5 years and a month after having Brainard install the maratherm ac unit, the compressor valves went bad. Unlike their competitors who offer a 10 year warranty on basically any unit, Brainard and maratherm only offered 5 year. They told us there was nothing could do, except look at it and charge a fee for that (we had someone else come out to diagnose why it simply shut down and wouldn't run). We have consistently used them for maintenance and servicing for 10 years, but NEVER again. The reason it's "affordable" is because it's substandard.
Michale went out of his way to help me get my AC up and running. On the evening of 4th of July my AC stopped working. When I got home from work the next day it was 90 degrees in my house! After speaking with Michael he mentioned he would meet up with me to get me the part I needed. It was 8:45 pm when when we meet up and by 9:30 pm I had everything back up and running. Thanks Michael!!
Wonderful people, great rates
So my aunt hired this company for heating and air installation on a new house build. They did not follow the plan, installed outdoor ac unit in the wrong location. Upon returning to move the unit to the right location, only moved the unit and covered the hole in the siding with a vent cover. Also neglected to move vent work from the indoor heating system to proper location with the air conditioner unit. In all 3 large unneccessary holes in the wrong location. They made a mistake and only halfway made it right. If this doesn't get resolved we will need to move the vent work ourselves and be responsible for replacing and paint matching the siding that was swiss cheesed due to their mistake.
