The only downside is that it is a cash only business, which is very inconvenient when you need a part during the holidays when the banks are closed. Seeing as credit cards have become the norm in everyday life, it's odd that they haven't started accepting them yet.

I normally don’t leave reviews but the Great service from Mitch on Thanksgiving Day leaving his family to come out to fix my furnace.Mitch diagnosed the problem and had to go back to his shop for the replacement part so glad he had it in stock then came back to install it so my family could enjoy the day with heat.There weren’t any added fees/charges because it was a holiday.I recommend him his sign says 24/7 7days a week and it’s true.

Our furnace broke down on the first bit of truly cold weather, 13 degrees on a Saturday night. After watching YouTube videos, we determined it was a bad igniter. Finding the part on a blustery Sunday was seemingly impossible. Shipping would take 2 days. Then we found Citywide Supply and Service. Hooray! We’re incredibly grateful to Mitch. He drove over to the shop for us on a Sunday to open up and let us purchase a new furnace igniter. He was friendly, even offered us a beverage! His dog Jack was adorable. He cross checked the part to make sure we had the right item. The part was OEM. Told us to call or text if we had any questions. We installed the new part and have heat again! We saved ourselves a lot of money not having to hire someone. Just took a 1/4 socket and my tiny hands to get it installed. I’m happy to support a small local business over a big box store any day. Thank you CS&S!

We have 2 furnaces and 2 air conditioning units. And right when the weather is bouncing back and forth between cold and hot, one of each had a problem. I called Citywide Supply and Service and spoke to Mitch Moore Jr. Mitch was great and he was out the next day to look at the problems for both units. He let us know what was wrong and we scheduled the repairs for a few days later. It rained the next day so his outside job was cancelled and he called to see if he could come over to fix our problems. Mitch and his assistant Al were soon over at our house and fixed both problems within a couple of hours. This is the second time in two years that Citywide Supply and Service really came through and helped us out in a pinch. I highly recommend Citywide Supply and Service and strongly believe you will too if you make them your go to if you make them your heating and cooling issues.

No idea what may have been going on, but despite the 24/7 guarantee on their site, no one answered at ~10pm and voicemail was full. I get the world has been upended and I hope all are OK, but doesn't take much to change a voicemail or put a sign on a door. Again, I hope all is well.

My furnace was not heating up on a thursday. Really glad it was just the furnace ignitor. They had it in stock so i was able to fix it right away. Mitch was very nice. They were the only place in jefferson park area that was a supply store and is selling parts. Home depot, lowes, menards and ace hardware only sells it online and would've taken at least 3 days to arrive.

We just purchased our new home 3 days ago, and woke up for our furnace not working. In a frenzy, I called and spoke to Mitch. Great, convenient service! I was in need of an inducer motor for a Carrier furnace. After not having any luck with the local suburban shops near my home, I found Citywide through an internet search. I called the phone number provided, but reached their voicemail. Thinking that the store was possibly closed for the day, I didn’t leave a voicemail. I was pleasantly surprised a few minutes later when I received a text message from Citywide stating that they were sorry for missing my phone call. I was able to send the inducer motor part number to them through a text and they quickly replied that they had the motor in stock. The price Citywide was asking for the motor was very reasonable! It was the same price that I had found on two of the major online HVAC supply websites, and $100 - $300 cheaper than some of the suburban HVAC supply stores. Plus, it was available same day and I didn’t have to pay for shipping. It’s neat how they converted an old bar into their HVAC supply store. My son and I were even offered a cold soda when we went to pick the part up. It’s great knowing they are available 24 hours a day as well! I highly recommend Citywide Supply and Service and will be sharing my experience with all of my family and friends. Thank you!

Needed to repair my walk in cooler, had a great experience with them the first time not to much the second time. The individual assigned to the job kept making excuses to work around the problem made my business wait 4 days just to give me an answer. Not professional at all was very upset with the way things were handled. Called a competitor and he fixed it in two hours. Lol

He took his time to check the whole furnace and to determine the best course of action. He showed me the leak and explained to me the best course of action. Excellent service! I've been working with Citywide Supply for almost two years since I moved to the neighborhood. This is a family-owned and operated business that has been around forever, so they seem to know what they are doing, at least in my experience. Mitch Jr and his father are always prompt to respond and available to solve issues asap. They are very friendly and professional. I met them during the pike of the pandemic in Chicago and they took safety measures seriously, to assist me diligently. They are always a phone call away and willing to come to solve my problems no matter the time or their super busy schedule. They have assisted me several times due to an AC system that was in the house already and wasn't working properly until they took the lead. In my experience, they have been consistent with their work and customer service so I would recommend them 100%. They are my go-to company, both for maintenance and unforeseen matters.

I found them while looking for a new limit switch for my heater. Mitch found the part early in the morning and it was even an upgrade over what I originally had. When I had an issue Mitch went out of his way to come over and fix things and while here he diagnosed an even more major problem that I had with the blower wheel and fixed it. Above and beyond, honest and invested in the community. Any parts I need going forward or any work I need done, this will be the only place I use.
