Their customer service department is not at all friendly. Though I received good quality work on plumbing service, the AC technician came did not properly inspected the water leak in the attic, that was found later by the roofer. They took the inspection service fee but did not do the proper inspection of the AC ducts. I had to edit my review. I do not recommend Frank Gay services for anything related to Air Conditioning. Please be aware.

Last week I scheduled Frank Gay Plumbing for my 79 year old mom. All she needed was a basic kitchen faucet and to unstick the bathroom sink stopper. Her estimate was $1,231. Is the going rate? I ordered a $70 faucet from Amazon and will install it myself. The next day I received a follow up text message from Frank Gay Plumbing. I inquired about an $1,200 faucet and the only information I received is they could install a faucet for $451 if I provide that faucet. I'm not happy with the above experience. But if that's the going rate then I really have nothing bad to say about Frank Gay Plumbing. Online scheduling was easy, tech was on time, received text messages and a photo when he was on his way and the tech was very nice to my mom. Via texting, I asked that someone in management follow up with me: Me: No one from management has contacted me to discuss the estimate of $1,200 to replace a standard faucet FG: We can install a faucet you supply for $451 ++++ Received a call from customer care. No justification for the pricing could be provided. Their best justification is a one year warranty on parts and labor. I made repeated requests asking for a call from someone that has the ability to address the pricing.

Sorry to say I have had a terrible experience with Frank Gay. The AC system they installed has failed 4 times in the last nine years. Each time the blower motor needs to be replaced. The price they quoted me for repair this last time was astronomically high. I was able to get it fixed from a nearby company for about 25% of what Frank Gay was charging. And, they were trying to sell products that weren’t needed and wouldn’t resolve my issue.

With this company, I feel cheated. I made a maintenance contract for $200 and it’s simply not worth it. For two visits a year, just to simply clean pipes and check electrical parts while having to pay for everything else… I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT… Once I cancelled the service I was only refunded $70 because of an incomplete job.

Stay away for any AC issues! They misdiagnosed and overcharged then sent a “senior” tech out the next day to say the first tech misdiagnosed and should not have pumped our AC full of Freon for $500 since it was just going to leak out! Then proceeds to charge another service fee and try and sell us on a new unit! A supervisor with the company texted to follow up on our service. I explained what occurred. He said he would not have wanted that to happen to him but offers no refund for the Freon or service fee for the first technician! I would not have had the second tech out but the phone operators aren’t allowed to give you any information about charges apparently and the first tech said whatever we paid him the first night would go Towards repairs -which is apparently untrue. We had used them for a previous plumbing issue and they did great. Obviously their AC techs are not the same and they company does not back the work.

We are retracting what we wrote this morning. We got a call from Frank Gay's office, customer service within 3 hours of leaving the post. They asked how they could fix it and make it better. We gave them two points that they needed to do with their business and one for us. Within an hour and 45 minutes later we received a call stating that they are going to fix the two problems with the company and the one for us. Like I said in the beginning of my first statement the workers did a very good job. we are pleased with their work and please with company fixing the three problems that we had with the company. These fixes will help customers in the future!!!

This has to be the most incompetent company I have ever hired. They installed the wrong A/C unit in my home (not the one I paid for) the one they installed was "accidently" swapped with another smaller unit that was in their truck. While they were here they also broke my garage door by forcing it open. 3 months later and we have the correct unit installed requiring another day called off work. The installer ruined the paint in my living room that I just paid to be professionally done and did not turn the breaker back on to my garage where my freezer full of hundreds of dollars of food sat turned off and spoiled everything (this breaker didn't even need to be turned off on top of that) and now they are calling me again to tell me I have to call of work again for a city inspection within the next 3 weeks because they did not need to file a new permit to do the new install since they were installing the unit they pulled permits for 3 months ago and it will expire at the end of June so I get to be inconvenienced further thanks their incompetence. Oh I also used them for a plumbing service prior to me knowing they screwed up my AC and they told me nothing was wrong and everything was in good working order with my toilets...3 days later and my main line was completely blocked and had to pay an emergency fee for that to be fixed. I will never use this company for anything and would not recommend anyone else do either. why take the chance? there's plenty of other companies in central Florida.

Man came over for a leaky toilet. Charged me 590 more then double what I was quoted from another company. Made me switch the water off myself, and I ended up doing a good chunk of the work. Paid 390 for a “toilet reset” where he picked up the toilet and told me I did the job myself. Now my bathroom still smells like sewer water…this place stinks (litterally)

I have had Frank Guy come out and have a my pipes flushed to do to back ups. The work men were very professional and did a go job. I wanted a garbage disposal installed but do to the piping in my older house it the plumber said it wasn't recommended which I appreciated rather than try to sell me what was going to be an expensive service to move pipes and install a new sink. He was much more knowledgeable than other plumbers who have come out and was able to solve our problem with the backed up drains which two other plumbers failed to do. He also was very open about things like it would be better to buy my own sink because they sell them but they tend to be expensive. I also had an electrician come out and install and external outlet, and an electric car charger as well as add surge protectors to my electrical boxes. The gentleman who came out to do consolation was very nice and even gave me a lot of advice on solar panels and batteries which had nothing to do with why he came out for. The electrician who came to do the work was also very professional, suggested some better options for a cleaner looking installation and did a great job. They have a reasonable home warranty program I signed up for which paid for it's self on the first job I had done with plumbing. Also I was able to get the work I needed done really quickly in fast. They do seem a little on the higher end price wise. However, since the technicians were really high quality and actually were able to address my problems and answer all my questions it is probably worth it. Example I had a plumber out that charge me less but wasn't able to fix my drain problem. So it was actually to total waste. They do charge a fee for coming out but they apply it to any service you have done. They also waved the fee on one of my services because the technician was already in the area.

We had a plumbing issue and called Frank Gay services. We were told it would be $39 to have someone come assess the situation and they did and quoted us 298 to fix it and then the guy calls his supervisor and he said in order to do that job where the leak was they are also going to have to replace something else and that would come out to $1400. We felt this was deceptive and we rejected having any of the work done. My husband said he would pay the $39 fee and call them if we decided to go with them. We just looked at the charge on the card and they charged us $256. No receipt or anything. We were ripped off by this company and are taking action. This is a horrible deceptive company and they are not getting any money from us because no work was done at all. DO NOT USE FRANK GAY SERVICES UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF.

I love the way this company sends messages with the technicians picture showing me who’s coming to do the service call. My technician, Jordan, was very professional and explained the problem with my water heater in terms I could understand. He corrected the problem with the pipes and now I have hot water. Kudos to Jordan for a job well done. Thank you. 5/30/2023: Today I had Hunter come to my house and check out my a/c unit inside and out. After being told by an OUC energy audit earlier this month I needed the coils cleaned I contacted Frank Gay to verify what I was told. My technician Hunter came over to see what was going on. Hunter checked the whole system and found everything to be safe and working properly. I really appreciate the honesty and knowledge of the technicians that Frank Gay sends to my home. I highly recommend Frank Gay Services for your household needs.

Had a tech come out for a backed up toile on a Friday. $800 dollars for him to go on our roof and snake the clog. Couldnt do it then told us he got his equipment stuck so they’d have to build a drain Pipe for our house to fix the issue. Our house already has a drain, but the tech couldn’t find it so he said they’d have to build one. We paid another $200 to set an appointment up for Monday. Saturday morning we found the location of our drain which always existed. Called the tech to let them know we needed someone out to our property asap as now our entire house was flooding and that we no longer needed to install a drain because we found it. Tech said Saturdays are for emergencies only. I think your entire house been flooded with sewage water qualifies as an emergency especially when they already came out, received payment did not fix the issue.I called customer service to request they come in today or to give me a refund and the rep said they would “let me know about getting a refund” and then hung up on me. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I purchased a service contract for one year, they did a good job of calling to schedule a maintenance call. I guess I thought there would be some sort of actual preventative maintenance on something, cleaning ducts or something. I just felt I paid someone to come out and sell me. Then I get a bill like I signed up for a reoccurring service. I really didn't like that as I would not have signed up for it. Nope, no missed calls

Horrible experience. Was not upfront about prices for services. Came in and automatically suggested we needed a whole replumbing done when we called about leak detection. We were told on the phone they do that. When the service technician got here he said he didn’t have the equipment to do detection, that had to be done at a later date. I paid extra for after hours so that we could have water back on at our house to be told once he got there he couldn’t do leak detection. He set an appointment for 2 days later. Insurance said we needed a leak detection done so we called to get appointment for that. Was told it would be a certain day from 10-2. Called at 2:30 to see about ETA to find out that my appointment had been cancelled by them with no notice to us, the home owners. I have now been without water for 4 days. Maybe I have an appointment tomorrow, who knows at this point. Look elsewhere if you want professional service.
