I posted a private review / complaint, first directly to Crome. That was almost a month ago and I never heard a peep out of them. Now I am posting publicly to see what they have to say. I have used Crome several times in the past for my service need without an issue. This time I contacted them for my central air unit not working correctly. They quickly set up an appointment to meet my schedule and showed up on time. They checked over the system, found the problem and replaced the bad switch. The issue that I am having besides them not responding back to my private complaint is the fact that the part they replaced, you can purchase just about anyplace for $20 or less and Crome decided to charge me, an over 1000% markup price of $238.00 for the part. I have worked in the construction trades for 45 years and understand markups. This is typically 50 - 100%. Over a 1000% is ridiculous along with the fact that they never responded to me to justify the charge. If this is what they consider customer service, I would recommend finding someone else. 7/7/21 This is an update on my first review. Talked with Carole this morning at Crome Mechanical. Evidently the link for my private review did not work or go through so they had no idea that I was not happy with there service pricing. She explained Crome's pricing polices and that they do not break down parts, labor and general business expenses. I have used Crome several times in the past, but this time I just felt like I was taken advantage of because it was hot and my ac was not working. Carole remedied the situation politely and professionally and I stated that they should possibly give a better description of charges for service, parts and labor to the customer in the future to avoid complaints of over or double pricing. Crome Mechanical is local and do good work. I would recommend Crome for any of your mechanical needs.

I used Chrome to attach my gas meter to a whole house generator. They gave me a good quote, handled all the paperwork for the permit, and did a professional job. Very satisfied. Brian was very friendly and prompt.

After our first experience with Crome Mechanical, installing a ductless mini-split ac, we had a 2nd unit installed, and then a tankless water-heater. They deserve 6-stars!

I was very impressed with the efficiency of the crew that installed a new furnace and a/c. It was readily apparent (through watching them work) that this crew had excellent technical skills. Each person seemed to have a specific skill-set that he used to completely support the work of each of the other crew members. I never saw them take a break or just goof off for a little while--although it was obvious that each person enjoyed working! with the rest of the crew. This, it seems to me, is what professionalism looks like in action! I am delighted with their work at my home!
These Guys plumbed in the gas line for a generator for me and did a great job. They were clean fast and knowledgeable.
Never used before. They were out in 3 hours. It was 84 in the house. My dogs thank you.
Crome technicians replaced baseboard heating units throughout our main floor. Work was professionally accomplished, and looks great.
Update 10/05/22 Crome installed a new high efficiency boiler combo domestic water tank. They showed up when they said they were scheduled. Did a very clean professional installation replacing our old boiler and water heater from approx 1979. Brian and his crew were very friendly, took time to answer our questions. The best part was they actually cleaned up the construction area. We would def recommend them to anybody looking for a new system or service repair on your plumbing/HVAC systems. I’ve worked over 30 yrs in commercial construction / site development project management and this company is very professional, knows their trade and performs what you contracted. Showed up on time and had our garage furnace running in 30 minutes. Explained what the problem was and gave some suggestions for the house system. Will def give them a call for future work.
We've had a balky furnace for a number of years, and Chrome has been very responsive in fixing it. When it was no longer able to be fixed, they replaced the furnace and our air conditioning which was also old. Chrome did a fabulous job. We were not able to be at the house while they were doing the installation, and they kept us informed every step of the way. They were professional responsive and we had absolutely no qualms about allowing them into our home without us present. We appreciated their terrific service and we will definitely use them every year for tune-ups.
We have had Crome Mechanical install both our furnace and ac. So very happy with them. They send reminders twice a year for our maintenance on them. Easy to schedule and always on time and very nice. Would highly recommend!!
