Custom temperature control is one of the most professional, efficient, budget-conscious, friendly, and easy contracting group we have ever worked with! Tony's team of professional installers of HVAC and electrician, Buchanan electrical, also out of Clawson, we're very clean and organized and friendly the entire time they were here. They provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond and our central air is amazing! The price was very very fair, the work was very very excellent and I would recommend them very highly to anyone with air conditioning and or furnace related needs!
My AC failed for my 2nd floor condo on June 7, 2019. Because I was a repeat customer of CTC, they sent a technician out the same day, which I appreciated. The service man refilled the freon for $320 but the AC failed again within a couple of days. CTC said I had a leak in my system and since my AC unit was 20 years old and it would be difficult to find the leak, it would be best to replace the whole system and run new lines through the attic and outside the condo unit. The cost would be >$8000 and I would have to get the approval of the Condo Association. The condo board turned down the proposal since they do not allow lines to be run on the outside of the building. I called a second HVAC company (Lakeview) recommended by the management company who came and put a sealant in the system for $340. I contacted the owner of CTC to let him know of my disappointment that they didn't try a sealant first. He told me to let him know if my AC is still working in two weeks. Three weeks later, I let him know that the AC is still working perfectly and I asked if he would consider a partial refund on my bill (the service call portion, not the freon they put in). His answer was " Sorry the leak seal is not a permanent solution as I stated earlier. And would have been suggested if we believe it would have taking care of your long term needs". Needless to say, CTC has lost a customer. My AC unit is still working perfectly and it has been 31 days since the sealant was put in.
I actually didn't go with Custom Temperature Control (CTC) for my furnace issue. All I needed was a part, which I went elsewhere for, only because I was able to get it faster, though not by much. However, I wanted to point out the helpfulness and professionalism offered over the phone by CTC, when I was seeking where I could get such a part. They even advised to check another (cheaper) component first, while I was diagnosing my furnace. The point is they were advising to check the cheaper/simpler fix first, before immediately suggesting the costlier part. I'll certainly have CTC in mind the next time I have an HVAC inquiry.
The folks at custom temperature control came out to provide an estimate for a basement heating solution. After two trips and a lot of thoughtful feedback, they were honest enough to inform me that I ought to go in a different direction. The kind of service and honesty are pretty rare these days. Give these guys a call!!!
I've been a satisfied customer since Custom Temp. installed our system in 2011. Great installation and great follow-up service - I'm glad I found these folks and am equally happy to use them on an ongoing basis for the routine stuff too. Everybody , and I mean everybody, I've spoken to or who has performed work has just been the best. From office folks (Jackie and Meredith) to the owner (Tony) to Mo (the best Hvac tech I've ever worked with) everybody is stellar. Prices are reasonable, they show up as promised, when rare problems come up they respond quickly and fix it right, and the work is always as promised. Everything gets explained thoroughly and clearly up front too. Plus the system they put in greatly improved the comfort of our house. I definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors, and definitely plan to continue as a customer here.
After receiving 5 different quotes from different HVAC contractors, I went with Custom Temp Control. The owner Tony was great to work with up front and Moe was one of the best installers I have dealt with. I liked them so much I had them come back and rework duct work when we had our kitchen remodeled. Highly recommended!
One of the best experiences that I have had with a hvac contractor. Very professional and great service contractors. Never had to call twice to verify an appt. Contractors are very knowledgeable in there work and will do anything for the customer. I highly recommend Custom Temperature control. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
