Newly installed system with upgrades, is now 1 yr old. I'm now 100% confident and happy to share that we made the right choices and picked the right team to get the job done right! We had Island Air out as a 2nd opinion/ quote on a repair of our old unit and asked them to quote replacement options, with "upgrades" broken out so we could see if/ what we could afford or worth upgrading to. They listened to our wants, assessed our needs and presented all of our options and pricing to us. Having been out of the HVAC industry for a few yrs now, I trusted no one! I took all the information they provided and verified ALL of it, everything I was told & all information given. To my best recollection, York equipment was what we used for "budget commercial installs", not a premium home brand. We ended up having the team from Island Air install a new split system with a vertical/ true DC inverter condensing unit, variable speed air handler, modern t-stat, and add return air ducts to each of the bedrooms, and redo some of the return lines (done in flex), that they converted to hard duct. We also added 2x UV lights, a 4" filtration box (eliminated all the filters at each return), an air scrubber and purchased an AMAZING extended warranty = 10yrs all parts & all labor (excludes maintenance) but no other fine print. As I mentioned at the start, the unit has now been in 1 yr., I've 0 issues, the installation not only passed its inspection, but the city inspector spent another 20minutes pointing out exceptional quality/ craftsmen ship used in the install, from the electrical to the mechanical portion(s) of the installation. I've had to change filters (of course), and they are the cleanest used filters I've ever replaced! Pro's- The house is more comfortable than it's ever been- cooler & dryer. Utility/ elec bills have dropped about 10% Indoor & outdoor units are amazingly quiet (condenser is right outside the MB BR window so this is huge! Great 10yr P&L warranty & 12 months same as
I had a new Heat Pump, all in one unit, 4 ton, 16 SEER York AC installed Thu 1/19/23. Evan Wey, owner, of Island Air talked to us about what we needed and arranged everything. Installation day was flawless!! We’ve been using Island Air for the last two years and find them to be very reliable, and we’re thrilled with their customer care!
Had to fire this company for extreme unprofessionalism and not keeping their word. They may or may not show up.
Don't do business with this company!!! If I could I would give this business zero stars. I called at 8:00AM this morning and Paul quoted me $125 for Preventive Maintenance. I stated I had Preventive Maintenance done last May, and that their tech was here for several hours in May. I explained I only needed my drain line cleared. Paul quoted me $95. Tech arrived, and after completing service which took less than 10 minutes, he tried to charge me over $210, more than twice as much. I don't like "bait and switch". Only paid them $95 the amount I was quoted. Then Sharon from Island Air called stating she was their attorney, and I owed more. Really??? 4 years ago I had a new A/C and handler installed by Island Air They have had a number of different owners since then. First new owner was great...downhill from there. Not reputable.

They did a inspection on my a/c unit 11 months ago, Joe was the tech. The price was very high but i had No a/c. So I now have problem with what Teck did , as water leak is leaking to 2 neightor garages, as the pvc pipes they clearly forgot to seal them. The association called a Leak Detection company to find the leak, and photos of all. when found I called for the owner which found to be Evan, and took him 2 days to get back with me, then he came out, ( 3 mins from his office,) He Looked at it said he bought the bussines 1 year ago and he will Not warranty Anything pass a year ago.. So I have a 10 yr warranty on my unit which I bought from last owner… Tried to explain to Evan you buy a company you take over the Whole business But he said again he only warranty things since he bought the business. So Beware of this company. NO Warranty
We had Island Aire install our A/C system a couple years ago and yesterday the fan stopped working. My wife called to let them know and within a few hours they were replacing the parts needed, and covered under warranty. Evan and Joe did a fantastic job and the air was working again by that evening. If you are considering an HVAC company for your project, you will not beat the service that you receive from this company if you choose to shop with another.
Evan and his crew are by far the best AC guys I've ever had the experience to work with not only were they all extremely professional but they are also very personable as well. Definitely most honest AC company I've ever dealt with
Very good experience. My AC stopped working and I called Island Aire to repair it (they originally installed the system for the prior owner of the home). They called me back promptly, scheduled an appointment and Alberto (the service tech) arrived on time. Alberto was very professional and diagnosed the issue quickly. He even checked to see of the part (a control board) was on warranty and it was saving me money. A few days later the part was in, the repair was scheduled, and Alberto was back to complete the repair. I am a service business owner and was very impressed with Island Aire and Alberto. I highly recommend them for residential AC repair/replacement.
Michael at ISLAND AIRE is the man! He explained everything he did and taught me about my system. He gave me tips for maintaining my a/c and saving money. He was professional and helpful which is rare these days. He has made me an ISLAND AIRE customer from now on.

I had a great experience which began with Joe who came to see what was going on with my A/C. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He advised of a sale they had which included a 10 year warranty. When I called the business I spoke with Carmen who was also very professional, sweet and followed through with all questions I had. Daniel and Johnny installed my new unit and my home is cooler than it has EVER been at the same setting I’ve always used. Great job from all involved!
