Jeff came out because I had a strange issue with my ac. It was barely working and when I shut off my ac part of my electricity went out. Jeff took less than 10 minutes to figure out it was a ComEd problem and even took the time to explain what was happening.
Honest fast service!!!
Fast and efficient, family hired them after another company didn't call back and it was getting very hot after a couple of days with no air conditioning. Pillar was on it, same day repair when other companies needed more time. Gave good advice regarding filters and knew what they were talking about. Thank you! I will recommend them to my friends and family.
Our AC recently went out. Pillar Heating and Air was able fit us in with their tight schedule to repair before the holiday weekend. We have done business with them before. The company provides an excellent service. Most importantly their sense of care and integrity.

First time customer but the previous home owner had used Pillar to install and maintain the HVAC system and it’s obvious why. I Called during a heat wave with the house at 85 degrees. Was told they would be out at 3:30 and Adam arrived an hour ahead of schedule, knew his stuff, explained why the 13 years old part went bad, and got the repair done quickly. Highly recommend Pillar for anything HVAC related.

Travis was recommended to me by our real estate agent. He is exceptional! He knew exactly what was wrong. He’s very smart, honest and great to work with. I called late at night and he returned my call within a few minutes. He came by at 8 a.m. and in about 15 minutes I could feel cold air again! Thank you for taking care of us and making sure we were safe in this heat by handling it so fast.

Travis was great! He was very informative and walked me step by step on what was the issue with my furnace. He also gave me tips on maintaining my furnace and the type of filters I should use. Fast, attentive, reasonable pricing, and quality equipment. Pillar came out to look at my 20+ year old contractor's grade central AC system after it stopped cooling. I talked to Travis (the owner) on the phone and he sent Adam to see what was wrong. It was no surprise that my unit needed more work than it was worth and we discussed replacing with a new system. The quote was reasonable, so we set up an installation date and Adam did what he could to temporarily fix to my old unit to keep it running until the new unit could be installed. Pillar uses American Standard equipment , which are the exact same products as Trane, and both are top rated for reliability. We went with the basic Silver Series AC unit as recommended by Pillar. They said it's hard to get your money back on the added cost of a more efficient unit with how short AC season is in our area. There was no up-sell for a more expensive unit. Our new AC is quiet and works great. Installation took 4-5 hours. Travis, Adam & Jeff were all on site for the install. Great job and Thanks! We will use them again and highly recommend them.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Pillar fixed the issues that the other company could not. I will never use another HVAC company again. My A/C wasn't working. I initially called one of the big HVAC companies that you see all the ads for... Big mistake. The other company quoted super high for the repair, then told me I needed a new furnace / blower. After spending thousands of dollars with the other company, the A/C still wasn't right. The big company came out multiple times and said it was "fixed" even though it was making loud noises and not that cold. I needed a 2nd opinion so I called Pillar. They came through with flying colors. They fixed all the mistakes that the other company created / neglected to fix. The other company didn't replace the wiring to the new unit. So the wires were touching and shorting out, which created other problems. Pillar was able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first visit. The tech was super knowledgeable, friendly, and I felt comfortable with him in my house. Next time I will call Pillar first... Lesson learned.
Travis is amazing! I have used his services a few times and recommended his company to anyone looking for a reliable HVAC professional! I highly recommend his work. He was able to squeeze me in last minute and did an astonishing job on our new unit! He followed up with us before/during/after the whole process.
Travis is always very helpful and easy to talk to. He's also knowledgeable, and prices are extremely reasonable. On top of all that, he sells American Standard equipment, which is rated the most reliable.
Travis went above and beyond to fix my mom's a/c. He worked extra hours on the weekend at no extra charge to sort the problem. Honest HVAC companies are sadly hard to find but this is definitely one of them. Will be reccomending pillar to everyone I know.
You can tell a lot about a service provider when things don't go exactly right, and Travis earned my business when we hit a bump in the road. Purchased HVAC system through Pillar. Travis was very straight forward in the sales process - factual, on point and didn't attempt to "step me up" to a system I didn't need. Also, the price was competitive, and I didn't hear, "we'll match any price" heard from other installers. One goes through the shopping process to obtain price estimates which, combined with the product benefits and features, are part of the value proposition. I prefer a strong proposal from the start - something I received from Pillar. We were replacing a 23-year-old system, and, unfortunately, the new one made a low, air-induced, rumbling noise after it was installed. I noticed it right off - it wasn't terribly intrusive, and I actually got somewhat accustomed to it after a few days, but Travis and I agreed it wasn't right. Therefore, he came back twice at about 2 hours a visit to remedy the situation. Finally, he replaced my 1" filter with a 4" filter - which meant he had to rework/replace venting by installing a larger filter box - not a cheap date both in time and parts - no charge. While I'm aware this should be part of the installation - the time and effort he made to "make it right" is noteworthy. I'm sure it impacted his bottom-line on the install. I greatly admire Travis' positive attitude, drive, perseverance and urgency to get it right. In short, Pillar earned my business and this recommendation.
Travis with Pillar Air is wonderful! He’s very helpful and I know he isn’t trying to rip me off which is why we have been using Pillar since we moved in over 5 years ago. We had Nate service our furnace a few years ago also who was great. Highly recommend this company!
