Arthur of Fire & Ice did an excellent job servicing my boiler, which hadn't been cleaned in years. Service was professional, prompt and very thorough. I highly recommend!

I have used Fire and ice on numerous occasions to service HVAC and gas boiler heating systems in rental properties that I own in the greater Boston area. Fire and Ice are very thorough, skilled, and competent at what they do. Fire and Ice has become an important part of my maintenance and repair team. You are in good hands with Fire and Ice with anything from routine maintenance to complex repairs and installations of heating and cooling systems.

This company is a complete scam. DO NOT HIRE THEM. I hired them to do maintenance on our boiler and they said our boiler was leaking combustion gases, and they recommended that I contact a specific chimney company (BOSTON BEST CHIMNEY). I did that immediately because they said the situation is dangerous and they shutoff our hot water. I contacted the chimney company they recommended and the chimney technician came by and said there is nothing wrong with our chimney. He recommended installing a liner 'down-the-line' to address loss of mortar in the chimney a long term issue that was not related to the combustion gases. But when I asked FIREandICE to come back and turn our hot water back on, they vehemently contradicted the chimney technician, and then the chimney company's boss said they recommend installing the liner immediately (I got a feeling they talked among themselves). The chimney company said the liner would have cost us 4000$. This all smelled very fishy as they also said the liner may not fix the issue, and then kept sending us reminders to do the work and calling me non-stop. Because I got very worried about them scamming us, I hired an independent company to re-check our boiler who looked at it carefully and said there was NOTHING wrong with our boiler. So they completely took us for a ride. Please save yourself time and heartache and DO NOT HIRE THEM. They almost scammed us out of >4000$. I am filing a formal complaint with our city to warn others.
We reached out to Fire & Ice HVAC, LLC for installation of a mini split air conditioning system after reading their terrific reviews. From the start, Arthur and Jon were just as responsive, efficient and friendly as the reviews had said. We signed on with them after our first meeting to install one outdoor unit and 4 indoor units.They were knowledgeable, easy to work with and transparent when discussing timelines and pricing. We were impressed by their work. The bulk of the installation was completed in one day, and after the required electrical work, they quickly returned to complete the job. We'd certainly reach out to them again if we were in need of HVAC services and have already recommended them to others. Great experience overall!

Artie and Jon were very professional and did a super job wrapping pipe that needed wrapping. They were also willing to work in tight spaces to both clean the filters, get to the pipes, and get to the roof. They were on time for the appointment and did not waste time getting the job done.
Profession, and hardworking, Definitely would use them again.

We hired Fire & Ice to fix a non-functioning furnace. Jonathan arrived same day and was able to quickly fix the problem. He explained everything clearly, was extremely professional, and fixed a number of other related problems. He also came back next day to deal with an AC problem we have. His prices were clear and fair. We will definitely use them again.
Arthur was great. Responded quickly to my request, gave regular updates for eta close to the service, and was friendly and professional during it. Will definitely use again!
Jon and his partner were super responsive and professional. They replaced our AC in a timely manner w/a reasonable price. They were honest. I highly recommend and will use them again for our AC and heating needs.
Fire and Ice has been to our home twice. Both times he replaced the failing parts, kept the labor hrs. very low and got our central air cranking again. Rather than sell us a new system before we need one Arthur addressed and repaired the issues at hand. He also was very responsive -- we were fortunate that he was able to come same-day (recognizing that's not always possible) in the middle of the hottest part of the summer. Fire + Ice is also a pleasant company to deal with. I give them a strong A-grade, thumbs up.

Excellent response time and exceptional service. Diagnosed and repaired my leaking coil for about 60% of other HVAC service companies. Family owned and operated. Knowledgeable, efficient, hard working and best of all very reasonable pricing. Further, he followed up with me a few weeks later to assure all things were working. Calling Fire & Ice for my HVAC issue turned out to be a great decision for me. George is a great pereon building a quality business!!
I had no heat when I got home on Monday at 2pm. I looked in the Yellow Pages called Arthur at 2:30pm & he told me John could be at my house by 4:30pm to diagnose the problem, he was very courteous and made sure I understood the hourly rate to diagnose the problem. John showed up on time, personable and was able to diagnose the problem and explained every step of the process as gave us options. Unfortunately, my control panel was blown and needed to be replaced. He could order and be back the next day to install. John showed up today to install my control panel and change out my thermostat. We have heat! I cant thank Fire & Ice enough for their fast response, excellent explanation of what happened with the control panel and their time and effort well after 5pm - 2 nights in a row! I would highly recommend Fire & Ice HVAC, LLC. They are prompt, courteous reasonably priced and do great work. They will be back soon to do more work in my home for my AC unit!!
Our A/C went out during the recent heatwave. Fire & Ice responded promptly to our call, coming out the same day. They diagnosed the problem quickly and were able to fix it right then. Arthur was very pleasant and easy to work with and the cost was reasonable. Would highly recommend!
