We called Kama’aina Plumbing and the dispatcher answered, assigned a plumber efficiently. Plumber showed up on time/earlier than we had even hoped, and got the job done efficiently. The plumber, Michael, was courteous and quick. SO grateful. Thank you!

I went with them because because they work with Home Depot and I have a rental property in Hawaii and needed a water heater replaced. From the beginning I stated numerous times I was going to put the work on my Home Depot credit card. They are horrible at gettin back with you. They never explained the process to me. I’m thinking since they are with Home Depot they are a good company. First they requested pictures so I sent them, never heard from them. Then, I emailed them about to see if they got the job started and I was told they were still waiting on the pictures I had sent 2 weeks ago. I resend the pictures and then she tells me that she found the 2 week old email but they need better pictures. I get them the better pictures and wait. Nothing from them! I email to see what the status is and I get told they are waiting on me to buy the water heater, which I was never told to do. I was thinking they are with HD so they will pick up the heater, do the job and send me a bill so I can pay with my HD card but no. I then buy the heater and tell them. Job was done correctly. Then I wait for the bill. No bill. I email them about the bill and I am told that they sent the bill to my property manager!!! I spoke to Alyssa in numerous times and I explained to her many times I was gonna pay with my HD card cause this was exactly what I didn’t want to happen. Alyssa then tell me that the property manager check it’s in their possession but they have not process it and that they won’t. So I give them my HD card so they can charge that. Everything seems fine but no!!! I email 4 days after to inquire to see if the charge went thru to the HD card and Alyssa tells me that it is still processing and when it does she will send me a receipt. Never happens. A week later I email her and she tell me the original check from the property manager was processed!!!! And they didn’t charge my HD card!!! I get no interest in my HD card. That’s why I wanted to do that instead of taking 900 dollars

This is the only plumbing company The Home Depot contracts out for the windward side of the island. The cost of installation that this company quoted us was more than the water heater! They informed us it would cost around $850!! to install the heater because of the existing system the home has. After calling many other plumbing companies and explaining the situation, they all informed us the same installation would cost at the most, $500. Took my business elsewhere to say the least.

Got recommended by their pest control company. Allen and his team promptly helped out with our water heater issues. Thank you Kamaaina!

Wow, very disappointed with Kaamaina Plumbing. I took the day off and plumber was scheduled for 8 to 10 am. He (Alan) never showed up. Office staff let phone RING off the hook, and I finally got through about 11. Very expensive estimate and very disorganized operation. Recommend looking elsewhere for plumbing support.

Workers should be drug tested. VERY rushed job causing DAMAGE to appliance and nothing but excuses from installer when confronted to fix what he had damaged, leading to no replies back till a day later. Reported situation to business and manager NEVER called back to resolve my complaint. If it wasn't for their partnership w/ Home Depot for appliance installation, I would have gone elsewhere. If you want your appliance damaged, half ass installed, and taking their sweet time returning a defective unit to the proper place then this is the place to go!!!

Living in an older high rise condo has exposed me to interesting plumbing needs. The first two plumbers I needed to hire did adequate work but seemed to leave small things undone. For example after the installation of a new garbage disposal, the plumber stated that the slight looseness was how it was supposed to be. However, when the Home Depot partnership with Kama'aina Plumbing resulted in Joe installing a new toilet, I saw a plumber with total attention to detail and total neatness. When, a few months later, my sink was clogged, I called the same company and rescheduled the time so that Joe could be the plumber. Again, I notice systematic attention to detail and neat and complete work. Incidentally, Joe also noticed that the garbage disposal was not properly tightened and properly tighten the screws. I will contact this company and ask for this plumber in the future.
