Had Kevin and his team install a couple mini split heat pumps in our home and couldn’t be happier! Units are very quiet and cool our home perfectly. Highly recommend Design Heating!

Geothermal heat pump running like new
Our furnace and air conditioner in a house we just purchased were over 20 years old and we could not get parts anymore. I wanted to get efficiency and take advantage of Minnesota Powers Cold Climate Heat pump rebate, Comfort Systems furnace rebate and the Federal Tax Credit for the Heat Pump. Kevin came to our home and put together a system that met the requirements for these programs and took the time to explain how the equipment operated. He also suggested an additional return and vent to even out the temperatures in the basement. Design Heating did the entire installation. The system is very quiet. After installation, Kevin calculated the temperatures that the heat pump and furnace should operate at to get peak efficiency, saving me the most money. He filled out the paperwork for the furnace and cc heat pump rebates and sent the heat pump rebate directly to Minnesota Power to be processed. Design Heating did a great job. After the rebates and tax credits, this energy efficient system cost less than the traditional furnace/air conditioner that we installed in our previous home a year ago. We had three estimates, but Design Heating was the only one that answered all my questions about the new technology. I'd recommend Design Heating to anyone who is looking to get a more efficient heating and cooling system for their home.

Design Heating installed a new geothermal heat pump for me. Customer service was great and the install crew was awesome. They even put down plastic to keep my carpet clean when walking around the house!

We were out of state and my smart home app notified me that our house temp was in the 40s and the outside temp was around 10. Kevin was able to get in and get the furnace fixed so our pipes (and dog) didn’t freeze. I appreciated his clear communication about the issue and the options to get the heat going again. I really can’t imagine a better outcome for that stressful situation, thanks!
Kevin is very knowledgeable about various heating systems. He replaced our geothermal heat pump and also installed a new propane boiler in another part of our house. He is very thorough and does a nice, neat job. I would recommend him to anybody!

I got three quotes to convert my heat from oil to gas...one was almost twice the price & the other two were approx the same except the other guy took forever to respond to my questions. Kevin of Design Heating replied to all of my questions within a day and he texts, which made communication so easy. I am so glad I chose him because his work was carried out in the same manner, he did the work exactly when he said he would and did a beautiful job, my utility room looks like somthing out of a magazine! The new Combi boiler made a weird noise on the first night, I panicked & text him at 9pm & he responded immediately, then stopped by the next day to check on it, turns out there was air in the lines, he released it, taught me some stuff about my boiler & was on his way. Best Part! After the job was complete & paid for he emailed me for signatures on rebates he applied for on my behalf! Who does that!?! He saved me like $400!
Kevin and Design Heating Inc. replaced an aging geothermal system with a new 5 series system from the manufacturer WaterFurnace. The system has been up and running for a month now and functions perfectly. Kevin and his associates were profesional, detailed, and were very responsive to questions all along the way. Kevin's bid for the project was also competitive--a consumer couldn't ask for more!
