amazingly responsive and ready to accommodate my schedule. The technician was professional and courteous. They checked my gas pipes and fittings for the whole system, performed pressure test, repaired all the leaks and replaced valves. Their price was fair giving the fact my situation needed immediate attention. I recommend them.
House heater stopped working and I called A-Absolute for service. The technician came in within 2 hours of my call and was able to fix the issue immediately. Reasonable pricing as well. Overall I am very happy with the service and will recommend to my friends and family in the future. Thank you Gil.
A Absolute Plumbing sent their plumber out (unfortunately I don't have his name) to replace the drain pipes underneath the sink leading to pipe in basement which connected to main line on 11/02/20. He was very professional, courteous and explained every step of what the job entailed. These were very old pipes and therefore over the years had a very serious build up issue. To access the area in order to remove and connect the new pipe he was able to do so efficiently by going through back wall of sink and some of the area behind the dishwasher using only the space needed to get the job done. Once job was completed he cleaned up all debris including taking the old pipe away. I highly recommend this company for doing great work and making sure the job is done right the first time. 5 stars for the plumber for a job well done. In order to get to the wall behind the dishwasher the plumber had to move it out. Unfortunately the electrical connection became detached. A Absolute Plumbing did not hesitate to send out an electrical person (Victor) who reattached the power to the dishwasher and made sure all the wiring was put back exactly as it was when installed. He too was very courteous, professional and explained what had to be done. He made sure the power and wiring was working properly before leaving. I am also rating Victor with 5 stars as well for his great work on reconnecting the dishwasher. The pipe work is fantastic and the dishwasher works like a dream. This company stands behind their work 100% so when any issues arise they very quickly follow up to rectify them. I am more than happy with the work done.
I set up my appointment for the $79 Heater Tune Up special with online chat. I explained to the technician that my home has a Utica Boiler and we have steam radiators. The technician assured me that the special covered my boiler. The technician explained what the tune up consist of and that my appointment was set for November 14, 2020 at 11:00am. It all went wrong when the A-Absolute plumber did not show up until 1:14pm. I did not receive a phone call of his ETA or anything. I was just about to leave out to make another 2pm appointment. I showed him to the boiler and he immediately said, “oh this is $550 to tune up. He immediately told me what he will have to do that will take 2 hours. I told him half that stuff is DIY and I have been doing it myself (like cleaning the sight glass) and draining the boiler. I told him I can’t wait another 2 hours and he was supposed to be here at 11am. I will not be calling A-Absolute to come out for anything ever because it was just unprofessional to tell me one price over chat and then say another price before even doing a full inspection. Meanwhile, I was supposed to get a quote on radiator services and dryer vent installation and the technician didn’t even know why he was at my house and what jobs he was supposed to be doing.
I could not recommend A-Absolute enough! We had an "Urgent" HVAC request, and initially tried to use AJ perri. They scheduled us 2 days out, and then when the date of service arrived they were late, and claimed that they couldn't find parking in Hoboken and needed to reschedule for a week later. After AJ Perri fell through, we reached out to Absolute and they were here in less than hour! Alex our technician was polite, speedy, and knowledgeable. We would definitely use Absolute again and plan on recommending them to other Hoboken residents.
I’ve used these guys twice so far, the first time for valve and pipe repair when installing a washer and dryer, and then most recently to repair a new heating unit. Their team came the day of in both cases, were friendly/personable and got their jobs done very quickly. Jesse and Orlando, were very professional and were able to diagnose and explain the issue clearly and within a few minutes. To further make sure that the work was done currently, they stuck around and tested the equipment to make sure that it was performing consistently. I know if there’s ever something urgent that I’ll be calling them.
I had a rusty valve that was leaking, I called, they were able to have someone come and replace it when I was available. The person who they sent was very respectful and professional. The repair was finished quickly and cost as much as I was expecting, no surprises.
This is the first review I have ever posted. We have had an issue with water in the basement for years and had many plumbers that were unable to find and fix the issue. Absolute visited and within 30 minutes had diagnosed the issue and was able to locate a hard to find cap to access the catch basin. The drain/pipe line was cleared and restored water to the house.
I highly recommend . They were awesome in responding and came Out within 2 hours of my phone call. This was a Sunday morning and they didn’t charge extra for weekend . The technician was knowledgeable and corrected problem and changed part and my heat was up and running quickly . He stayed and made sure all was well . Price was reasonable and woek was done professionally and i will use them again and again. I was very happy that the technician took time to explain things to us and made us understand the problem . Thank you for always coming out quickly and taking care of us . This was our second time using this company and I will only use them . Keep up the great work and professional Customer service and professional technicians .
Great service I had a emergency in my Laundromat my water tank storage broke I called absolute they arrived in 1 hours did some repairs. The following day Louis the technician arrived and by late afternoon they installed a new water storage tank . Lois was very professional in handling my situation. We have an external sewer pump that had given us issues for a few years until it quit. A Absolute serviced it the first year and it was quite a challenge! They nailed it and though it took a few extra days, we were happy with the repair. Not quite a year later, there was an issue that they took care of quickly and with minimal interruption. This year it quit. The A Absolute team worked hard and fast to make sure it was replaced as quickly and painlessly as possible. And they worked within our budget to meet our needs. Good service - good work - professional personnel (and over 3 years we met quite a few of them!). We would call A Absolute again!
