Thanks You Mr. Sergio Torres, President, of Brothers Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, ( HVAC-R ) For your installation of my Central Air Conditioning Unit, this spring, for the summer, and heating, last fall into the winter. We had a minor problem with a faulty case coil I purchased from Johnstone Supply store # 565, but my warranty within time limit , solved the problem. Afterwards, you continued showing great professionalism finishing the job. I sincerely thank you, Mr Sergio Torres, Sincerely Richard Kearney was looking for something to remove my old furnace and install my new furnace. After seeking and contacting several companies Sergio Torres (President of Brothers Heating and Cooling ), was the only one who found time to to come out and understand my requests. I’m a new homeowner and had questions/concern regarding hvac system. Sergio came by and checked out my concerns. He was extremely detailed and provided me with great information! Sergio was tremendously helpful to us new home owners. He showed up within 24 hours and quickly diagnosed the problem with our furnace. He has detailed knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical systems and it is apparent that he can explain issues and options at both high and detailed levels. Sergio takes helping his customers seriously, and helped us dodge a more costly repair recommended by another HVAC service provider that would not have fixed the root cause. We feel fortunate to know Sergio will give us honest and effective service, and we give our strongest recommendation to anyone needing help with their HVAC system.
We bought a townhouse that was previously a rental property, it was vacant for months before our purchase. The duct cleaning company who serviced our home informed and showed us how extremely dirty and unmaintained our furnace was. The owner of the duct cleaning company referred us to Sergio/Brothers Heating & Cooling, as he vouched for the kind of work he does. We contacted Sergio that very moment and was able to immediately set an appointment. He went to our townhouse that same day and assessed our furnace and AC condition. He explained to us in detail the current condition of the furnace & AC, what the problems were and what needs to be done. Being first time homeowners we know very little of these household items, Sergio really took the time to explain them to us, took photos & videos and pointed out to us what are normal and not. He then set a plan and discussed with us what needs to be done. The next day he and his worker came back and thoroughly cleaned and fixed our furnace, he showed us first how it looks before , and then after the work was done. We are amazed by the huge difference. Very detailed work, neat and organized. He then proceeded to clean our AC, he explained to us what will be done and the materials to be used. The before and after AC cleaning appearance is just astounding. We are really impressed of how meticulous Sergio does his work, very professional and shows utmost care and concern to his client. They cleaned up after working on our townhouse and made sure not to leave any trash, and received a call the next day to check and make sure everything is fine. We're really happy and satisfied with the service we received. It is hard to find someone who goes above and beyond in his profession. We highly recommend Sergio/Brothers Heating & Cooling. Thank you very much again, we will definitely do business with you again in the future and surely refer you to our family and friends.
Sergio was incredibly professional. He arrived to my home despite encountering problems on his way here and proceeded to quickly diagnose the source of my furnace's issue. He quickly changed the needed parts and even helped tighten the seal of a register. Along the way his suggestions and conversation were welcomed. Talking to him in my native language was great and I am happy to say Sergio possesses a level of integrity that clearly guides his work. I would recommend Sergio's services to anyone, his suggestions, prices, and work is guided by the values we all hope to see in skilled tradesmen: competence and honesty.

March, 2023 Update: After 13 years, we finally got around to asking Sergio to finish the whole house HVAC job that we started long ago. 13 years ago, Sergio put in two systems, one for the basement and first floor of our big 120 year old house in Edgewater, and another system for the second floor and attic. (The attic was mostly unfinished at that time and totally in "standby" when it came to HVAC. But, the system Sergio installed was "ready to go" for the attic.) We're now upgrading the attic and Sergio came out and added ducts, etc. for the now-being-finished attic. This included putting a one-of-a-kind self-fabricated "boot" under the floor of the attic (and above the ceiling on the second floor) to feed a downstairs room. Excellent job. Top quality, very responsive. Highly recommended. *** A number of years ago Sergio installed a very complicated heating and AC system in my 110 year old house. Two completely separate units, one for the basement and first floor, the other for the second floor and attic area. Excellent workmanship. Good price. I particularly like the job he did on the visible duct work in the basement "game room." Just had a small problem with the thermostat for one of the units. Sergio came right out and fixed things. Good fast service, good price. Summer:2021. Sergio installed a top of the line commercial water heater in the house. Good job, good price. Highly recommend. February 2022; Another minor problem with furnace system. Sergio came right out -- late in the evening -- and fixed things right away. Terrific service. Got great service today from Sergio, who came exactly when he said he would and diagnosed the issue with my upstairs furnace right away. The problem actually was a poor quality install from a different HVAC company a couple of months ago. Very friendly, capable, and honest. Would definitely use him again.
Great service and reasonable prices. I was able to contact Sergio late in the evening. He arrived within a few hours to fix our furnace on a frigid cold night. He’s easy to reach and will explain all the issues along with different solutions with various price points. This business is transparent and reliable. We will be using them for any future needs.
LOOK NO FURTHER! Truly wish I had not wasted my time calling some well-known companies. We had a heating emergency on one of the coldest nights. One company literally said they "would not be able to help" because they did not know how to work with our type of system and the other one did not get back to us until literally 5 hrs. later when they advertise as a "24/7" business. Thank God! I found Brother's Heating Co. I was shocked, but in a good way that Sergio answered his phone on the 2nd ring. He made it to our home in a very timely manner. He explained to us what the issues were and the steps to fix them. That to me is how a professional should work. Prices were also very reasonable. From now on Sergio will be our go-to person.
