Great service and price for job well done
Very disappointed with Best. In 2011, Joe was the only plumber and was on fire to grow his 3 year old business. Now, he will not respond to a request about the descaling shutoff valves on the Rinnai he installed in 2011 so I can descale the unit. He never left instructions this needs to be done once a year along with replacing the water filter. (The unit is still working fine, but has never been serviced!). The lady in the office said they will NOT rpt NOT service this unit since it has been 11 years! (I know a much better company than Best that will descale the unit, but I am capable.) When Joe removed the 90 gallon water heater it had water hammer suppressors on the hot and cold water lines. I asked about replacing these. His response “don’t worry about it”. I lived with water hammer for about 8 years and finally called him. He and 2 of his crew came to my house and put in a pressure regulating valve to reduce the water pressure. Now we all know this is not going to stop the water hammer, so they entered the crawl space and hammered the nails holding the pipe clamps. Joe pointed to the intake water line for the 3M water filter. More on this later. They did the attaboys and left, but I still had water hammering. Not good for washing machines, dishwashers and toilets. So I called Jet plumbing and they came out right away and installed an expansion tank in the line before the 3M water filter where Joe had been pointing and voila, no more water hammer. It cost less than $300. Thanks for nothing, Joe. I will figure out the descaling ports for my Rinnai.
As the owner of PuroClean we come across plumbing problems frequently, Best Plumbing is our "go to" plumbing company for all of our plumbing needs in Reno/Sparks. I couldn't recommend them any higher (would give 6 stars if possible) and would 100% recommend contacting Best for all of your leak repairs, hot water heater repairs or installs, sump pump installations, irrigation systems, etc. They are very appropriately named... simply the Best!
We have used Best Plumbing and Heating for a variety of projects in our house, from baseboard heating repair, toilet repair, leak repair, and even helping us install some new sinks. I'm not one to write a lot of reviews but I do read them when looking to do a project, so I wanted to make sure I leave a review for this team for anyone who may be looking. They have always been very professional and responsive and do great quality work. Kathy in the office is quick to respond to any calls and helps to schedule us quickly at a time that works for us. We have had nothing but excellent interactions with everyone on their team and they are always honest and upfront about any repairs or work needed. We will continue to use them in the future and couldn't recommend them more. Thank you to the whole team!
Yes yes yes hire this company. Kathleen in office is great. Owner Joe is great. Techs were great. Very responsive. Very quick. Timely. Very informative. They saved me thousands and saved me time and hassle diagnosing differently then another company that I was trying to hire did (they weren't calling me back to return). This is how I know everything happens for a reason. I am thankful for this company and will definitely be using them for my remodel and any other plumbing needs I may have. I am so happy to have hot water after 2 days and with a 6yr old and elderly father that I wish I could just hug everyone at this company! Customer service is lacking in so many ways with contractors these days... not with Best Plumbing!!! You are in good hands. UPDATE: just make sure you get clarification on hourly rate because they ended up charging me a 2nd guy in which I was not advised of when I asked about the rates and when I got a quote. So bill ended up being double what I was expecting.
I would definitely not use them again.
Joe's Best Plumbing installed an outdoor water pipe at our home in December, 2017. The pipe's entrance into the house was not done properly. Every time it rains, water comes in through the wall. Granted, Joe and his team tried to rectify this by various means, but to no avail. When it rains, we have water seeping in through the garage wall.
We had a small emergency at our business in S. Reno, Joe and his crew were immediately on the spot. They reassured our office manager and calmed the employees nerves as they tackled our little emergency. I can't thank Best Plumbing & Heating enough for their punctuality, knowledge and professionalism.They have earned our business for life. Joe and his crew have done several jobs for us and all have been done great! They just finished a beautiful fire pit in our backyard, we couldn't be happier with the service and quality of work.

I called and didn't realize that a garbage disposal that cost 99.00 dollars at home depot would cost 165.00 lol with a 10% discount that never showed any where and charged labor for lol 10 minutes at 148.50.I told my husband that he was supposed to be there at 12 he had it changed by the time that I arrived 12:01. My husband told the guy, your not the same guy. Pulled a fast one on US beware of the price. Friendly Plumbing said she was sorry that cost so much. 😣

poor service
The quote that I received was rather high. It's understandable seeing that they didn't want to under shoot the job. I needed an old 3 handle hot/cold setup changed to a single handle action. I tore down the wall of tile to make everything accessible (I'm redoing the tile anyhow) I had the plumber(s) come and literally took an hour. I saved a huge amount of time by doing the demolition myself. I was happy with the amount of time they were in and out. From what I see it looks good, I have yet to get any tile work done, so I can't really gauge the functionality. However here is where I'm lost. I apparently got charged for 3 hours, when mind you it was an hour maybe, maybe an hour and 10 min. I got charged for their drive time, that wasn't in the quote. I got charged for the time it took them to get the part I needed, that wasn't in the quote. What was in the quote was hours to complete the job and parts. That's usually what you're paying for. When I go to dinner, I don't pay a fee for someone slaughtering my cow do I? That's completely bogus, I'm not happy whatsoever.
My one year new water heater exploded all over the garage floor. No shower, no hand washing, no dish washing for 5 days while I struggled with the warranty process. Simple telephone call to Joseph at BEST PLUMBING, LLC 775- 830-9309. Arrived an hour later, assessed the trouble and arranged for a new replacement, installation, and resolution to the shower situation, with empathy and expertise! Absolute life saver. Professional, speedy, and Best Plumber ever.
Why can't all businesses be this great? Super nice on the phone, came out right away, worked fast, super nice, and didn't cost a fortune! I highly recommend this company!
I was referred to Joe by Jim at Enhanced Electrical Services who we trust and use for all of our electrical needs. We were hoping to find a plumbing company we could feel the same about. Well, we found it. We have used Joe on many projects now. He is responsive, reliable, gets the job done correctly and at a fair price. It's so nice to just be able to Trish in the office, tell her our needs, and know that we'll be taken care of. Recommend them highly.
I contacted Best Plumbing 2 days ago, regarding a noisy hot water recirculating pump, and have not heard a peep from them. I unplugged the pump, and figure I'm saving $25-30/month on gas & electricity. Thanks for nothing. Best Plumbing will be one of the last companies I will call for any plumbing work.
