Today happened to be one of the hottest days of the year as well as it being July 4th. I called Velocity Air, I actually got a live person, I spoke to Ashley and she the got their Super Tech Tim out to my home right away. He did his due diligence in checking my freon levels making sure everything was operating properly and then went inside the condenser box to find that the insulation was hanging down and it was creating more humidity in the condenser box as well as affecting the way the blower was operating. He refastened the insulation adjusted another part that was improperly installed from the beginning, he recognized it and fixed it instead of ignoring it as if it was not important. He closed up the box, sealed it tightly to keep any additional moisture and air out of it, cleaned up my condenser coils outside it made the inside of our house feel like an ice box again. Way to go Tim, Way to go Velocity Air Conditioning better than any fireworks celebration. There's nothing like having air conditioning in July In Florida. 💥💣🧨🎆💥💣🧨🎆
Sold us a sub-par AC unit (alliegance12) that seldom retails over $2,200.00 for about $10 K. Rusted out in 2 years - parts replacement under warranty, but labor is 50% of the cost for a whole new unit. I hope to sell these ppl a home improvement, at a 400% mark-up and stick em with excessive labor costs one day... Shame on me for trusting them, w/o proper due diligence.
I just had Joey out for fall tune up and he was outstanding.Best a/c company I have ever had
Cancelled my service call 4 times within a week. Last time cancelled, I requested service manager to call me back. NEVER bothered to call. Unprofessional not to call your customer and just cancel your calls. They didn't even deserve 1 star for this.
Velocity A/C arrived on-time and Cliff & Jason set to replace our aged 2011 Heating & Cooling system; they started their work and worked as a team (Cliff inside on the air handler, while Jason replaced the outside compressor components). Job was totally completed in about 5 hours, site was cleaned of all debris and old components removed - very efficient workers. To date the system is quiet, efficient and seems to take less energy than the old unit. Velocity has earned my business into the future and I am proud to recommend them to everyone needing their expertise.
Paid Velocity to fix it Myself I was pleased when the tech from Velocity arrived mid-morning on Friday. It had been two days of my a/c not keeping up with the afternoon temps and a cancellation from another company for health concerns. He spent some time at the outside unit and in the attic with the handler then told me I have a couple small leaks outside. Since the unit is still under factory parts warranty he quoted $2000 to replace the outside coil or $6000 for a full system replacement. I asked if topping off the Freon would buy some time to decide what to do. He agreed that it would and topped it off. Within an hour of him leaving it was 79 inside with the thermostat set at 76. I called the office where I was told the tech would call me back. I called my first choice in vendors and reviewed everything with him. He immediately told me it wasn’t a Freon issue and walked me through diagnosing my thermostat and then into the attic to check my float valve. I pulled the float valve to find water to the top. I cleared the line and everything’s been fine since. The tech did try to call me back a couple times, but I was busy fixing it myself. That’s the last return call I’ve received from Velocity Air. I called to the office again that afternoon and advised them I was displeased with paying $271.00 to fix my own air conditioner. The response was that everyone was busy and someone would call me back. Fast forward a week to Thursday and still no call back so I made another call. I managed to get the service manager. I voiced my concern and let him know that I’m not looking for a full refund but certainly feel that I was overcharged and would appreciate something back. His response was that he would review this with his tech and get back to me tomorrow afternoon. Guess what? It’s now tomorrow and it’s 5:00pm. Crickets....
Don’t even bother yourself to call them! Very pushing to charge you $49.00 to buy new unit not to fix yours!!
We purchased not one but two heat pump units recently, two weeks apart, after our 30-year-old system's fan quit. Then about a week later, the 20-year-old system quit. Technician Drew Woolhiser made sure that everything got done, going so far as to give us his personal cell phone number to call if we ran into trouble. Through no fault of our own, Velocity was unable to complete the install on the first unit. The installer threatened to not activate the system unless we paid the balance due before they left the first day. Drew intervened and our system was activated. Workers showed up the next day to finish up. Knowing that Drew went out of his way to make ensure success, we invited him back to check out the malfunctioning second unit. It made more sense to replace it, and lead installer Kenneth Danielson went the extra mile to get everything working to our satisfaction. I do recommend Velocity, despite their several scheduling hitches and missing accessories.
I just want to say how wonderful WILLIAM was at taking the time to explain the work required to change over my old electrical panel to the new main which was required for my new solar roof installation which is soon to come, and his continued work ethic to see the job all the way through to completion. As expected every job does have its unexpected challenges but he persevered and got everything installed and working in tiptop shape! Extremely grateful for their wonderful service!
My 20 year old AC unit was making loud noises and stopped cooling around 2pm on Friday. I called Velocity and they had a tech on site in an hour or so. I was panicked because its summer and my house is already HOT. I Needed to replace my entire unit ASAP. Velocity installed a brand new AC unit next day on (Saturday). They even installed a few mobile AC units in our rooms so we could sleep comfortably that night. The techs were on time and did a great job. I am very happy with my new 5 ton Trane Unit. Velocity really delivered for my Family
Bought an air conditioner with a 10 year warranty on parts and after 4 years a part failed. I was told that if it was replaced under warranty I would pay more than getting a new part from Velocity. They are charged an exorbitant cost to send the bad parts back to the manufacturer and you are the one that has to pay that cost. I am contacting Comfortmaker and seeing if my warranty is fake or not. Channel 8 news needs to look into this deceptive business practice.
My brand new ac broke within 6 months, the nastiest customer service I ever ran into like it was my fault this happened!!! I am telling everyone I can stay away from them... nothing but problems they diagnose my problem wrong they were going to charge me another $400 to do some kind of service on my AC when it wasn’t that whatsoever thank God I wasn’t stupid enough to do it, because I would have never gotten that money back and my ac wouldn’t have been fixed we have been using Air 24/7 and have had no problems since !!!! Stay away from velocity Air !!!!
Kept saying they will tech call me never did waited 3days called got same answer each time
An absolute joke, the man came out and wiggled my Sump Pump and said oh your float was stuck that's why it's not running and charged me $50. Two hours later it was not running again he came back and tried to sell me a $750 pump,, I can buy the exact same one on Amazon for $35 told him to get the hell out of my house. Technician looked at me and smiled and said yeah we're a little high on some things. What a joke
Have been using this company for one year. They are responsive and knowledgeable. We chose the annual membership plan and are glad we did. Technicians are professional and courteous.
Fantastic! Kenny and Dominic were very professional and cleaned up! Would recommend to everyone.
They were very professional and did an excellent job. I would recommend to friends.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Paid more than $600 for 2 hours service and 2.5lbs R22 freeon. Tech said ac might have a leak but could not find it. Unit worked for 1 day after they serviced. Called their OFFICE AND GOT NO help, they want to charge more to send their tech out to fix the same problem.
TERRIBLE! My husband and I paid Velocity $20k to put in new A/C units a year ago and we've had to call them upwards of 15 times to come and fix some problem with the same unit. They wouldn't replace it or refund us for the faulty unit, even after TEN SERVICE CALLS to the same unit, and they charged us for the service calls, even though the problem was obviously a result of their bad unit or possibly incompetent installation. In any case, the unit is still not functioning and the company has taken zero responsibility for it. In this latest iteration, the tech I was assured was coming out to fix it showed up in a plaid shirt and cargo shorts asking us what he'd been sent out to do. We're having to replace this very expensive unit barely a year later, and I guarantee we won't be using Velocity Air.
This company will steal from you and the techs are clueless. They have zero training. They told me one part was bad then charged me $900 for the part. Then another tech came back and said it was not bad. Cleaned the coil and never told the office to refund me. THIS IS STEALING!! The tenant informed me of the bait and switch. The problem was still not fixed. Two weeks later after the sent 4 other techs all which had no idea what they are doing. I had another company came out and actually fixed the issue. The destroyed my attic, vents and returns the owner promised a refund. Today he said to bad I'm not refunding anything. He is a lair and so are his techs. I am disputing all charges and I WARN YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
