I love everything about this company. Excellent customer service. They are prompt, honest, and have always exceeded my expectations. There is a reason they have been in business for so long. Also, Jeremy is a rockstar. Thank you so much for fixing my AC and maintaining it. You will not be disappointed by utilizing ControlTech.
John is the best! Highly recommended for all your HVAC care needs!
I’ve used ControlTech for over 25 years. I feel like they have never steered me wrong with honest and fair service and pricing. I definitely have peace of mind using them!
They installed ductwork for a new range hood in our kitchen as well as some rerouting in our basement. Other AC companies all said that they didn’t do range hood ductwork and we finally found this company on Reddit! They were super nice, professional, prompt to come out and give a quote, got us on the schedule quickly, and we’re very pleased with the work.
Nathan did a great job explaining the servicing, and likely life, of my furnace. He gave me things to think about when I replace it. He's serviced my furnace before and I was pleased then, as well. Jim came out (at Nathan's recommendation) to quote new HVAC. He was super informative and listened to what is important to me. I have some follow up questions on the quotes and will reach out to him directly. You have a great team! The people I speak to when making appointments/buying service plans are also top notch.
I will start by saying, I am an engineer, and attention to detail is part of my work. This review is related to my 3rd time replacing HVAC in 3 different homes (in other areas- this was my first job with Control Tech). I know what to ask for, and I know what a good job looks like. I am also very handy in several trades- DIY is my main hobby. After interviewing pretty much every HVAC contractor in the area, I chose Control Tech. They are low pressure, with a competitive price, good work, honesty, and great responsiveness. I went direct to Control Tech, not through Costco. First, Matt (who was my sales tech) is really cool, and low pressure. He knows his stuff, is really responsive, and didn't play any games, unlike some of the other vendors. If you start interviewing around, you'll see what I mean. Second, I have a complex job, where a condensing unit was (previously) installed in the attic. It's worth mentioning that I had a few contractors (not Control Tech) that declined my job due to the complexity. One of them walked in, and walked right out (unbelievable, but true). The previous installation was not correct, however, I knew fixing it (building a room in the attic) so I can "safely" put a new high efficiency unit in it's place was not going to be simple. While construction is not something Control Tech does, Matt spent hours (probably 6 hours in total) advising me on how to do it. They then brought Josh (the manager) in to review the plan, and give more advice. About 2/3 of that time was before I put down any money. Third, after I got the attic room built, Control Tech installed a new system there, and in my basement. The attic job was not easy- it's up a ladder and not a comfortable space. Curtis, the senior tech, was REALLY detail oriented, clean, and friendly. Curtis also took the time to teach me a few new things about HVAC (again, I am an engineer, so I am interested). Curtis exceeded expectations- The attic install is artwork. Fourth, I did have some n
We bought property with a 16-year-old working furnace and air conditioner. However, we wanted the reassurance that in the dead of winter or summer, our heat or air-conditioning wouldn't go out or need expensive repairs. I called, and a sales rep (Jeremy) came out right away and gave us a very reasonable quote. The units we chose were Energy Star rated, high efficiency, low decibel rating, and qualified us for a Duke Energy Rebate. When our HOA would not approve our air conditioning unit due to it being a bit too tall, Clay and Jeremy went ABOVE AND BEYOND with patience and great customer service, even writing a letter on our behalf stating that the air conditioning unit we chose complied with the 2023 federal standards that were changing January 1st. We really appreciated their understanding and perseverance through the ordeal, and were grateful in them getting our HOA to reverse their decision and allow us to install. As far as the install went-shout out to Benny for getting us quickly on the schedule, and also to the team who did the installation. They were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and worked efficiently and were very neat with hauling away all debris and materials from removing the old to installing the new. They also were very careful with the landscaping when installing the AC unit outside, and we loved that they automatically replaced the cement pad and installed a surge protector at no extra charge. The units have been installed now for 5 months, and are working perfectly. We will be using this company for ALL maintenance, and HIGHLY recommending them to anyone we know! (Note: I found them through Nextdoor app as many of our neighbors used them in our old neighborhood and also LOVED them. Now I see why!!!) Thanks to everyone at Control Tech, and if you are reading this because you are wondering who to use-wonder no more! You will not regret aligning with this company. :)
I’ve been a customer of control tech for more than 20 years. I have NEVER been unhappy with their services.
I have an annual maintenance contract with Control Trch which is a good value and disciplines me to stay on top of my system maintenance. This summer they filled my Freon and I just had my winter heating maintenance. The technician (TJ) was very knowledgeable and respectful. He was patient with me when I wasn't sure whether or not I had paid for a new contract and waited while I checked my records. He explained what he did and all charges seemed appropriate. Recommend highly.
Control Tech service tech was checking our heating system. He was extremely thorough and informed us that our humidifier wasn't working properly. Very helpful in his explanations about everything.
Do not use this company from Costco. I bought the air condition system from Costco and this company was installed. It have ten year warranty, but last year the heater was not working and call this company to check it. The tech was coming and found that blower was bad. Randy who is manager told me that I have to pay $356.25 to fix it even it still in warranty. Finally I did pay total $356.25 to them. The weird things I received a bill after NINE month and said that I have to pay another $99 for travel fee that time. Beware to buy or repair from this company
I am disappointed that I have to write this, but I think it is necessary to get attention from administration at Control Tech and to caution potential customers. I am not a good writer, and it is a long story, but I think it is worth the read. I am signed up for Control Tech’s biannual HVAC maintenance program, where technicians will inspect our HVAC system twice yearly in order to help maintain it and get a discount/priority on service, should any emergent situations arise. A couple nights ago, I came home from work around 8:15pm to find that the temperature in our house was the same as outside, 84 degrees Fahrenheit. This despite our nanny running the air conditioning all day to try to lower the temperature. I am not an expert in air conditioning maintenance and service, but I knew that something was wrong. Therefore, I called the Control Tech emergency service number to see if we could get assistance. Upon explaining our situation and informing them we have an infant at home, the scheduler told me that someone could make it out that very evening, but unfortunately, the call dropped. So, I called again. The second scheduler told me the same thing as the first – they could have someone out that very evening. She said that a technician would call me as soon as he was available. I was not expecting it, but I thanked her very much for the accommodation, and apologized for the late call. Then I got a call from the technician, Larry, and the bad experience began. Without a greeting, the very first thing Larry said on the phone with explicit anger was: “Why did you send in two emails for emergency service?” I replied, “Uh, I am sorry, but my first call dropped, and I don’t know if they got all the information they needed.” He then stated that he was not near my location, and that he was working on a job that would take a while to complete, so he could potentially be at our house in a couple hours. I informed him that I appreciated it, and as long as it was not inconve
The Lennox website indicates this company is one of its dealers. So I thought that I could purchase a pressure switch for my Lennox furnace. I went their office and gave them the model of my Lennox furnace and the part I wanted, but was told that they don't sell parts over the counter and need to a $ 99 diagnosis of my furnace before selling the pressure switch to me. This is what a dealer does? Very disappointing!
Control Tech is an honest, professional company. They truly stand behind their product and services. Responsive and timely, I would not use any other company for my HVAC needs.
I feel like I do not share good reviews enough and am always quick to review when we receive bad service. I wanted to be sure to give the people at Control Tech a good review. Our heat went out back in February when I was about 3 days away from my due date with our first child. It was freezing cold outside and we needed heat stat. Control Tech was able to get us in the next day and got our heat running that night. Then when the heat wave came in June we found our AC was not cooling properly, we had to go through the weekend with a hot house but they were able to come out the Monday I called to get it fixed for us. We now have a happy household and everyone is sleeping more comfortably including out almost 4 month old. So happy with our choice to have our 20 year old HVAC replaced by Control Tech and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Thank you!
Control Tech is always very polite and pleasant both on the phone and the techs that come to my home. They always clean up and at times better then it was before they arrived. I highly recommend this business.
I have used Control tech for all of my heating and A/C maintenance since moving to Zionsville, and have not been disappointed. When a new system was needed I chose them over other known companies and received amazing deals. Customer service has always been great and never an issue to get any needs attended to quickly. I have had great experiences with Jeremy on the sales team, and every tech has been courteous and professional when visiting for maintenance. I would recommend this company 100%
Been using Control Tech for years. They maintained my previous system so well. That I hired them to install the last one. They stand behind their products. Family company and local. They have told me when I needed to do things and when they could wait. You won’t find that from most folks anymore. Planning on using them when I replace my next HVAC units.
Control Tech exceeded my expectations! Their online service request form was easy to complete. They replied promptly and had a technician out later that day. Tony arrived on time and quickly got my HVAC repaired. He even explained what he was doing. I appreciated the brief explanation of how the HVAC unit works and why it malfunctioned. The fee was very reasonable. I will definitely use Control Tech for future HVAC needs.
I had no heat and called, Control Tech sent a tech out at my convenience & he found a bit of debris blocking the sensor. I now have heat. I renewed my maintenance agreement and everything is great as always.
