Selecting an air conditioning repair company in Atlanta is difficult at best. Finding Comfort Shield was wonderful and just in time for the next wave of hot humid days. The technician diagnosed the issue and had things working again shortly after arrival. Then, I was surprised when he explained exactly what was happening and what was broken. Not too complicated – just cool air! Thank You! Update. 6 years since my last review. Our yearly maintenance with Comfort shield has prevented costly repairs and bringing unbearable heat indoors. Thank You again Comfort Shield!
We had an issue with our A/C turning on and called this company to come out and diagnose the issue. A guy came out and diagnosed that some of the wiring had been switched around by the previous homeowners for a smart thermostat and they needed to be switched back. The technician fixed the issue in less than 30 minutes of stepping foot in our home. No wiring or extra supplies needed. It was such a quick fix that he solved the problem before even discussing the time it wound take or pricing to fix it. We were told prior to them coming out that there would be an $85 service fee, which we agreed to, but after the work was completed the guy said the total cost would be $250. He had no explanation for the cost other than “it’s a standard fee”. The technician was nice and was able to fix the issue, but completely failed to discuss pricing before completing the work. We were prepared to pay whatever it cost to fix it but we felt like that price was completely disproportionate to the work. We called the ownership after the technician left to question the charges and they said there was nothing they could do about it. We feel completely taken advantage of and would not recommend this company to anyone. As new home owner who were looking for a company we could use again in the future, we will NEVER be using them again. BEWARE this company so that they do not do this to you.
Phenomenal company where customer service is a top priority! Nothing worse than waking up to broken heater in the winter - these are the guys to call! The office was very responsive and had someone out to me ASAP same day. Jesse and Ken were incredibly helpful and made 100% sure everything was completely fixed and warming before they left. Highly recommend!

Comfort Shield did an excellent job repairing my furnace equipment. They were up front and honest about the cost and extent of repair needed, and had it done in basically one day. I’d highly recommend them to any any homeowner that values reliable and affordable HVAC service.

I want to thank Comfort Shield Heating and Air Conditioning for helping me out as a first-time homeowner. A friend referred me to Comfort Shield Heating and Air Conditioning because my dryer vent was clogged. It wasn’t until after Ken and Jesse were onsite that I learned dryer vent cleaning and maintenance is not a service they usually provide. The guys were diligent in their effort to trace the path of my vents and then clean them. It was a messy job that they handled kindly and professionally. They really went above and beyond. I confidently recommend Comfort Shield Heating and Air Conditioning and will definitely be using them for my HVAC needs in the future.

Always punctual, quick, thorough, and competitively priced. Comfort Shield will never do unnecessary work, and they always communicate clearly what the issue is, and then they will do before they do it, and how much it will cost. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The Owner and employees who work with them are very honest, and professional. They focused on the problem and repaired it, rather than trying to sell me a whole new System. They have earned my trust and I will use them for all my HVAC needs in the future.
