I had a wonderful experience with Cities 1 Plumbing. I submitted a request via email Sunday night and was contact Monday morning by Megan. She was delightful to speak to and was even able to schedule a same day toilet install. A few hours later Don showed up at my door and fixed my toilet issue within an hour. I had a functioning toilet in under 12 hours from the initial point of contact. I am super impressed and will be recommending them to family and friends.
I recently called to have 3 running toilets fixed! Josh, the plumber assigned to my case called before he came and gave me an ETA! What struck me, is how energetic and polite he was on the phone! So awesome to hear! He showed up when he said was going to, was sincerely polite in person as he was on the phone, and fixed all 3 running toilets! I strongly recommend Cities 1 Plumbing Heating, and Air Conditioning! Their service and professionalism was a breath of fresh air! 10/10
We had a leaking pipe late on Saturday, July 30. My husband called five different plumbing businesses that said they were 24 hour and seven days a week but two could not come out until Monday or Tuesday. Cities one was the only one that called us back and were able to come out Saturday evening. Jim could not have been more friendly and helpful and his quick response saved a lot of headache for my husband and I. I am thankful for the job they did and they have now earned all my future business. Thank you to Jim and the entire staff at cities one. Janet and Kevin
installed Mini split for my contractor, permit pulled 10/23/2020. They had to come out and fix the install august ($400) they call me on feb 07 2022 and tell me they never got paid and it is going to collections in a week. I reach out to my contractor and here is the response "Turns out I do know Rich at Cities 1! We chatted and I gave him the heads up on the check. Attached is the summary as you requested" I don't know what is going on with this company, but I had a terrible experience.
I am a maintenance technician for a property. I fix HVAC units and there are times when I too need help and the first company I call to be honest is Cities 1. I've dealt with other companies but after my experiences with Cities 1, I promise I'll never call anyone else ever again. From the very first phone call to every single technician that has come out to service/fix our units it is a pleasurable experience. The gal scheduling the appointment is extremely courteous, helpful, professional and always wants to help you. What else I really like is she seems knowledgeable too. The technicians are almost like old friends that come to help you out. They are personable, friendly, obviously incredibly knowledgeable and they share their expertise with you and explain what they did/are doing. What's more is they seem to always remember me too and I really like that. I honestly am thankful for Cities 1. I refuse to call anyone else because they are so great. Thank you Cities 1.
This is a mixed review, as I've had both a good and bad experience with Cities 1, ironically with the same service person. I will do my best to just explain the facts and let anyone reading these reviews make their own decisions. I was referred to Cities 1 a few months ago, and I had them come service my air conditioning in my townhouse. David R (HVAC) came, and he was very professional, explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. Given my general lack of knowledge on the subject, I felt very confident that David was doing great work at a fair price. We recently moved, and my duct-cleaning company said they could do their best work if the attic furnace were serviced by an HVAC professional first. So I called Cities 1 again, and I immediately explained to the rep there that this was my first priority. She assured me that wasn't a problem. When the day arrived, I was thrilled to get David R again. But days later, when the duct-cleaning company returned, they informed me that the attic furnace was not clean. When I inquired about this, David insisted that wasn't one of his objectives and then tossed out some obscene figure to do the work. Again, I was clear with the first person I spoke to what the main objective was, that this wasn't just a general checkup. I have since called Cities 1 every four or five days, and no one has provided me any solution or shown any accountability.
Dan Simmons and the team at Cities1 were the pros we needed after poor experience with a typical "sewer cleaner" company (in dispute now so won't mention their name...yet). Dan not only solved the sewer issues in my 1915 era home, but provided me with a real education in how to handle future problems. He was knowledgable, patient and thorough in exploring all possible causes, then called in Ben from McCollough to scope and auger my basement lines. I would highly recommend both companies. Don't be fooled by the 'same day, low cost' offers - get a professional diagnosis before agreeing to any fees or services, especially in older homes. By using Cities1, I saved thousands and now have total confidence in the solution they provided.
I gathered quotes from several HVAC providers in the twin cities. Cities1 gave me the best quote. They didn't try to pressure me into anything. They kept things simple: showed up, installed the furnace, charged what they said they would. Can't ask for more!
When I called Cities1Plumbing, I spoke with Emily, who was professional and so kind as I was upset and frantic about issues with my home. I was immediately put in touch with Dan who came out to our house with urgency and calmly explained everything to me in such an amazingly clear way. Cities1 saved our home. He addressed problems with ease and was so amazingly professional. I can't say enough about them. I highly recommend!

Dan Simmer did such a great job replacing the drain pipe for my bathroom. He took the time to explain everything to me and always asked if I had additional questions. Reasonably priced, professional and left things clean. I highly recommend Cities 1 and will definitely use them for future projects.
After a service call identified potential larger issues with our furnace Cities One quickly came out and gave us a competitive estimate and got the installation set up for the same week. Adam did an excellent job on the install. He added an extra cold air return box under the new furnace to increase and optimize the return air volume and furnace efficiency. He ensured all duct seams were taped. He was very courteous and informative and excellent clean up at job completion. I have had Cities One install and service my boilers and hydronic in floor heating system with excellent results on two homes. They are my go to HVAC contractor.
We've had them out for several projects and have been satisfied with the work and pricing. Will use again for future projects.
