Called Byrd for a service call/second opinion for work on our HVAC system. Technician was on time, knowledgeable and helpful with our quote and work for our system. Decided to schedule work on our system due to honesty and dependability with company. Would recommend this company. It did take 10 days for the itemized bill and 3 calls to receive it, but this issue was resolved quickly also. Our technician was Clay Eason and would highly recommend him, as well as the others within this company.
Byrd HVAC's Tech was on time, super polite, went out of his way to help me understand my problems, repaired the issue and even took a look at my 2d system to make sure it was working well too. I was very impressed & grateful!

The repair man who came really went all out to find and fix the problem. It was a weekend and after hours but still friendly and ready to help.
Byrd technician gave us a quote for 15 to 16 thousand dollars cause they said our Air Handler was bad. So we called the original install company Savannah Air Factory on a Sun. ( after hours) and they determined it was the Compressor start up Capacitor and a couple wires had to be changed back to the right terminals on the upstairs Air Handler. I would hate to think the Byrd service man would overlook the Capacitor and/or change wires upstairs on the air handler, but we choose the 450.00 fix even after hours on a weekend and it is working perfectly. The young man James from Savannah Air Factory was nice and knowledgeable. Always get 2 opinions, it can save you a lot of money.
Byrd has always been our go to company. The are efficient, friendly, and get the job done. Our rentee was very happy with their quick response.
Thanks to Richie and his amazing team we can sleep well knowing our homes AC is fixed and it’s not 85 degrees inside the house!! I am so thankful for these hard working folks at Byrd’s!!
Service repairman checked "NO COOLING" complaint within two hours. Ordered replacement parts. Office followed up on the complaint, advised of the parts ordered and outlined time for repair upon receipt of parts.
As someone who works in the trade industry myself I’ve ran into difficult customers on occasion. As a customer I’ve never came across someone who was rude or condescending that was performing work at my residence. Now I can say I have. I’ve had Byrd out numerous times this year and spent a good deal of money. I’ve had excellent customer service from every tech who has been out, hence a 5 star review that has now been edited to 2. I was told that there was nothing he can do and we have to deal with our AC not getting below 73. That’s fair, but I will get a second opinion just to be sure. The problem is he told my wife that mid 70s indoor temps is perfectly fine for our 1and 4 year olds that sleep upstairs (sudden infant death syndrome can be related to temps over 72!). I got home and went outside to greet him. Asked if he’s been upstairs in the attic to check that unit. His response was: If I know better than him he can take me up there and I can show him where the problem is. I should have kicked him of my property at that point. I don’t want or need to argue with someone that I’m paying to be there. I just treated him like I would a difficult client and killed him with kindness. Other techs such as James and previous employees were great and deserve 5 stars. The gentlemen who was last at my property deserves one star and is not welcome back. I will be calling to request that next time (if there is) to send someone else. It takes months to find a customer and seconds to lose one! Update: Decided to give your company one more shot. After spending thousands with your company over the last 2 years you were not willing to waive a diagnostic fee despite misdiagnosing my AC on previous visits. Be warned, they are in it for your short term business.
Have found Byrd CAC to be very responsive, and professional. Technicians are well qualified, and provide a detailed report on your system. Annual maintenance program is well priced.
