Jeff did a wonderful job explaining everything and servicing our AC unit. Highly recommend VanderHyde.
They came out the day I called and fixed the problem quickly. They were helpful in answering all of my questions.
Update: I did follow-up with VanderHyde 9 days ago and have not had any resolution to date. Another reason to shop elsewhere. I did have additional service completed on my Generac by another company and it has since successfully completed two exercise cycles. Original Post: Service was inept and they failed to back the manufacturer's warranty or back there own faulty repair! My two year old Generac with less than 100 hours of service failed in mid Apr. After 4 service visits, VanderHyde basically gave up. Each time service personnel were not properly equipped leading to false diagnosis and replacements of the wrong parts. They have lied to me and are apparently more interested in service fees than making a timely or competent diagnosis and repair. But it was also apparent that they could have better diagnose the actual issue if they had been equipped with some basic tools - (volt meter, fuel pressure gage, torque wrench, etc). Each time I was given a confident diagnosis or that it was "fixed". When I questioned a second service fee after a subsequent and immediate failure (what should have been a continued warranty covered repair) they claimed the fee was legitimate, that they could not repair it, and that I had to go to Generac. What they did not know is that I had already spoken with Generac and they stated that it is under warranty and that I had to work through my current dealer or find another authorized Generac service agent. So VanderHyde intentionally misrepresented the situation (lied to me). Go somewhere else!!!
I needed a new A/C unit and we are about to head into a hot week. The unit came in within a few days and they installed the next day. Austin and Trevor were prompt, knowledgeable and respectful of me and the property.
Best service ever. Had never used before but after the great service both by the techs and the office staff I will use again.
People were polite. Technician was on time. Our problem was what seemed like exorbitant cost. This was a simple hookup of water to a new refrigerator which included untapping a tapped water line and hooking up to the refrigerator. The total labor was less than an hour, not including a trip the tech had to make to get parts. Bill: $856.00. We will look elsewhere next time.
Walked me through the assessment of the issue, knowledgeable! Great service. Will be working with them again for any other issues.
Originally sent a request with the online contact form. I was interested in a quote for an outdoor electrical outlet to be installed in my home. Technicians arrived and were professional and courteous, but I ultimately received a quote for $500-1900 to install a single outlet. Didn't seem reasonable for the level of involvement, so I declined to make a decision today. Only at this point with technicians in my house am I informed that there is a $99 fee for the quote to be given. Nowhere in the email chain leading up to scheduling was this mentioned. The office was conveniently nonresponsive when attempting to call, and the poor technicians caught in the middle couldn't leave without collecting payment. Buyer beware; and I'll be contacting my bank as I seem to be unable to reach office staff.
Great service provided from VanderHyde! They were right on time as scheduled, very friendly and knowledgeable, and didn’t try to over charge me or tell me I needed work done I really didn’t need. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Quick response and excellent communication. Professional work done in a very reasonable time.
Steve, Dan, and Kayden (sp?) were on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and did a very satisfactory replacement of our 25 year old A/C unit.
A technician named Jon Groeneveld came to my new home to install a proper ground wire to the electrical panel. Jon was friendly, professional, and didn't mind taking the time to explain everything he was doing. I would HIGHLY recommend Vanderhyde services!!!
As usual, VanderHyde provided me with a quality professional to quickly address our AC needs! Thank you Matt Dunham! May 23, 2023 We knew exactly who to call for our sudden plumbing need and VanderHyde once again came through with flying colors! Kilton Dunham was prompt, clear, helpful and got the repair done. Thank you Kolton!
Had you folks out last week on Wednesday the 10th I believe, called to get someone to repair two outlets and a ceiling fan that weren't working. Nikki who received my call was quite nice, and even able to get me a same day appointment when a couple electricians ended a job early. Unfortunately that was the extent of my positive experiences. The electricians arrived I believe 30-45 min later than I was told. As the work went on, I had a few questions from time to time, but he always seemed confused and never had any answers for me. I asked if he knew what was wrong, he said I don't know. I asked if he could estimate how much more time he'd need, he said I don't know. I asked if he had any ideas of what the problem *could* be, he said I don't know. I asked if he could refer another company or electrician who might know more, he said I don't know. I asked if it's safe, he said I don't know. About five minutes after informing me I'd need to buy another block of their time, he tells me they need to cut into my drywall to keep going in a room full of sensitive plants and aquariums that I haven't prepped for this. I ask him if he has any idea what could be going on before he does this; I literally get a shrug. I tell them I can't proceed at this time and thanks anyways, so they cap off the wires on my ceiling fan and shut off the circuit, leave disposable booties and dust and my heavy now unplugged appliances on the floor, and leave. As a kicker to all of this, the $99 "dispatch fee" I was lead to believe on the phone was a deposit and would be refunded/not charged if I paid them for work, was still charged to me. I was informed by the electrician that apparently it's only removed if I purchase the right sort of package or job or something. THAT policy *really* needs to change; I understand holding money in case a client doesn't answer the door or the jobsite isn't safe for your crew, but this is ridiculous. I paid out $325 in the end for your people to tell me nothing and
Kolton was very efficient and professional! Great service and he fixed the issues I had with ease.
I originally had an appointment for a leaking pipe on 5/12/23 but they called on 5/11/23 and told me one of their plumbers was ahead of schedule and could assist me today! Kolton was super fast, proficient, and so helpful. He was very easy to work with and fielded all my questions. I recommend this company to anyone with plumbing needs! They know their stuff!
Contacted them for plumbing - have used them before. Technician went to the wrong door - charged me 100.00 for and completed no work. Rachel (office manager) said that she “KNOWS” (without even talking to technician but because they’ve been in business for 35 years) that he went to the right door - considering that there are 4 doors and she did not herself observe him going to any door. Poor customer service - money trap considering they can say they’re on scene but really aren’t - use caution.
I was relieved and appreciative that they came out promptly on a friday when I was without electric, my electrical mast had been pulled from the house and there had been a fire.. The technician did a good and thorough job and everything is working again.
I called yesterday to get a bid for a sewer line replacement, and was assured they did that kind of work. When they came out today I Was charged $100 for them to come out and inspect the problem. After they got here they said they weren't capable of doing that type of work, yet still demanded there call out fee. They didn't even try to do a diagnosis on the problem. I feel like I was scammed. If you can't provide a service don't say you can just to get a call out fee. I will never use them again.
You know something is off when there are different "tiers" of the work they will perform. Anf the cheapest is described as "bandaid". What ethical company would ever describe their work that way? And not stand behind it? 2 techs were at my house for 7 hours and told me they had never seen a house wired the way ours was. It was built in 1971.
