Great service from these guys. Furnace went out and they walked us through exactly why it stopped running. Ended up replacing the unit same day. Installed enough to the point where it would function while some parts showed up overnight. Came in the next day and finished the job. Highly recommend!
I was in dier need when my furnaces went out, it was in the middle of winter and freezing cold in the house, I called Maheu Mechanical and it was the best call I could have ever made, Jeff came out immediately the same day and got one of my furnaces running to prevent a pipe from bursting. Since then I have gotten both furnaces replaced with high efficient furnaces and humidifiers, working great! Thanks again Jeff, you were a life saver!
Jeff was fantastic to work with. He was responsive, professional, and explained what he was going to complete and why. When our furnace stopped working, I was referred to Maheu Mechanical and he made sure we were taken care of same day! You can tell that Jeff is meticulous and enthusiastic about his work, something that sets him apart from most others. He cares about people and that the job is done to an exceptional degree. We are very pleased and would recommend Maheu Mechanical to everyone. We will certainly be calling again when help is needed.

I am so impressed with the expertise and professionalism of Maheu Mechanical. Jeff Maheu, the owner, serviced my +20-year-old gas furnace that needed repair today! It stopped working just before the temps are starting to dip. Brrrr!!! He troubleshooted the issue and advised what needed to be done to ensure my furnace was working properly including: cleaning out a spider web in one of the burner openings, repairing a fried wire, and replacing the igniter. He also blew out the dust and sediment around and inside the repair area and vacuumed the floor immediately around the furnace. Also, advised me about things I may want to do next year to keep the system running dependably and safely. I plan to call his service for future replacement of my air conditioner next year. Jeff was very pleasant and considerate while in my home. I highly recommend his service to anyone needing heating and cooling expertise, repair and/or installation. Back to cooking with gas! Jeff came out and trouble-shooted our 19 MONTH old furnace, when the company that installed it, couldn't, after two tries, and left me with a mess and bailed on me. He and the electrician he works with, figured out the "why" and the "what" and even the "when" and now I have heat! So grateful for the honest work of this company! I will NOT call any other heating/mechanical business again--this one's a keeper!
We just had our HVAC system replaced including a new furnace, new hot water tank, new AC, moving the AC from one side of the house to the other side, and removed and disposed a very old not working solar powered hot water tank. Jeff and his crew did an excellent job and we were very pleased with the result. Jeff and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and trustworthy. We highly recommend Maheu Mechanical for all HVAC related services.
They installed our everything on Christmas eve so we would have heat. They did great work and for a good price!
The people that work for Maheu Mechanical are a fantastic group! The same day we called them, they were out to look at the furnace and figure out what was happening. At no point did I ever feel like they were making me do anything. We went over the options, and they said, if I wanted, they could come out and do a repair on the furnace (our furnace was old and better off replaced). We did go with the furnace replacement, to which I say, they were fantastic, always polite and didn't mind our dog. You can't ask for a nicer company to come out to your house!
My husband and I recently had Maheu Mechanical replace our air conditioner and furnace. I cannot say enough positive things about Jeff Maheu and his team! They were professional and friendly, and the entire team was very knowledgeable. I apologized for interrupting with a question and their response was, "You are not bothering us at all, please feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like." Also, Jeff was very kind and generous in helping me deal with my home warranty company, he knew exactly how to handle the situation. Did I mention they're tidy? My furnace room was cleaner when they left than before they came! They stayed late to get the job done right, which I appreciated. Jeff heard a strange clicking noise near our fuse box, so he called the electrician back to come out and look at it, even though it had nothing to do with the furnace/AC. Above and beyond. Friendly. Caring. All around wonderful!
My furnace stopped working and Jeff came out within a really short time frame. He diagnosed our issue within no time and had our furnace up and running again after some blowing, cleanup, and resetting and gave us really good advice on ensuring optimal use for the future. Reasonable pricing as well, definitely going to them in the future if I have any HVAC needs, including inspecting my chimney in the Spring to ensure proper ventilation. 10/10 highly recommended!

Mahue Mechanics did an excellent job replacing my furnace in Jan of 2022. Jeff was able to come right out, assess the problems and he spent a lot of time explaining what could be wrong as he uncovered multiple issues we had with our furnace. He scheduled to come back, showed up on time & was very conscientious of caring for my home as they went in & out with loads of tools/equipment & hauling the old furnace out. They cleaned as they went & left nothing behind. Our new furnace looks amazing & I could not be happier with our experience. Their customer service & genuine pride in their work scores very high! 10 out of 10!
I first called Maheu Mechanical to take a look at my chimney cap. They expected all the gas lines and found that my newer high efficiency furnace was installed so poorly that it was not running at high efficiency. Jeff thoroughly explained how all the piping and lines should have been run and I immediately asked him to do the job of making it right. From there I hired them to install a new hot water heater and then to tackle an extremely challenging job of re-routing gas lines to a fireplace that was on a slab and not over the fireplace. This was quite a process but they made sure everything was done perfectly and even stayed long hours to make sure they got things done. They also took on another project with my fireplace that they did not have much experience with but nailed it. Jeff and Chuck do not leave until they know things are right. We joked that they were part of the family now for the time they devoted to making sure each job was done to the highest standards. These guys are amazing. They may not ever want to come back for one of my projects because this house has so many challenges but I have them on speed dial 😆
Called Jeff out due to my furnace not heating up. He came and clicked a couple buttons on the thermostat and then it started working. Super thankful for that and he cleaned a small pipe near the burner that could cause they furnace not to heat up in the future. Bummed about paying the $125 emergency fee for a quick service, but understandable due to it being 3AM and not having heat. Thank you!
Jeff is extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and explained his process along the way. He had our AC back up and running in a couple of hours and followed up afterwards to make sure our expectations were met. Great service from a trustworthy company!
I thoroughly recommend this company.Jeff came out within a couple hours of the time I called for a appointment. My AC quit working on one of the hottest days this year. The company I used in the past called to postpone my appointment after waiting a week for them to come out .to fix it . I saw this company recommended on the Livonia Facebook site. . I will definitely keep using Mabrur Mechanical for any future repairs. Jeff was very informative and caring . My AC is old and I know it will need replacing in the future . I’ve been out of work for 15 months and couldn’t afford to replace it at this time. Jeff got it working and then took the time to call me twice after coming out to make sure it was cooling the house down. Jeff is the best
I was very pleased with the service I received. Jeff was informative and clear about the repairs my AC system needed. He explained what he was doing and why, and did not try and sell me additional repairs. He seemed trustworthy, was on time, and his office staff were very helpful as well. Will call on Maheu Mechanical for future HVAC issues.
A couple months ago, Meheu Mechanical came out to look at my pitifully old water heater. He was able to give me a couple more months of service, but it died today. They were at my house in about half an hour, and were able to get my new water heater in today. Everything was carefully explained to me, and the price was fair. I strongly recommend this company!
I just had our home AC serviced, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Jeff was friendly, helpful and did an amazing job. The price was excellent and the work was incredibly thorough. I have used other HVAC companies in the past but I can confidently say that Maheu Mechanical is the only one I will be working with from now on.
