Chelsea at the print counter was amazingly helpful! Best staples around!
Extremely disappointed with the Print department. DO NOT use them for same day printing. I placed an order Thursday, for an event I had Saturday. I was supposed to be able to pick up the order by 8:30pm Thursday. I came in Friday morning to pick it up, they informed me they had lots of orders placed Thursday, but that they only 1 order ahead of me & to come back sometime 12:00-2:00. I came back at 3:00pm and was told to come back 45 minutes later. I waited in my car, and received a phone call telling me they had an issue punching out what I needed and they need me to come back at 7:00pm. At 7:15pm, I call ahead and was told to come back 10:00am Saturday (the day and time of my event) because they ran out of paper and have nothing completed. The associate on the phone at 7:00pm was extremely rude. The excuses and times I was told by different employees throughout the day is ridiculous. If you need printing, I recommend using any other Staples or Office Max/Office Depot.
Office Depot’s on Washtenaw in Ann Arbor has the worst customer service! I’d rather drive a few extra miles to Staples on Jackson Rd. and get excellent customer service like I did today! Staples you’ve got a faithful customer. Thank you so much for such great service!♥️
11-Feb-23 Husband returned to get a high definition scan. They could only offer it emails because they clearly do not know how to download to a USB drive OR download to a DVD like all other office places. They charged us $2 and couldn't even do that right. They sent me a pdf...... I called, Joanne answered, and now I have been sitting on the phone on hold. Just got off with manager and WOW! Does not know the difference between a pdf and PFG file!! He actually told me that he told my husband about doing the scan and because my husband said okay, that he interpreted that as my husband accepted the work they did. When in reality, how would my husband know that they sent to MY email a pdf........ not a high print definition scan?? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. 10-Feb-23 Tried to get a scan of 9x12 drawing. The 3 employees did not know how to use scanning machine, while all self scan machines are down. Train your employees to do basic functions. Your store should be embarrassed.
I recently had 2000 business cards printed at the Ann Arbor Staples. There was a VERY SLIGHT problem with the way it aligned, but they reprinted it for pick up the next day and it turned out perfectly. Excellent and quick service. Thank you

Sad to say, the service isn't what it used to be. Empty store and employees too busy texting on their phones to assist.
Can’t use their own binding machines correctly.
The store is clean, well stocked, the selection of paper products is excellent, and the combination self-serve and copy center services are very convenient. The self-serve copy machines provide high quality copies, albeit being a bit costly. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was slightly disappointed that the staff in the copy center didn't know how to help me figure out the correct page size for an engineering document. I ended up printing it out a couple of times until finding out that the preview function would have saved me the wasted prints.
If you make an online ‘same day’ purchase order, after 2 pm it’s not available until up to 8:30 pm the following day- a 30 minute window before the business closes. In my experience, if a ‘same day’ (after 2 pm) order is delayed 24 hours + after the order is placed, you won’t get any notification of the delay. My recent print services order turned out horribly. I received a follow up call on my order advising there was an issue with my image that wasn’t detectable when creating the order or on Staple’s end but was resulting in a distorted product. I’m promptly complied- supplying 2 alternate images. I never heard anything back and assumed the issue was able to be resolved. I called to follow up on my order’s at EOB on the order’s guaranteed date and learned it would not be available for pick up until the following day. I also learned that there was an issue with one of the printers, resulting in a delay for my order and others. Customer service was okay. I sincerely appreciated the initial call informing me of the issue but I’m left wondering if I ended up with the initial botched order- I can tell from the images that the ‘back up’ I supplied was not used. While I recognize that quality can be subjective, a print shop should have foresight as to what is and isn’t worth a customer’s money. I wished I would’ve be contacted, informed there was an issue with my print that would impede it’s quality and been done with it. I would’ve been frustrated that my order couldn’t be completed but thankful that I didn’t waste time and money. In reality, I waited over a 24 hour period for a same day, time sensitive, order that was meant for the garbage. Now I’m taking my order and business to another local shop in town. I won’t be back for business again.
I like shopping at the Ann Arbor, Westgate, Staples store. The staff are friendly and helpful. More so than on my previous visit. A sales associate David R helped me, he was very knowledgeable about the products. I purchased an hp computer. Both David and the Lady at the help desk were both pleasant and helpful. This store is easier for me to come too
So I went in early Labor Day looking for a printer for my boutique. After waiting for assistance, the two people helped we were not knowledgeable about anything I needed, both the associate and tech were over talking and cutting me off not listening to what I needed, which led me to buy a printer I couldn’t even use. After working with the printer at my store for over 2hr, reaching out to hp virtual assistant I became angry and frustrated, I called the store. I was helped by David J. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of reassurance over the phone which led everything to being ok. I went back to the store, he asked what I need the printer for and what will I be printing, I told him barcodes , he led me to 3 different printers that would assist me. He also educated me on the Avery labels and the different between ink and laser. I needed up buying the most expensive printer only because I’m able to get 5000 pages worth of ink vs 200-600 with the other printer. He taught me how to change my ink cartridge and how to handle the toner pump. If anyone in there needs a paid vacation or a raise it would definitely be him. I didn’t feel rushed or shooed with him. He even repeated himself and reworded statements and gave analogies to help me understand things better! He also recommended the 4 year warranty which At that point he had my trust so it was sold!! David J saved this customer!!!!!

Staff is helpful and kind! Place is clean, they have a lot to choose from, and whatever they don't have you can do an online order for it and I'll have it there very shortly!
Torri at the register was amazing and made feel like i was the only customer there. She deserves a pay increase or award or something

Went in to print off a resume' for my interview. The first self print machine screen wouldn't work. We were told our infromation was removed and to start over on the second one. We did but then the machine refused to access our Google drive files. By this point we had wasted our spare time before the interview and had to leave. Was told we wouldn't be charged from the second machine either and we were. I only didn't give a 1 star review because the customer service was really nice and I felt she was actully sorry the machines kept acting up.
Its an office supply story, little pricy but what do you expect from a store with no real competition in the immediate area.
