Great fast excellent service!!
The call started with Abel from Downtown AC checking over our old 13 year unit that originally came with the house 7 years ago. With a leak inside the air handler in such an old unit, we were looking at a new purchase. Making such an expensive and important purchase is stressful, but Abel took all the time I needed to answer every exhaustive question I had. Paying attention to my focus around efficiency, he even made suggestions in that vein, which eventually I took as well. Once the install time came, Kyle and Austin took over, and carried that amazing service through. Kyle once again answered a few questions I'd come up with since speaking with Abel, and got back with me after checking with his home office for the correct answers on estimates he wasn't 100% sure on, so I knew it wasn't just info to placate me temporarily. And his suggestions weren't up sells when there was no need for one, but simple reassurances around facts i.e. wherever pre existing piping would work best instead of adding to the estimate by putting in newer ones. They did an amazing job on the install, kept the area completely clean, even after installing a new grate, handler, hurricane pad, some small vent work, and outdoor unit as well as the required electrical work. Didn't even need to pick up after them either. At the end Abel went over settings for the new thermostat, as well as answering more technical questions I had as new options opened up for our with the new unit in the house such as best practices for ongoing maintenance. Both techs were perfectly polite, absolutely professional, and genuinely nice to chat up! Look, honestly this was a huge purchase for us. And I'm the type to research 9 ways to kingdom come before feeling good about such an investment. But all three men were the definitive nail in the coffin to feeling like we'd made the right choice of company to go with for our installation. I know I'll ever only call one ac repair company again. Michael did a great job performing on my A/C system. He called me a half hour in advance of his arrival so I had plenty of time to pop out from work and meet him. Very courteous and very thorough. Their recommendations for replacement and the performance of my system were great and I’ll definitely call on them for future repairs and replacement parts. The membership is definitely a good buy and handy to have in the event of an emergency during the summer months.

I had a very good experience with Downtown Air and Heat. They were available to perform maintenance on my AC system within a day of calling them to schedule service. The technician, Michael, was courteous and professional. I would be happy to use their services again when the time should come.

A/C went out on Sunday. Downtown Air was at the house on Monday morning. Unclogged the drain pipe and gave me some helpful tips.
Michael flushed out my AC line and installed a float shut off valve which I didn't have. Very knowledgeable

they are easy to talk to, they show up when they say they will be here, they are affordable, and melvin is a super cool guy who knows his job very well and takes the time to explain to me what happened and what i should be doing in the future.
I am long overdue on this review. Shawn and his team did a simply awesome job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They listened to me and the system they identified was a great fit for my needs. They went out of their way to get the outdoor unit since it was in short supply. The back office keep things organized and on track. Shawn and the installation team handled my questions with patience and welcomed my general nosiness about how the system is installed. I am a fastidious engineer by trade and that did not appear to phase them at all. I insisted my return duct work was too small but Shawn told me to hold my horses and let’s see how the unit performs once installed before we start talking about scheduling more work. It was good advice; no point in doing unnecessary work. They installed the unit and noted that the static pressure was indeed too high. Shawn assessed the situation and made a plan based on the the facts on the ground and gave me a fair quote on increasing the size of my return duct work. Work was performed promptly and to the high standard that Shawn sets for his business. Shawn even worked with me to make sure that all installation costs, to include the duct work were included in the zero percent financing over 18 months program I signed up for. Finally, there were issues with the thermostat. The LED screen and CPU ran hot which cause wonky temperature reads. They replaced it at no cost but the second was no better. Finally, they installed a Trane external wired thermometer (it’s a small plastic box about the size of a box of matches) 3 inches beside the control thermostat and that resolves the problem. Poor design on Tranes part. LEDs, CPUs and WIFI controllers generate heat. They should have compensated for that. I painted the box the same color as the wall and it blends in. The system is dead accurate now. Finally, the county inspector said it was some of the best work he had seen. He spent a lot of time looking it
Michael called prior to his on-time arrival. he was very conscientious about my concerns. and called the office to confirm the costs of the additional services i was requesting. i felt very comfortable with how the job was done. The cost was higher than i expected. but, I didn't have to wait 4 months for an appointment like with some other service providers.
I've had two maintenance appointments so far with Downtown Air and Heat. Both appointments I had MELVIN, and I must say he is definitely a great asset to the company. He is very professional, polite and has no problem educating me on how the AC system works (as I like to learn). And he has yet to find any problems with my system, which we all know they usually find something wrong and costly. So, I definitely recommend Downtown Air and Heat to everyone, and request MELVIN. You won't go wrong!!! I'm sticking with this company for sure!
Michael was on time, polite and efficient. We previously used downtown heating and air at our old house so when the time came to get an ac check up, they were our first choice. Great company, honest and great customer service
I can always count on downtown Air to keep their appointments and not to be delayed and to quickly solve whatever A/C problem I may have.
These guys have taken great care of my HVAC system for many years. I was sold when they came out to quote ductwork replacement and started writing out physics equations to calculate what was needed. You can’t go wrong!
