Since having a new HVAC system installed by The AC Guy of Tampa Bay 2 1/2 years ago, I have found the air handler leaking at least 3 separate times in different places. Looking back at my electric bills, the first time costed me at least $1800 air conditioning my attic!! The following incidents added up to another $900 just in increased bills!! I was in tears the first time I discovered cold air blowing out of the lifted tape and called the salesman who said our relationship would be like a marriage after I paid a few "pretty pennies" for the system... he NEVER returned my calls and messages!

We have been having drain issues with the ac for quite awhile. Previous ac techs told us to pour vinegar to keep the drain clear. I have poured vinegar relentlessly to no end. Antonio installed a pump and replaced some pvc for better flow and forced drainage. Thank you Antonio! My new ac company for all our vacation rentals!

Nathan came in to do a tune up on our A/C system. He checked our outdoor unit and came in and checked out the indoor unit. He worked to clear the line, and reiterated what I need to do to keep it clear when I change the filter. This company is the best! Always on time, very professional, and they are very knowledgeable. The best in the business!

This company merged with my former company. Wants repair service paid in full up front. Does not respond with parameters of my warranty, why I'm being charged for repair. After phone calls get lip service and totally ignores my email. Keep being told "Walter" will look into it....nope

When the AC stopped working, I contacted a couple of AC companies but were not able to provide service within the next couple of days. I heard of AC Guy via MySpirit FM 90.5 at 11:00pm. I immediately chatted with them online and scheduled the service for the following day before noon. They were a literally a Godsend!!!!

Prompt, professional, willing to work with us to get our A/C working again within our budget since we are business tenants at the end of our lease and moving to a new location soon, so we didn't want to invest a ton right now in A/C repair. Highly recommend them. The technician found and repaired the issue quickly and within our budget.

We have a unit that was put in by the AC GUY in 2019, they have already replaced the outside unit and now the blower motor. I am the new home owner so I pay labor, not parts. My blower went out, they came out, checked said i need a blower. They wanted to charge me $2000 for labor. He said he would give me a discount and the price would be $1575. I asked why, he said someone has to order it, the have to store it on the shelves, he has to put it in, there are alot of other costs that go into just putting in the part. I said I'm, not paying for the part, i'm paying to put the part in which took less then 1 hour. Then he goes into the sales pitch, if you were on the vip plan you could save. I called Eskimo A/C, he did it for his standard rate of $575, warrantied the part, i was up an hour blowing cold air. You may think this is a one time thing. However, The AC guy did a yearly on my unit a few months ago, the UV light was out, he told me it would be $1235 to replace the unit because mine was old and they didn't make it any more. Did he ever think maybe, just like the light fixture in the house, CHANGE THE BULB. I replaced the bulb off of amazon for $14. I do not trust service techs very much, they seem to have become sales people. Integrity I believe has been lost in business these days, they are just out to make a buck no matter how they screw the customer. Do a good job, charge a competitive rate and you get loyal customer who call back, but i will never recommend The AC Guy to anyone.

It's never fun to have to replace your AC, but this company makes it sting a little less. Every maintenance call has been professional and they have been kind to my 81 year old mother. This last time, was the end for a unit that gave it everything it had. When the arrangements were made to replace it, everyone that came out was kind and professional. My mom was nervous having the work done, but they were great with her, putting her at ease. Antonio was the one who pronounced the AC a goner. He was willing to try and piece her back together, but warned it probably wouldn't be the right path. He sold us the new unit and came back this past week to give the new unit a once over before the county inspection. My mom wanted to make sure I posted this review because she was so happy with the service and with how she was treated. I highly recommend this company and will be switching my maintenance package to them when my current contract is up!

I used AC Guy of Tampa recently. They installed an ERV and hooked up my ductwork backwards. I now have fresh air that is not getting filtered going into my ducts and causing smells. Later found out they charged me a deposit of 1200 and told me it would be deducted from the total amount for the install instead it never was. I got double charged. They removed the charge of 1200 later when I contacted them, but my system is still hooked up wrong. No damper either on the fresh air intake. I thought this company was trustworthy but was I WRONG!!!!!!

I didn’t know why my dryer wasn’t working, and I was educated by Antonio that the roofing company I recently use, had covered up the vent hole. He was able to provide photos, and I am able to send them to the roofing company prior to them getting their final payment. AC guy of Tampa Bay came out within minutes of the call, and are very kind and eager to impress the customer. Would definitely recommend for all of my AC and duct needs.
