Extremely helpful and wonderful customer service!!
Clay Brewer is a consummate professional. He does excellent work, charges fair prices and is punctual as all get-out. You can't find a better HVAC technician in Lansing or the surrounding area.
Prices are fair, he is on time and honest. I purchased a vending machine that needed to be recharged I called and he was in the area and took care of it the same day. He called prior to arriving and was there when he said he would be. I would call him again for any refrigeration service.
Clay Brewer isn't some sort of corporation; he's just a guy who loves furnaces and air conditioners and such. He has one or two other employees, but Clay is the soul of the business, so this review is mainly about him. Clay is the guy I've called whenever I have a problem, with either my business or home heating or A/C. I guess the first time I called him was in 1988, so it's been 26 years so far. Never any kind of problem with his work. Clay is just a sensible, honest, competent, hard-working person. If you're one of those people who gets into squabbles with contractors, I suppose you could pick a fight with him, but it'd be hard, since he doesn't take offense. I always just let him fix whatever he thinks needs fixing, including things that aren't broken *yet*, but which look like future trouble to him. Whenever he or his helper make a service call, I always ask them to spend an extra fifteen minutes checking hoses, bearings, connections, et cetera. I'm happy to pay for the extra time, since it's a lot better to deal with the problem before something actually fails and causes the unit to seize up, overflow, blow the breaker, or whatever. Clay's prices are reasonable. He shows up on time. He's polite. He knows what he's doing. There are probably other HVAC contractors who are equally good, but I KNOW there are some who aren't. If there's a downside to working with Clay, I haven't found it yet.
