RAS is the best for heating and cooling systems. Our condenser died and we shopped around for estimates to replace the entire system rather than just the condenser. Hector from RAS came out to look at the job and to determine the best solution for us. He took his time measuring everything and taking pictures. Within a couple of days, Ed provided a quote for us that was very competitive. He was professional and patient with us answering our questions and explaining the systems they would install. We chose RAS to do the job. Vickie sent us all the paperwork to get things started and scheduled our installation within a couple of days. Chris arrived on time the day of installation and professionally led his crew during the entire job. From start to finish, the crew was neat, careful when going through the house, cleaned everything up, and spent time with us explaining how everything worked and what we needed to do. Working with everyone at RAS was a pleasure. We highly recommend them for any heating and ac work.
This has been a great company to work with. Ed visited several times and made various adjustments to the heat pump ductless mini-split proposal to ensure the system is just right for our home. Vickie was very helpful with navigating the town permitting process. Bill, John, and the rest of the installation team were extremely professional, handling every aspect of the project with great care and creativity -- there was a clear sense that what they delivered to us is what they'd provide for their own families.
Residential Air Systems was amazing. Ed visited multiple times to prepare a quote, which was very competitive. He was professional and honest, and he even took my phone calls after installation to answer my questions about using the system. Installation of the ductless units was quick and easy, and the installers took care to clean up well after their work was done. Highly recommended!
We had an air conditioning emergency on Memorial Day weekend. I received a call back within 1 hour. Hector Perez was able to come out on Sunday and fix our air conditioning unit. He was on time proficient and kind. I highly recommend this company. Thank you RAS !

Appointment was scheduled for 4/17 between 4p-6p and no one showed. No phone call, no nothing. **UPDATE** Steve called today and was extremely apologetic. Steve acknowledged his mistake and immediately wanted to make it right. He promptly responded to my home and performed a thorough inspection of my old system and fully explained what was needed to replace the unit. Although no work has been done, I fully appreciate that he was willing to correct his mistake.
Look no further! We used Residential Air Systems to replace our entire HVAC system this spring (two energy-efficient furnaces and two AC condenser units). My husband and I had been putting the job off for over a year, until we contacted Residential Air Systems. They made the process seamless, and fit us in quickly. Their price could also not be beat! We were blown away by the crew's professionalism, care, and attention to detail (white glove service). They addressed all of my concerns and spent time explaining and showing us around our new systems. We immediately felt a huge difference in the climate of our home. We've done a lot of work on our house and your team and service was bar none.
We recently decided to upgrade our heating & air conditioning system. We interviewed various providers & were impressed by Ed Mann’s (RAS’s owner) expertise and proposal. Connor Loesch led the RAS crew who worked quickly, quietly & cleanly, which was important not only for us, but for our 3 grandchildren who we often babysit. All of our ducts were replaced, several new vents were cut into the ceilings & attic, & the heater & air conditioner were replaced. The construction work took only one day to complete & at the end of the day our home was as clean as it had been before the crew arrived. 3 follow-up visits were necessary in order to set up the 2 new smart thermostats & several sensors. These visits were each made on time by Connor, who was courteous, respectful & who explained the system to us in detail so that we understood how to operate it properly. Ed, Connor & the RAS team are true professionals with the knowledge, skill & experience to make your home comfortable, while keeping you well-informed and at ease. You will not go wrong with RAS!
I needed a new AC unit along with new ducts and Residential Air Systems was recommended to me. They were very responsive, and their price was reasonable. The team did an awesome job, worked hard from start to finish, and completed ahead of schedule. They were all friendly and worked meticulously (cleaned up everything before they left). I would highly recommend RAS and I’ll be using them for all my future HVAC needs.

RAS performed a full renovation of my forced air HVAC system, converting from a single unit, one zone system to a two unit, two zone system in my two-story colonial home. This involved identifying and disconnecting all ducts servicing the second floor, installing a second furnace & AC system with new ducts and vents in the attic servicing the second floor, and replacing the existing old furnace & AC. Their price quote came in significantly lower than the company that I had previously been using and it included all of the "upgrades" that the other company was going to charge extra for. They showed up on time, were professional and courteous, and finished on time.
Hector provided very professional service for us. Analyzed the problem with my heating system and spotted problems with duct work where heat was escaping. Looked in multiple areas of the house and gave very helpful feedback. Will definitely get on a twice yearly maintenance program with him. Very knowledgeable guy!

RAS front start to finish did an excellent job. RAS replaced my furnace and water heater with professionalism and fair price. Workers were on time and neat. Vickie is the MVP in the office, very nice and helpful throughout the whole process. Thank you RAS again.

We would highly recommend Residential Air. Connor was so professional and detailed oriented. He talked to us about all the different options we had and explained everything making it very easy for us to chose there services. They did the job on time and also there was no wait they got us in the schedule and were on time and so neat and professional. Dave was the lead person and came over 1st to talk with us and make sure everything was answered and then his rest of his team came in after. Scott handled all the stuff outside and was so precise with his work so neat and accurate to make sure everything was in place. Shawn was also assisting and was very nice and made sure everyone had there supplies properly and cleaned everything up as they did there job. Connor also was there supervising and installing our Ecobee which we love and is so easy to work with and it's so convenient. When job was done we were so satisfied and we already have seen a difference in our heating bill and have saved us alot of money. Whenever we call we are greeted by Vicki that is very helpful and always gets an appointment for us and is convenient. Connor is very knowledgeable and is our go to person anytime of the day or night he answers all his calls and texts and that to us is why we will and always will use them for any future services. Thank you guys for helping us out and making us feel so confident in all your hard work.
Doing an addition at house and interviewed multiple vendors for new hvac and replacement of old system - when I met Ed - I knew immediately that his company was the right match - 95% complete and Ed’s team did not disappoint - they came with a team of 7, worked professionally and was full service (meaning they did all vents and ran lines for dryer). I plan on using them for maintenance and would have no issues recommending to family members and others - no brainer
During the coldest night of the year, our heating stopped working. Called Residential Air Systems and they responded right away. Connor came early and found the problem right away. Of course it also happens to be Christmas Eve and everything is closed but Connor was able to find the motor for the HVAC system. Within picking up the motor from far away everything was done within 2 hours. Christmas Eve and Christmas is saved. Then Hector came to install the part efficiently and now we are with heat. I don’t know what I do without a reliable company like this. They are courteous and professional.
Residential Air is the best! I called late last night with a problem, my furnace stopped running, and they called me promptly in the morning. By 10 am they had diagnosed the issue, ordered parts and fixed it! Connor is a true professional and reccomended ways that I can improve my heating system and gave me an honest reccomendation. All in all, if you are in Essex County, NJ and are having an issie with your HVAC, do yourself a favor and call RAS!!
Connor and Billy and team did an extraordinary job designing and installing a complex ductless mini split system for our old and convoluted house. They were professional and terrific to deal with. I couldn’t be happier with them as our partner for this big and important project. And we are thrilled with the result!
