Once you’ve use Bates service(s) there is no need to look any further for an AC/Heat install or service company. Steve Bates is honest, knowledgeable, fair, personable, responsive, very reasonable in all aspect and a Marine Veteran whom served our country. He & his crew installed my AC system completely and did a great job and addressed any issue I had due to my situation. His office staff are pleasant, courteous & understanding of your needs and do all possible to help in a timely manner. I recommended them to my sister & now he has her on a maintenance plan which gives her comfort in calling anytime in need. Thank you Steve & Miranda for operating your company with integrity.

Called Bates because builder of new home construction was not receptive in addressing our AC issues regarding unbalanced air flow. Bates diagnosed the issue, found code violations as well. John and his assistant came in and installed dampers and scoopers and like magic, our issues were fixed. House cools evenly and feels even cooler! They are Trane factory certified and it shows! So professional, personal and prompt. They are an asset to Bates. Highly recommend for any issues related to your AC needs especially if you have new construction issues. We signed up for their yearly maintenance and extended warranty! I can’t rate them high enough.
Specifically asked for my filters to be changed out when making the appointment. Received a complete run-around, was completely lied to by office staff. These people will lie to you just to grab a service fee from you and then simply under deliver on services. If their integrity is this low on service arrangements just imagine when it comes to system installations. Beware!
Bates came out on Sunday and were very quick to help me get my a/c cooling again. Will definitely use them in the future.
Simply the Best ! My old A/C broke down in the first hottest week & Bates loaned me a room A/C for few days until they can install the new A/C. Installation people were pleasant & professional. Stephan Bates gives you a good price and his personal attention for all your A/C needs.
Steven came out to give me a quote on a new system. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Also cleaned out my drain pan.
Easy to set up the appointment. Communication was great re reminders and timing of arrival/ completion. The technician Jonathan was professional and friendly. Scheduled maintenance was completed quickly. Another visit today and just as satisfied.

We had a leak on a commercial building that property management felt may be an ac leak which would fall on us, the business, not them. We called them just to check it out. They came in matter of minutes, very professional, and quick to diagnose the problem. They did not just check where it was leaking but went on the roof where ac is. Sent us a video as well of the problem. Previously was using barker but will continue with Bates air and heat. Awesome company.
We have used this company in the past and been happy, however this time was a very bad experience. Over Memorial Day weekend on Saturday our AC went out. The technician came quickly, but was unable to get our AC running. After paying $200 he said we needed a part and it wouldn’t be here until Tuesday. On Tuesday we received an invoice for the part only in the amount of $615. We reached out to a different company for another opinion. They put back together what the Bates technician had taken apart and our AC has been working great since then. They charged $80. Bates misdiagnosed our problem, and we almost made an almost $1,000 mistake. I reached out to let them know and was told by Miranda to email her a copy of our invoice. I never got a response from her. I cannot recommend this company. They are either untrained or dishonest.
On time, keep us updated with appointment dates and times. Very cost effective and professional. I highly recommend them.
Brad was a very knowledgeable technician. He went to work immediately and finished in a timely manner. I asked him several questions to help me understand what he was doing. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I enjoyed talking with Brad while he was at our home and I would recommend him to anyone.

I highly recommend this company for all your A/C services. Steven Bates and his team did a new HVAC install for me at the end of last summer. They are very professional as well as knowledgeable. I even had an issue with the PSL city permit department and Bates took care of everything for me even though it wasn’t their fault. This is a very reliable & honest company and I recommend them without any reservation.
