EMG Mechanical Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration installed a ductless mini-split air conditioner in one room of our house, and performed an maintenance on our whole-house SpacePak air conditioner and boiler. I recommend them unconditionally and without hesitation. The whole crew was outstanding - professional, respectful, polite and punctual. Communication (by phone, email and text) with Eric and Lynn was consistent and timely. Eric answered my hundreds of questions thoroughly and patiently. The quality of their work was outstanding. And they cleaned up after themselves! The whole crew seemed to truly care about and take pride in their work. Best of all, EMG Mechanical is a LIVONIA-BASED FAMILY-OWNED business. Hire them. You won’t be disappointed.

For many years, I was serviced by another heating and cooling company in Livonia, and nothing ever really worked right. I got a referral to EMG Mechanical and all I can say is they're perfect! They service my business AND they service my home in Livonia and they know exactly what they are doing. I will never go any place else.

I could not recommend a more professional and quality work than EMG mechanical. The owner Eric was always here and answer any questions that we had. We use them to install an entire new HVAC system, furnace, and AC unit in a 1800 square-foot ranch that had no existing heating or cooling. The system they chose with having dual zones and all wireless is absolutely amazing. Not only were they the best price around, their work is absolutely superior to anyone else we got quotes from.
EMG installed our new water heater and was so incredibly helpful when our furnace stopped working! Same Day Service!!!!! Installers were polite, tidy, and respectful. They wore masks in our home the entire time. Very pleased!!!!

I hired EMG Mechanical to install a new AC system in my home. The owner Erik came out and was awesome to work with. Professional but a straight shooter who clearly knows the industry. No pressure or up-sale tactics that you often get from the larger AC companies; Erik just tells you what system is best for your home and provides you with a reasonable installation price. His crew is very professional as well; they were enjoyable to work with and they took pride in the quality of their work. For example, when removing one of the AC units from the packaging they noticed a dent in the outer body of the unit. They immediately notified me of the small dent and told me that they were already having the distributer ship a replacement directly to my home that same day. It was the right thing to do, but a company with less integrity could have easily installed the dented unit without me knowing. Finally, they showed up when they said they would. No scheduling changes, last-minute cancellations, or huge appointment windows. All in all, this is a very solid company, with trustworthy owners and employees that take care of customers.
Fast friendly service! Erik even tollerated my nosey dog with some friendly pets. Erik could have tried talking me into furnace repairs that were not absolutely necessary, but he took the time to show me the issue, fixed it, and cleaned up a few other areas that needed a little TLC. I would diefinitely recommend EMG Mechanical to my friends & neighbors.
I have used EMG Mechanical in the past for different projects, but none so important as today when I came home to find my house at 56° and dropping. Erik was able to fit me in, diagnose the problem, and have my furnace back up and running in only a few hours. He even saved me a ton of cash by discovering the problem part was under warranty! I have recommended EMG Mechanical to many of my friends and clients and will continue to do so because of the quality work and fantastic customer service that they provide.
First of all I’ve heard numerous good references regarding EMG being professional. I also have heard the owner speak several times and he is always very knowledgeable in his field. Erik came out and did a quick, quality assessment of what I needed and responded within a week to do the job. His crew of 2 (Eric and Shane) came in and did a great job installing a gas line to a heater for me. The price was already great and then Erik actually refunded me some money AFTER doing the job because less line was used in the install. Honesty is also a policy of EMG 😊
A big shout out to Eric. Instead of just fixing the problem or installing new gas logs he stated his concerns about issues that would be cause without a larger air flow pipe. Way to look out for your customers and only do what manufacturers suggest. Someone had supposedly fixed this before but never even mentioned the issues I could have. I appreciate the honesty. He also saw something unrelated that needs to be addressed and pointed it out. Friendly, fast, affordable and honest. Not something you find now days. Thanks I will direct every one your way
Great experience - Erik and his team, from the installers to the office, are unfailingly professional and extremely responsive. We knew our AC job would be a tricky one, but they stuck with it and were true to their word on every detail. I'm always a bit skeptical when hiring anyone, but Erik and EMG Mechanical definitely earned my trust and I strongly recommend them.

True professionals when it comes to foreign cars
I've owned my house for over 21 and never had to call a repairman out. I've been able to fix everything myself. Last night when it was in the single digits outside, my furnace stopped working around midnight, if not before. I tried to see what I could do to fix it myself, but nothing worked. Last time it stopped working it was a $30 thermostat fix and I did it myself. This time I couldn't figure out what it was. I realized that time is money and I'd spent way too much time trying to solve a puzzle I wasn't qualified to solve. A friend told me about Erik at EMG Mechanical and I gave him a call. I could tell from the moment he answered the phone that I was dealing with someone that was not only friendly, but also wasn't going to mess me over on price and making me buy things I didn't need. I had other friends give me names and numbers of other people, but I felt Erik was the one I needed to hire and didn't call anyone else. He came out, checked things over, made a lot of calls trying to find someplace that had the part I needed in stock (he didn't want to have to order it and make us freeze another 24 hours), found it, went and got it, put it in. He just left and I now have heat!!! My family is thrilled they don't have to sleep in their coats, pants, socks and under every blanket in the house again tonight. It's going to take a while for our house to get up to 70 degrees from the 55 degree mark it was at when Erik left, but the sound of that motor running and the hot air coming out of the vents is music to my ears. Erik came out within 24 hours of my phone call. He explained everything very well. He was courteous and professional. He got my AC up and running. I would recommend this company.
