By pure luck we chose J&RS to pour some love into our recently purchased brownstone. From the initial consult, through the design process, to me saying a few too many time, "oh, and can we do this thing over here too...?" to the actual work and craftsmanship done, we couldn't be more pleased with the work done by J&RS and their team. Any time we had a question or concern, we heard back immediately. We still have a bit of work to do on our old victorian girl, and we plan to call J&RS to complete it.
J&RS has been an awesome company to work with. My bedroom addition is beautiful . Jamie did a perfect design that included all my requests. Tyler was the lead builder who was so easy to work with and I appreciated how important it was to him that I was happy with everything done during the building process. He checked in daily with me! Austin, the project manager, worked hard on making sure every detail was completed to my satisfaction. He was always on top of everything! Once the project was completed, Austin provided me with a neatly organized binder of information about the project along with warranties, etc. I appreciated all the details that your company paid such close attention to throughout my project. You should probably talk to your employees about their driving. 70mph in a 55mph zone, especially in a vehicle with your company name plastered on the side. This happened today, 4-18-23, around 4:45pm on Hwy 35. He exited Boundry Ave into Proctor.
J&RS is an awesome company to work for. They really care about each customer AND every employee. Everyone there is extremely driven to be the best at their craft and do the utmost to make every relationship employee or customer a positive experience. These people really care! If you get a chance to work for or with them - jump on it. You won't regret it.
We had a kitchen design done by the help of Jeannifer! From start to finish it was a painless and awesome experience! Jeannifer was so helpful in many ways and was so patient in all of our requests! The communication was good and seemed like if one was busy another would respond in a timely manner! We are so very happy with our kitchen it has all that we would ever need! So far the quality of the Lucerne cabinets is great! We would use J&Rs Build again but hope that this will be our forever home:)
J&RS provided us with a great construction experience. From the beginning conceptual design to the installation of the finishing touches - a one-stop shop. The management of the project was transparent and our project finished on budget. We are thrilled with our space and would recommend J&RS to our nearest friends and family!
My washing machine was emptying into my laundry tubs and the tubs stopped draining, they were plugged. My kitchen sink was backing up into my dishwasher as the kitchen sink drained. My water was hard and yellow and my water heaters were extremely old and using too much electricity even though they are on off peak. Everything was really old; I wondered if it could be fixed and could I afford it. I heard about J&RS and they came to my home and walked through every challenge with me. I was impressed with their knowledge and creativity as they thoroughly examined the most reliable and cost-effective solutions. Then I met four impressive, multi-talented employees. I thrilled watching their expertise and collaboration. They were efficient, creative and calm. It was a pleasure having these exceptional, caring and professional people in my home. J&RS did an awesome job on my exterior repair/renovation. They were very professional and communicated so well - and they did exactly what they said they would do. The project went off without a hitch! I will definitely use them again! Highly recommend!!
I was relieved to have Jace and Nate take control of the project and make it work. Everything turned out perfectly. Jace proactively made recommendations that I'm very happy we incorporated. Planning my next project with them now.
Check out J&RS on YouTube - they're a local start-to-finish remodeling company in Duluth. They re-did the shower drain system in my duplex bathrooms. Replaced 100 year old clogged cast iron pipe with new PVC up from the main sewer line to both showers, set a new tub for me, & reconnected the sinks/toilets along with all new HVAC ductwork installed from our basement furnace to our 2nd level apartment. Great work, excellent communication and fast - only 2 days!

I use their coworking space regularly and have had occasion to rent the conference room. I always appreciate how beautiful and clean it is. The atmosphere is great!
They are the best contractors I have ever hired! They are very professional & get projects completed in a timely manner! I with definitely hire them again for any of my construction needs!
J&RS helped us with the design & install of our kitchen, laundry & bathroom cabinets on our new build. My dream kitchen turned out exactly as I imagined it!
This winter my water spigot froze and started leaking at my home in Two Harbors. J&RS stopped out to fix the problem the next day. To gain access to the plumbing the guys had to cut into the finished drywall, after the plumbing was repaired, J&RS called up their in-house drywall guy and he had the drywall repaired and painted before I got home from work! The price was fair and the guys were prompt, I will definitely keep these guys in mind for any future remodeling or repairs!
Great crew! We just moved up to Duluth MN. Our realtor Korey referred me to Jace with J&RS. He is the contractor salesman. Jace made us feel welcome to the Twin Ports. He listened that we needed handicap accessible remodeling. He got his master tech plumber Marlin to install a washer hookup on the main level of the house. Marlin and his great crew of Tanner and Leo installed a one handle kitchen and bathroom faucet with expertise. We asked Jace one day and the next day the crew did the work with precision. The J&RS contractor salesman Jace and the expert plumbing crew if Marlin, Tanner and Leo made me and my family welcome home. We will always call the J&RS contractor crew when we need help with our new home. Sincerely Jamey
We've been working with J&RS since 2015 when they began construction on our home. After completing our home we've continued to use them for finishing projects. And most recently we needed assistance with an A/C unit. Each and every encounter we've had has been professional, prompt, and courteous. Their work is always top notch. Highly recommend.

This is the first time we built our home, J&RS has been a blessing to us. Great work ethic, very professional, respectful. We’ve never seen such young workers enjoy their work and take pride in it too. Very transparent in all their negotiations. We trust them very much with all the incredible work they do. We have used this company twice now, once a small project, and this past summer we did a larger remodel of our 20 yr old home. In the initial visit for an estimate, we gave them our wish list of projects, and after the estimate we planned to pare down the list. We decided to do it all at once, and had them here for 8 weeks. Since we are retired, we were here daily through the remodel, and they were very accomodating to us being around. They show up on time and clean up after themselves daily. At the end of the project, they even sent professional house cleaners for a final clean before a final inspection. A dumpster was emptied several times and they had an outhouse delivered to the site. The project manager Nate, was easy to communicate with, and very responsive to any questions or changes. We would definitely recommend this company, and will use them for any further projects.
