I called to have someone come out and figure out why our Furnace wasn't working. Rich came out within and hour and figured out what was wrong. He would have replaced it but they don't work with our systems for warranty replacements, and told us to go with someone who does, since our furnace is still under warranty. He looked out for us to save as much money as we could, which is of high value. Definitely will work with this company in the future (once our warranty is out) Great Company Honest Company Well Valued Company Very Professional

Furnace quit working this morning. Called the office and had a call back from Rich within an hour. Fortunately, he was on another call fairly close by, so he came over and got us running again in no time. He knew exactly what to look for and charged a reasonable amount for the service that was provided. Great Service!!!!
Two years ago I needed a new a/c unit and thermostat for my Ramsey townhome, I obtained several quotes and ELK Mechanical had the Carrier brand I wanted and gave me the best quote. They did a great job installing my a/c unit and Ecobee thermostat too. Now, two years later, I was getting my Ramsey townhome ready to sell and my furnace died the week before it went on the market. ELK Mechanical not only gave me a great price on the furnace, they fit me into their schedule right away so I could get the new furnace installed before my home went on the market. Their guys did a great job and I was very happy with the new Carrier furnace they installed. Two months later, my new Apple Valley townhome also needed a furnace and a/c unit and ELK Mechanical once again gave me the best quote and I am very happy with the Carrier furnace and a/c unit and Ecobee thermostat they installed for me. I would highly recommend this company, they value their customers!

I had Air Mechanical out for three issues on June 30th. Carter was the plumber and Jason was the electrician. I could not be happier. They were both wonderful. Polite, professional and helpful.
Rich came out and knew immediately what was wrong with my A/C and fixed it very quickly. He was knowledgeable and explained to me what to do if it happens again. Amazing service and price, will definitely be calling them in the future!
E.L.K. is the best! 5 stars! I highly recommend you give them a call! Even after getting caught up in a extreme wind storm near Lino Lakes, nothing stopped Rich from completing my service request at my residence outside of Anoka. Rich checked my refrigerant and did an outstanding job educating me about my HVAC system. He gave me some valuable information about what to monitor this summer to keep my AC running. He even had an recommendation for a duct cleaning service provider.
My furnace had been not working for 3 days with temps in the 30’s. I had tried several other contractors but was told there was a 2 week wait. When I called Elk Mechanical I spoke with Nancy who was extremely helpful and compassionate and told me the the emergency technician would call me and take care of it the same day I called. Rich came out and promptly discovered the issue. Fixed the furnace so that we had heat for the night, returned the next day with parts and completed all the work. He was professional and very competent. He completed the work quickly and the rates were very reasonable. I will definitely refer anyone in need of HVAC repairs to Elk Mechanical and their competent team. Thanks Nancy & Rich!
A/C unit wasn't working. Rich came out and was incredibly helpful. Not only did he fix the problem, he walked me through what was going on, gave me some pointers for regular A/C maintenance throughout the year (clean your fan vents everyone!) and was easy to talk to. He diagnosed within seconds what was wrong - capacitor was broken - and replaced it quickly. Thermal override code was tripped on the compressor, so we waited until it cooled off and then it kicked on, the unit is working like it used to and the air is cool again! The repair price was very reasonable and I would highly recommend these guys. I'm definitely calling them first if I ever have an issue again.

I just had a new Carrier AC system installed this morning and I have to say that Both Rick and Austin are consummate professionals. Not only are they thoroughly knowledgeable of their profession, they are very personable. They showed up on time and were in and out in approximately 2 hours. This was a refreshing change from many if not most so-called professionals that I have dealt with in the past. You can't possibly go wrong with E.L.K..

This company is great. I have used them to for all of my HVAC needs in my house. Whenever I’ve needed service or an install they have always been there going above and beyond what any other company would do to make things right. Rich and Rick and everyone at the office are some real stand up people. They are my HVAC people, and I tell everyone about them.
We had some issues this winter due to a pitch in our furnace exhaust that wasn't quite right. Rick came over the next day and worked with it, explained everything thoroughly and took care of the issue very quickly. He was super nice and got everything wrapped up very fast.

I selected E.L.K because a friend of mine who is a construction tradesman had seen their work and said it was top notch. True to that comment, my installation was done with great care with little mess when they were done. When there have been questions/concerns since the install (now 1 year ago), Rick is quick to respond and sort things out. I very much appreciate that personal touch that is so hard to find these days.
Rich and his office staff were excellent. We had another company come out and their visit left us suspicious. Thankfully we reached out to ELK Mechanical HVAC for a 2nd opinion. He came in, diagnosed the issue immediately (a motor had some bearings that were "stuck" after sitting for the whole winter and all it needed was a spin to shake them loose again!) and had us up and running quickly. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and ethical. This is a company whose information you want to keep on file for future service calls! I rarely leave reviews, but felt that people need to know that a vendor is the real deal and not a rip off artist.
ELK is a great company to work with. They are honest, professional and very responsive. I have used them in the past for other jobs and again I needed to call on them recently. We had no AC on the hottest day of the summer and when others were telling a us a week Rich got there the next day. Rich found an issue that he said would likely lead to replacement but got us up and running. We did decide to replace the system and once again ELK was quick to respond with a very fair quote. Right in the middle of the three I did but with better equipment than the lowest. Ricky showed up on time for the install as promised and they did a fantastic job. They took care of covering the carpets and left the work area clean. I will go to no one else for all my HVAC needs.
