Until this week, I had only used Casteel for routine seasonal HVAC service upkeep. Always prompt, professional, and fairly priced. However, during a recent summer service call it was determined that our main 2ton unit needed to be replaced. A Casteel rep (Matt H.) was able to visit with me within 24hrs of the initial service call. Matt did an excellent job explaining our options and costs associated to either replace the cooling portion of the unit or the entire system without any sales pressure. Fully transparent and accounted for the fact we’re moving in <5 yrs and didn’t want to buy a top-tier system. After ample discussion with Matt, we went with a full new system and the price was fair. The fully transferrable 10-yr warranty was a huge selling point, as was the breadth of the warranty coverage. We never felt rushed during Matt’s visit and appreciate his professionalism. The installation team arrived promptly at our home the following morning. Zach, Charles, and “G” were extremely courteous and respectful while here, took the time to explain the planned installation, as well as kept me apprised of their status and any holdups as they occurred. Very diligent with the installation, working nearly non-stop after arriving for nearly seven hours, minus an abbreviated lunch break. Though younger relative to the other service techs we’ve had, they were very competent and trained for this installation. Zach thoroughly explained the system and the work accomplished during the post-installation ‘walk-through”. All together, this was an unexpected expense that the Casteel team made very bearable with their transparency and professionalism. Thank you!!

Casteel and Elliot specifically are amazing. We had a horrible home warranty service that sent two different companies who would not or could not diagnose why our system was not working. Within 10 minutes Elliot had our system diagnosed and within an hour had it fixed. Thank you Elliot!

All of the above mentioned: Professional, On time, Good Quality, Responsive, Good value. Ask for a technician by the name of Chris Monahan, great technician...very professional and friendly. Explains everything and makes it understandable for someone like me that has never been to hvac school. I highly recommend this company. They have great customer service over the phone too.

May be a long post. Tech came out Friday June 22nd. He was thinking thermostat. Not it. He came back again on the 23rd. He could not fix the unit saying a new one was needed. Fast forward to Monday June 26th the tech that i have always used came out and had the unit running within 30 minutes. In the mean time a sale consultant came to the house on Saturday June 24th he done his spill of everything with a cost of 13,400 for a new unit. Now having said all that the tech and the sals rep are just doing their job but the company in general and the management is what i want to talk about. This is by far the way to run a company try to sell when it is not needed and that is all it is. Integrity and character are the only things we have left as people and companies. So having said that i could go on and on but just beware of this company in general. Get second and third opinions before spending unnecessary money. On a follow up it’s July 7th customer service just reached out to me about this post. The nice lady ask what they could do to help this situation. Meaning can we give your money back to take this post down. Again as i have said before i do not blame any employee there i blame the management for setting the rule and regulations of the company and those rules do not look out for the customers and making them happy it’s all about the big sale with this company. I will not be convinced otherwise. Beware is all i can say

I got a message on my thermostat that something was seriously wrong and needed immediate attention. Called Casteel. They offered to come out immediately but that wasn't convenient so I scheduled for the next day. Jason Avaloy arrived on time, was very considerate, polite and respectful. Explained what he was doing and why. He even helped me to set up a feature on my thermostat that I hadn't been able to do myself. If you need service, call Casteel and ask for Jason by name. You won't regret it.

Samuel came to check my A/C that was not blowing any cool air. Despite the hot temperature outside, he worked very hard outside on the unit to determine the problem. I appreciate the time he took to show me the root of the problem and explained why it was malfunctioning in a manner that I could understand. He is very knowledgeable about his profession and cares about his customers.

Our A/C went out recently and I called around to see who could come out the quickest as we have company coming into town. Casteel was the first to say they can have someone out the same day! The service tech Sam was beyond amazing, and very knowledgeable. We unfortunately need a new system because ours is discontinued so we will be meeting today to get a quote. This company is extremely fast with their service and that is what I love the most. When you want something done it gets taken care of right away! I’m looking forward to working with this amazing company to get us back in service. 10/10 recommend! I will come back for the sales rep and install review!

I called Casteel to get help with clanging pipes every time we used water on Sunday, July 2, 2023, hoping the holiday weekend would not leave me stranded. I was surprised to have a knowledgeable tech come to the house just hours after I called. I was sent his name and picture before he arrived. Chris listened as I explained my problem in very layman's terms. He checked a couple of areas, then showed and explained my problem. He took care of it right then. I was lucky not to need additional parts. Chris is a very polite and professional young man. I was glad I had called Casteel and I would highly recommend them.

Daniel arrived on time and showed courtesy by having shoe covering available when I answered the door. My problem had a few moving parts and I had conducted some troubleshooting, as well as, having another company dispatch before contacting Casteel. Daniel, unlike the earlier Sears technician, was attentive as I explained what I had done and responded with theories about the problem before beginning his evaluation. He showed technical prowess by immediately determining the root cause and taking the appropriate measures to correct the problem with break-neck speed. I have used Casteel before but I had chosen another company to perform routine maintenance. Casteel outshined the Sears technician who had performed poorly earlier in the day. My appointment was for a failed inspection because on a previous appointment, Casteel chose not to replace the rusted out vent pipe when replacing the water heater. I called in with my concerns prior to the inspection and was summarily dismissed, and then the inspector flagged the exact same thing. Everything about this experience has been the epitomy of laziness; the vent wasn't replaced on the initial appointment, the tech clearly didn't want to do ANY extra work, and what he did do, he did the absolute bare minimum on. He wasn't prepared; he had to go out and buy materials despite me telling the booking agent exactly what the problem was and what was needed. And he didn't clean up after himself. He left large piles of rust and dirt on the floor and made absolutely no effort to clean any of it up. Everything about my experience with Casteel, from the phone agents to the tech, has been problematic. From appointments not getting entered, to sending the wrong team, to my experience today, has been the absolute bare minimum.
