We use Mister Quik for all our home maintenance needs! Today they here to fix part of the toilet that was leaking. They gave us our options with prices before scheduling a technician. When completing the installation, a different part was broken but they immediately told me and made it right, free of charge. The experience took longer than we expected, but they did a great job and apologized for the inconvenience.

Technician came out to look at the air conditioner. Told me that it was bad and needed to be fixed at a cost of between $9000-$12000. Did not explain how they arrived at that diagnosis. Called a friend who connected me with another company for a second opinion and they came out a couple days later. They quickly saw it was the capacitor which they replaced and the system ran smoothly as a result. Simple fix for any professional who knows what they’re doing. Mr Quick consult cost me $89, enough to know I do not ever want to work with them again!

I call Mr. Quik when I can’t wait. They cost more but usually get there faster than anyone else with their fleet. On this occasion they told me between 10 and 11 am when I called with a leaking spigot at 8:43, but they didn’t arrive until the afternoon. I thought I had broken the valve and the leak was continuous so it was concerning not to see a plumber until 3ish, but Tom eventually explained that the leak was only with the water on. The frost proof spigot had been left attached to the hose through the winter by the previous owner, and trapped water burst the connecting pipe between the outside handle and inside valve. It cost over 900 to replace, which seems high to me, but at least I feel better that I didn’t break anything, and the frost free design kept water from leaking continuously even with the handle off.

*UPDATE* (7/4/23): I had another company come out for a 2nd opinion. Reggie with Mr Quik was right when he told me that the capacitor on my a/c was failing. However, Mr Quik quoted $631 dollars to replace it and the other company did it for $395. (THAT'S 236 DOLLARS!!!!!) Reggie wasn't given a break down of parts and labor in that quote. The other company probably wasn't the cheapest, but i trust them because they've done awesome work on my roof for a reasonable price. This makes me regret using Mr Quik to clean my ductwork last year. I bet i could have had it done for half of the $792 they charged me. I'm changing from 3 stars to 1 star. When i get taken advantage of, i do not give more than 1 star. And make no mistake, this is a company review, not a technician review! Reggie was great, which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. But every time Mr Quik comes out, they quote thousands of dollars worth of work that needs done. They came out to do the routine maintenance on my a/c. I'm not sure what was done other than looking for other stuff that needed done. He pointed out how dirty my ductwork was and how inferior a rotobrush cleaning was, which is why he was recommending a fancy new way that costs over $1000. They are the ones that cleaned my ductwork last year and they used a rotobrush. That cost me $792. When they did the routine maintenance on my furnace, the same upsell thing happened. When my garbage disposal went out, they quoted $730 for the low end option. A disposal is $150 and takes 15-30 minutes to replace. There comes a point when the cost doesn't justify what you get, no matter how fantastic the customer service (which is apparently why their prices are so high). Unfortunately, that is where we are now. We just can't afford Mr Quik.
