I contacted this A/C repair company for a capacitor repair, and they promptly came out the next morning. The repair was done well, and my system is now functioning efficiently. However, it's important to note that their pricing is on the higher side at $475 for parts and labor. Overall, they provided a satisfactory service, but it may not be suitable for those looking for more affordable options.
We had Steve come all the way to Sedalia to rescue us out of the heat! He saved us a ton of money on the job, he installed a Mini-Split to our Master Suite and then added a AC coil to our furnace. Very professional and quick! We are so grateful you came all the way here to do the job!
I'm so impressed with the service we received from Liles Heating and Cooling! Steve came right out when our AC went out and got us back up and running in no time! VERY trustworthy, honest, fair and kind. I'm honestly blown away with the quality of service compared to other companies we've used in the past. If you don't know who to call, these are your guys. Most techs would have tried to sell us a new unit but Steve took the time to figure out a solution that works for us and I felt like a top priority. I will continue to use services with this company because I know I can trust them to do the right thing and have zero complaints about my experience. Highly recommend Liles Heating & Cooling!!!! I can not express how much we appreciate Liles Heating and Cooling in Peculiar. Our furnace went out on Christmas Eve. After calling several HVAC companies and leaving messages with no callbacks, Steve Liles personally answered his phone. He came out on Christmas Day, and discovered a broken wire to the blower motor. Steve refused payment and wished us a Merry Christmas. Liles Heating and Cooling has a return customer from here on out.

Admittedly, our furnace is older and is located in our attic, and so the couple local companies we had contacted were not too interested in coming out to service our furnace. Liles had been referred to me by a friend who spoke very highly of the company. WOW! I called him on MOnday, before Thanksgiving, not expecting him to be able to get out until after the holiday, but he was here on Wednesday. Made no fuss about having to climb into the attic. He made the assessment, and was even willing to call my husband who was not home at the time, and tell him what he had found. He ordered the part, and once it arrived the first week of December, his tech was out to replace the old part. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that the tech showed up without the correct ladder to access the attic, even after a call prior to coming to verify ladder length needed. This was no skin off my nose, but caused there to be two additional techs on a job that only required 1. I will say, all three were very polite, and addressed all concerns I had. This furnace has had issues since the original install. It seems like every year, we have had to call a technician for service because it would not function. And usually had to call the company back a couple times before the furnace would function correctly. THIS YEAR, one trip has fixed the furnace, and Steve identified the cause of the issue the we have had all along. He could have tried to sell us a new furnace due to the age of this one, but he did not. He arrived when he said he would, was efficient in assessing the issue, discussed with me and my husband, and ordered the part. I am SOOOOOOO pleased with this company, this owner and the service provided and highly recommend them.
Had a great experience using Liles Heating & Cooling. Steve came out the same day as I called. He immediately knew what the issue was with our heater. Extremely professional and reliable. Highly recommend!
I just bought my house in Lakewood and needed my furnace and ac looked at. I called Steve and he came the same day and serviced my units. Steve is very professional and personable. He made me feel like family. I will be keeping my business with Steve and his family going forward.
Steven Liles was very responsive from the moment I reached out requesting service until after he left and had more advice to share. This is a family owned company and from the interaction I had, I can tell they as a company value honesty and integrity. If you are looking for a company that will take care of you like you are one of their own, I highly suggest you give them a call.
It's never good news when your AC goes out in the middle of Summer, but Liles H&C was able to get here the same day and actually had the part with them to cool the house back down without having to order and wait for parts. I also learned a lot about taking care of the system and will be using Liles services for the scheduled maintenance on our system in the future. Thank you again for the quick response and getting our system repaired!

A few months ago we had a smart thermostat installed by our alarm company. It was cold when they installed it so we had no idea there was an issue since it didn't effect the heat portion. Turns out the thermostat was incompatible with our hvac system. Caused multiple parts to burn up. Steve spent hours, multiple days and countless trips running between the parts house and our home to get us fixed up. This man went above and beyond what was expected or called for. Our unit was not working properly and we didn’t know who to call but wanted to use someone local (Peculiar, MO). We found Liles on the internet and gave them a call. Best phone call we ever made. Steve spoke with my husband, answered his questions, and discussed his thoughts and possible problems and fixes. He was in no hurry at all and very informative. He came the next day and immediately tried to save us money with a possible fix. Although it didn’t work after a period of time, Steve applied the cost of what we had spent to the cost of our new unit. We discussed it on a Friday, he gave us an estimate on Saturday and by Monday evening we had a new unit! It is extremely quiet and works perfectly! All the amazing Google reviews lead me to call Liles Heating & Cooling when our AC stopped working. Steve Liles answered my call, talked to me about the problem, and scheduled an appt to be over as soon as I was available. He arrived right on time & was very friendly + professional. He fixed the problem and explained how to prevent it from happening again. He also went above and beyond by talking to me about some other maintenance topics that could prevent further issues down the road. Liles is a family owned business, that has been in business for 35+ years, with plans to bring his sons on later. His company is a rare gem nowadays & I'm grateful to have found them. I'd give ten stars if I could! Thank you for all your help Steve.
***sadly, my review has changed*** Steve blew us off. We asked him 3 different times, PLUS the 2 times he came out, for a WRITTEN ESTIMATE. We do not do any work like this without a written estimate because we have been hosed in the past by other contractors. It's the professional, legit way to run a business. We were polite each time we asked but after his behavior and no contact for a couple of months, we are fed up and will not use him in the future for any work. He never provided or sent the written estimate. he kept asking for our address, which he should have had because he drove here twice. So I had to give him our address multiple times, including texting it to him. At one point he said he mailed the written quote, but didn't have it with him so couldn't remember what we talked about. He suggested he mailed it to the wrong address and that when he got back to his office he would confirm he had the right address. He never called. If he "mailed it" a "second time", it never arrived at our address. He knew we had this issue with another contractor in the area who wasn't really wanting to do the job because of their busy schedule. Instead of just telling us that, the contractor told a relative of ours that he wasn't going to send us a quote because he didn't have the time to do the install. Steve knew we were upset at that because its unprofessional. That contractor could have just been honest. Likewise, Steve could have just been honest. We spent all spring and summer trying to find a company to replace our hvac. we spent 2.5 months on that with Liles HVAC expecting that's who we were going to hire. The only thing that held up us hiring him was his neglect to provide a written estimate. The reason that is important is so that we, as well as the contractor, are on the same page about what exactly will be done or not done on the job. it protects them, as well as us. I don't trust any company who will not provide that because it leads to miscommunication or extra
This company is an example of why you must find someone with experience. First guy I called tried to sell me $5k in new equipment. I called in Steve for a second opinion and he was able to do the repair in a timely manner and just for a reasonable repair charge. He showed me how to prevent future problems as well. Very professional, very knowledgeable, strongly recommend.
On Sunday July 21st Liles Heating and Cooling came to my home to repair my a/c. I was in a fight with my home warranty company and finally was told I could use who ever I wanted. Made multiple calls to emergency lines with no call back. a friend of mine got me in touch with Liles. He arrived at my home a few hours later. He discovered that my system was 2 lbs low on coolant. Well previous company charged me for the same thing and did not actually do anything. Also the other company did not leak test my system. Steve provided proof of everything he did and explained everything to my wife and I. He also only charged us for the services he provided and didn't change high weekend fees Recharged the system and found and sealed a leak. He finished up his work as guests were arriving for my son's birthday party. The home warranty company was not happy at the pictures provided to them and money charged previous. Steve back us up and because of that the warranty company is refunding us the money we paid for repairs. Also received a free check up for the heater in the fall. As of 8/5/19 the a/c is working great. I plan to never call anyone else after the amazing service!!
Steve did a amazing job when my A/C went out at my Tile showroom. He came out same day and had it fixed faster than he predicted. Would highly recommend him!! I definitely will!!
These guys should be wearing superhero capes. Super fast and knowledgeable. So friendly, like having my brother come to the house for a visit. Look no further, companies like this are few and far between. <3
