Estes oil signed me up for service plan. I never signed up for and started charging me for it. Good thing I caught it . No explanation of why this happened. Said they made a mistake Then they made an appointment and left message they were coming the next day for propane service, which I never made . I just asked questions about my bill!
Had great service for years, no problems, loved the plans they offered. I didn't mind paying a little more for the payment plans and service because I felt like they were a good company. The past few years they changed to a platinum plan which included service. I never paid much attention until this year I realized that they charged me for the annual cleaning, when I asked why it wasn't included, they said 5 years ago I said I didn't want it that year and because of that they never added the service plan back in. I was never informed this was the case and under the contract terms and conditions that I agree to every year it states that the service plan is included. They said they could add the plan to my account, but would have to charge me the full price of the plan. They acknowledged that the contract needs to be worded better and more clearly define the parameters. With this acknowledgment they still would not uphold the contract of including the service plan at the initially agreed upon contract price. There was no offer of any compromise, nor were they willing to even try and be nice and understanding about it. Had there been any willingness to work on the problem, offer any discount or compromise, or own their fault they would not have lost a customer. 7 years later we parted ways over a $459 service plan.
Scott and Kyle installed a new boiler at my house yesterday and did an outstanding job, adapting it to my existing plumbing in very tight quarters. They were efficient and friendly, and it was very evident that they enjoy their work. Thank you. Well done!
I would not recommend using this company. They set me up with recurring delivery and automatically charged my card without my authorization. I had not signed up for this service or agreed to anything electronically or in person. A little research showed me I'm not the first person they have done this to. If you do go with them, be very clear in your communication and request documentation for everything. Deliveries are reliable, though not the cheapest in their service area. Call service I received was condescending and a little rude, but the website worked well last I used it.
Very pricey company so after 2 years of dishing out my money to them I find cheaper propane and estes charges me $149 just to pick up there own propane tank as a labor charge. What a ripoff
Estes did a good job reminding me of the availability to pre-purchase my propane, and as usual, were prompt and professional in answering my questions and cashing our check. However, I have not yet received my contract to sign & have verified. Estes has always been excellent in scheduling the deiiveries, so I am anticipating a cozy winter.
I switched oil companies after having been with Dead River Company for 28 years. We installed a propane generator here at the house to keep ourselves supplied with electricity if needed in the winter. My old company was unable to accommodate me in a reasonable amount of time. I called Estes Oil and we discussed our fuel needs as well as payment options. So now they supply me with propane and heating oil as well as servicing my furnace. This is a tough business to be in when fuel prices are high but I feel they are very reasonable and are easily accessible for any questions.
I fell into Estes as a former customer of a small local oil supplier in York that sold/retired, who recommended Estes to me. It’s been 5+ years, and I’ve been happy ever since. Whether it’s been during a bitter cold snap for emergency burner service or top off; annual burner clean; or walking me through fuel pre-buy options- I’ve had nothing but friendly, knowledgeable service from Estes! Feels good to me they’re local, Maine owned.
Great very dependable, except they delivered in June when oil was over 6 dollars
Estes oil installled our furnace in a 250 year old house 5 years ago , technicians were very efficient and furnace has no flaws. Most recently Dan came out to clean the furnace , we found him to be pleasnt and a skilled technician. Great company!
I give Estes Oil and Propane 5 stars! They are prompt, courteous, and professional every time I deal with them. They provide accurate and on time delivery times when appointments are made for either oil and propane deliveries or service calls. When they say they will be there, they will be there! Southern York counties best.
After just moving here and having never had fuel oil before, we were low on oil 2 days before Christmas. They came and filled us up the next day even though we didn't have a contract with them yet. We do now obviously, but they really saved the day for us!
I have had Estes maintain my oil burner and deliver oil for 22 years. Great to deal with!
Ever since we have moved to York we have used Estes Oil for our heating oil and propane needs. They have also been our service providers for our gas fireplace and for our Mitsubishi splits. They have always been helpful, personable and attentive to our needs. We wholeheartedly recommend them for your residential needs.
We have used Estes for years, servicing both our air conditioning equipment and our propane boiler. Service has been excellent. Employees are well trained and show up when scheduled.

I have recommended Estes to many people. They are very prompt and professional. Also, the office staff is a pleasure to work with. I relocated to the area a little over a year ago and decided to contact them due to the fact that they serviced the previous owners of my home. No regrets. I will continue to spread the word to others.

Estes Oil is simply "the best". They're extremely dependable --(especially in the middle of the night when something goes wrong with the furnace and it"s freezing out) they're always right there for yo! We've had Estes Oil for 30 years at our home and quite a bit longer at our business on Rt 1. Mike and Terry and staff are always so pleasant. I just can't imagine having anyone else for our heating needs!!
