Second post for yet another horrible experience. We purchased a new AC and air handler from this company just a few years ago. It is still under warranty. We have had multiple outages and have spent half the cost of the original unit on under warranty repairs. They send multiple techs who arrive whenever they feel like it even if outside the time frame communicated. Some techs can't even figure out the problem. Others think they do and charge us for repair only for it to continue breaking. They were supposed to contact us to discuss the ongoing issues. But we have not been given even a courtesy call or email.
Compressor keeps shutting off while air handler stays on blowing hot humid air into my house. I had Performance come out on 6/22 after already having 2 other companies come out. They seemed professional and better skilled than the other companies. But, then I was charged $639 for a Contactor replacement. It took him about 10 minutes and AC started back up. Paid him and even tipped him as I was happy it was running. The next day it started doing it all over again. Same exact problem. I’m out over $1000 and this is happening daily. We have replaced the filter, adjusted the float, and vacuumed out the Drain line. I just wish an A/C company could actually fix my A/C instead of just taking guesses and charging me for it.

Don’t care how many 5 stars they have! One year ago I had them recharge my AC and they charged me 1300.00 dollars I said to the guy that seemed ridiculously high he promised me I could call anywhere and find it’s correct like a busy fool I was at the time I believed him!! He lied I just had the same unit charged this year for 300.00 that means they overcharged me 1000.00 dollars… these people are liars and extremely over priced… I know I should have checked these scammers I was in a hurry because it was for my tenants it’s my fault I won’t get dinged again!!!!!
Garrett Weiss saved this company! Garrett was professional in appearance and mannerisms and took great care respecting my property. He was very knowledgable about my a/c unit and I appreciated that he was honest with me as my system is an older unit. I appreciated that he didn't try to impress me with a/c mumbo jumbo and spoke to me in terms I could understand. Garrett is a great asset to this company and I would highly recommend him in the future. Kayla who answered the phones in Largo was so helpful as well. Thank you.
The company rescheduled 4 times. Then conducted regular maintenance and my AC is not working It’s 87 degrees in my home and they are going to send a technician out tomorrow. Jason, the manager is non responsive. And is voicemail stays full. Please do your business with another company.
My Ac stopped working this morning. Called and got a technician by 11am! Scott came diagnosed the problem, went above and beyond to fix it. He was very polite and personable! 10/10 would ask for Scott again by far the best experience I’ve had in a while with a repair tech. Thank you for keeping my house cool in the Florida heat!

Run! Do not let this company anywhere near your A/C. Performance bought the company (Pinellas Comfort Systems) who originally installed my AC unit. I mistakingly thought they would be a reputable replacement so I called them in late April and they sent their technician Leon out to service my A/C that was making a rattling noise. Leon said we needed two parts and one was on back order and we would need to be without AC. That broke one of their values (no break down guarantee). Weeks went by and no one contacted us for a status update. I had to call and go through Kayla each time who was the only person I could get to call me back. I had a terrible experience with Trevor, Jason and Ian. Jason is a manager but doesn’t like to call customers back. Trevor has an attitude and never knows what is going on with your case. He will say things like “I’ll try to take a message” or , “I’ll try to look into this for you.” You’ll try? And Ian once picked up the phone while I had the manufacturer on the line to assist me with understanding what part numbers were on back order and Ian told both of us that his shift was over so he was going home and would not help us. Why even pick up the phone? I did research and decided to get a second opinion with another company. Who laughed at these guys and their terrible misdiagnosis of the problem. Turns out I only needed one part and that was in stock. The other company had us up and running in three hours. I made a mistake so you don’t have to. Stay away.
Getting a new AC system in place within 24 hours was much appreciated, given the 90 degree temps and high humidity. The techs were on time, worked without taking a break to get the system installed and working. They took pride in their work, answered my questions, cleaned everything up, leaving it better than they found it. They explained the system, the thermostat, made suggestions on upkeep. They also reminded me of the 10 year warranty!! I appreciate the hard work they do.
Leon, our technician, showed up on time (outside of normal business hours after working a 12 hour day already) and gave us great service as if we were his first customer of the day. He took pictures, showed the changes in the performance of our system before and after cleaning and addressed any questions we had. I would recommend Performance to others for sure.
Terrible Experience with Performance Air Conditioning, Electric, & Plumbing! I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Performance Air, and I suggest not doing business with this company. We went without air conditioning for over a month, thanks to their incompetence and misdiagnosis of our AC problem. They claimed we needed a back-ordered part from Trane, which turned out to be completely unnecessary. While waiting on the backordered part, communication with Performance Air was abysmal, and their lack of follow-up was unacceptable. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to Jason, the manager, we received little to no response. Trevor in dispatch dished out some of the worst customer service by telling us "he would try to get a message to the manager". Try? It was frustrating to be left in the dark with no updates or progress on our air conditioning issue. I will say, Kayla, tried to help and was responsive, so the one star is for her. In sheer desperation, we sought a second opinion and contacted Burgess Heating & Air, in Safety Harbor. To our relief, they quickly identified and resolved the problem the same day we reached out to them. Not only did they provide a prompt solution, but they also charged us $500 less than what Performance Air had initially quoted us. This stark contrast in both service and pricing emphasizes the incompetence and overcharging we experienced with Performance Air. Overall, I strongly discourage anyone from using Performance Air. Their failure to address our air conditioning problems, coupled with their misleading diagnosis and poor communication, left us without relief for an unnecessarily long period. Instead, consider reputable alternatives like Burgess Air, who will promptly address your needs at a fair price.
Installed a new Lenox AC unit in my house yesterday 6/13/22. The experience with Troy the sales rep was excellent and the installation was performed as promised. The technician Adrain Lara and the rest of the crew (can’t remember their names) went above and beyond to complete the installation. The team was very profesional and knowledgeable and show great respect for my property. The installation was perfect and above my expectations. Great service!!! Will recommend to anyone looking to install a new AC unit.
A/c not working properly. Repairman Garrett came out on time. Very professional and thorough. I explained my situation financially and told him my son had HVAC business up north and would want to know problem. He provided me with pictures, diagnostics and invoice so I could Email his findings to my Son. He completed work very timely and explained what was being done in layman's term so I understood. I cannot say enough good about this tech and how impressed I am with this company. I would give 10 stars if it was possible. Thank you so much.
Best HVAC company in the area! We always have amazing techs, they offer easy online scheduling, the techs show up on time and they are thorough. Most recently, we had Shaun diagnosed and resolved our AC issue. He was courteous, diligent, professional, and went above and beyond.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I call for a Leak detection and the person that answer told me that was $89 for the service. When the technician got to my house, he told me that was $89 for service plus $150 for leak detection. I explained that the unit was serviced just 3 weeks by them from the previous owners of the house. That I call for a leak detection only and the office gave me a price of $89 NOT $89 + $150. When the technician called the office to wave the $89 and just charge me the $150 for the leak detection, the main office declined and just basically said crew you. They did NOT CARE that they installed and service this unit regularly with the previous owners, they did NOT CARE about me been a new client, they did NOT care that I just moved into this home. I lost $89, buy they lost a client.
Our technician did an excellent job of fixing the water heater. He replaced the heating element, flushed out the tank, and replaced the thermostat. He also replace the plastic water supply shut off valve with a brass one.
When your AC dies and it's 85 degrees out, you want a fast response. Performance delivered. I called them because my parents had had a previous good experience, and they lived up to the recommendation.
Can’t say enough about the great job Kevin and Larry did installing our new Lennox AC system. Prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous, they made a great team and went above and beyond expectations.
