Thomas and Shawn were both knowledgeable and helpful today during my hvac service. Everything was discussed prior to them completing the work and it was a seemingly great experience! They made sure my unit was fully working before leaving as well!
We have used Old Coast several times in the past and will continue to use them for all of our HVAC needs in the future. From the beginning when Jonathan came and inspected the issues that we were having with our old unit , to when Anthony came and helped us decide what equipment we needed and which unit was the right fit for our budget and our home . Then Hector and his crew came and quickly and efficiently installed the new unit . It was a seamless and very professional process from beginning to end. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Everyone did a great job and we will definitely recommend this company to all of our friends. Thanks again for keeping us cool 😎!
Kyle is a savior. Really! A/C out on a Friday before holiday. 85 degrees inside home and 63 percent humidity. He walked in, introduced himself and went to work. Explained to me what he was doing, went through a series of troubleshooting and testing found the problem and fixed it all before 430pm. Super nice, very respectful. I am thankful I called at 630am and they were able to get out to me the same day and fix the unit. Thank you Old South. :)
Repost: I received a call about my concern below on the next day and the representative assisted me graciously and explained the procedure and made all the corrections needed during that call. So I am re-rating them 5 stars because they gave me a convenient appt as my mom is disabled and they accommodated that, they provided great service and customer service, and followed up with my review and were able to educate me on their process and fixed my concern. Thanks and I will be contacting you for my upgrade.. Service tech was great, appt time was perfect for us. Only thing is that it appeared that I could make monthly payments on my warranty coverage and was surprised to find I had to pay up front. 11/18/2020 I had a new Trane heating and air system installed yesterday. My experience was exceptional from the sales call for review and pricing until the crew showed me how to work the thermostat. The office staff member Veronica made me feel like I was the most important customer and she followed up with me after installation. I am so pleased that I chose this company to perform my installation. 9/8/2021 Thomas came out for my maintenance today. He was so friendly and courteous and very thorough. He explained everything to me and offered other services to benefit my system. He explained my upcoming maintenance options and followed up a pricing question. He answered all my questions regarding the plans. He is an asset to the company and I hope he comes back the next time. He provided excellent customer service. 2/11/2022 Today Ryan from Old Coast came to do the maintenance inspection on my Trane Hvac unit. He was prompt and very thorough. Great customer service and provided great feedback on my unit and future needs. Most of all he was nice, friendly and helpful. Chris and Marco came out and installed our new Trane HVAC unit On time and professional. Protected our house and kept everything cleaned. I appreciated that the man they sent was very knowledgeable and able to explain to me all about my situation, what he was going to do to have everything up and running and steps that could be taken to keep everything in working order. He was professional and courteous in doing all he said and had my problem fixed, my unit up and running just as he said. He explained everything he did, gave me space for questions that he was able to answer to my satisfaction. I am extremely satisfied with his visit and success in bringing my unit back on line and working fine. I highly recommend this company and their service, top notch. I will be getting a service maintenance contract to keep everything up and running.

On site within 3 hours of call for service. technican kept me informed on arrival, was courteous, prompt, and troubleshot my system quickly. He identified the issue, explained it to me in simple to understand terms, and got the part ordered and setup a follow up in record time. Will definitely be using old coast in the future for my HVAC system repairs.

I reached out to Old Coast as my HVAC system was blowing air, but it wasn't cold. A tech came out same day and I mentioned that I had to leave town, but my wife would wrap things up with him and reach out to me if it isn't a cheap easy fix. The tech determined that we needed a new compressor which would cost around $4,300. We paid the diagnostic fee of $135 and got a 2nd opinion. Another company had a tech come out next day with an $89 diagnostic fee and it took him all of 5 minutes to determine it was the capacitor not compressor. The difference.... $200~ all in job with diagnostic fee vs. $4,300 Old Coast Diagnosed us with. The tech from the other company made the repair in 15 minutes and even showed my wife the broken part he replaced. I then called Old Coast and requested a refund for their diagnosis as they clearly diagnosed our system wrong and did not provide accurate service. I had to follow up a couple times, but did get my money back. Moral of the story... get a 2nd opinion. I will say everyone I worked with was nice and apologized for the mistake.
Very professional and on top of everything they do. Wendy in the office is very helpful and will do everything to accommodate the customers request. The techs and the leaders understand your needs and do/work with you to meet your requests. I highly recommend Old Coast Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone. They have different programs meeting your needs and goals.
The reps are very respectful and nice. They take care of what they are doing while I can do other things. I highly recommend them.
I called Old Coast HVAC about a thermostat that was not working properly and the temps were going to be freezing the next few days. When I called they said that they could send a tech out that day and the service charge would be $135 and I agreed to that. When the tech was here and checking on the HVAC and thermostat I asked about thermostat prices he said they have one that they carry and recommend and he said was $125 and I don't remember the exact amount of labor but he said 100 something. After his diagnosis of the HVAC and thermostat, he determined I needed a new stat. I said what will the actual total cost be and he stepped outside to call his office and when he came back into my house he told me the cost would be $605 and I had already paid the service fee. I was blown away at the cost of installing an inexpensive stat and a 10-15 min installation, but I had to agree because it was going down to 32 degrees that night and I had nowhere to go. Also, I was afraid to question the tech because I was afraid he'd leave. The next day I called their office and was given one excuse after another of why it cost 605 for a stat that retails for 124-125 was so high. I did not agree to a warranty and I was not told it was an emergency call because it was during their regular business hours. I sincerely feel that they took advantage of the situation and the fact I'm a senior citizen. I asked two friends out-of-state that have worked as contractors and both said wow, bummer, outrageous. There are plenty of these companies in Savannah so do your homework and please don't get taken advantage of as I did. I did call them about this and was supposed to get a call back from the manager, but of course I didn't get a call back. Update I received a call back after I posted this review from a manager and he did apologize and explained that the office gave the tech the wrong amount. The charge was $375, but IMO still a bit high according to my research and talking with contractors. Ho
