Called this company out to check out my AC that wasn’t working. I wasn’t at home at the time, so my wife called me to let him know the issues. I reported the coil in my air handler was frozen as well as the line sets going to the outside unit. He checked the filter which I change monthly, cleaned the outside coil and told my wife he couldn’t check the refrigerant levels because he didn’t have keys to the caps locks they installed. He never checked my indoor unit coils which talking to another professional is probably the issue. Long story short he was an under-qualified technician that came out and did work I do myself, then charged us $100 saying he fixed the problem. I called their office to speak to a service manager and have yet to talk to one. I would definitely recommend calling anyone else, this company is a joke.
Guy is crazy drives around his van cutting off people and flipping them off with his kid in the front seat. Not someone I want working on my stuff
I recently contacted this AC repair company because my AC was making a loud, annoying noise that was disrupting our TV viewing experience. Mike from the company came out and quickly diagnosed the problem - it was just a dirty vent that needed cleaning. He was able to clean the vent in no time and the noise stopped immediately. I cannot express how grateful I am for Mike's quick and efficient work. He saved our ears and allowed us to watch TV in peace again. The service was prompt and professional. Thank you so much for the excellent work, Mike, and for providing such exceptional customer service. Your expertise and professionalism are greatly appreciated.
Very professional service. I am very satisfied this service
We had an HVAC system installed in our new home build by Ken Maddox in 2014. I called to have them come out for maintenance on the system and was informed that we are no longer in their service area and I should Google search to find another business who would come take a look for us. If I was asking for a new system installation, I could accept this response. But to me it’s very disappointing and unprofessional that a business doesn’t stand behind their product and assist a past customer on a system that they installed.
Technician Mike (with the mustache) is awesome he has never failed to take care of me. He has went out of his way multiple times to help my family and I stay comfortable. Always professional, thorough and very knowledgeable. Wish I could say the same about other installers/technicians at Ken Maddox. He deserves a raise for all of his expectational service he’s always given us. You need more technicians like him! Thanks for everything Mike! -Codie
Wish I could give zero stars. I have a new home construction, I have leaking exhaust flues that’s acidic and ate away my Vinyl flooring. Every gas fitting is leaking and has no pipe dope. The entire duct system is undersized. The workers that installed my system had their kid in my home running around. The “installers” and kids were all in pajama pants. Currently have been waiting 5 hrs with no call back from a “service tech” what clowns this business has.
I have used Ken Maddox for 19 years they put my HVAC system in when we built the house. Long story short I will advise people not to use this do to poor customer service. I scheduled a service cleaning a few weeks ago do to it be hard to take time off work. I got a call a day before the scheduled appointment stating that they need to reschedule and the next available appointment is 10-12 days out. Over the past few years I have noticed a decline in their customer service. The lady that called was extremely rude and when I asked to talk to someone over her she hung up on me. Needless to say I went with another company which got me right in. Williams Comfort and air thanks.
Been using km for several years since they had a well documented history with the previous home owner. Of course they want to sell you stuff at your tune up appointment but I didn't find the prices offensively high and the hvac is a pretty important part of the house. The service techs have always been professional and courteous.
Very professional, fixed the problem, will use them again.
Installed a non-functioning HVAC unit into our new home. Made 10 service visits to "correct", but is still nonfunctional. Now they are demanding more payment to further service it. Incompetent and dishonest company.
Great service! Thorough check on my heating system for the fall checkup as was the check on the A/C system in the spring. Nice to have a reliable and honest service company as well as a dedicated and competent technician!
Michael was very diligent and explained to me what was causing our heater not to work. He then fixed the problem very quickly. I would definitely recommend Ken Maddox Heating & Air Conditioning to friends and relatives.
Honest and friendly! Michael came out to look at my A/C and was able to fix the problem and took time to show me things about my unit. Highly recommend!
I manage properties. Had an Emergency. These guys answered and responded immediately! Didn't require payment until service was rendered! Very Pleased! Great Job! Will keep them in mind for future needs.
Good people
We've had to call Maddox twice now in the past 19 years. They initially installed the heat pump in our house upon construction. This past call was a service call due to our A/C (heat pump) not working. They responded extremely quickly. The issue turned out to be a capacitor, but the tech could have tried to sell me a cooling fan as well. Instead he cooled down the fan, which had overheated, got it running, then checked if it was drawing too much current (would show overheat damage). I might end up needing one sometime, but the savings today was much appreciated. I trust these people and will call again as needed.
Good people
This is the contractor that my builder uses to design and install the HVAC systems in their homes. The system started short-cycling upon first use. Then, I found out that I am unable to heat or cool my entire home due to bad design. I have a zoned system and I can currently only heat or cool one zone at a time. I have had three different HVAC companies out and all have reported that the ductwork design was insufficient for the system that was installed. I have been trying to get an explanation on this for months only to be told "the owner is aware and is supposed to be getting you something soon". I call back weekly, they take down my information and say he is aware, and then I hear nothing. I have never received such a run-around from a company in my life.
Office staff follow through needs a lot of work. The closing process on my house is being delayed because I am still waiting on their invoice which was supposed to be emailed the day after the service call.
