Place is a joke don't know how to treat employees horrible customer service if you want a bad high school experience all over again go for it the insulation department thee worst sloppy nasty work gets done unless you get a good couple guys they have!! Big Crooks horrible, plenty of other places that will do better work.
I would not recommend this company to anyone I know and certainly will never use them for anything again. We used Bantam/Valiant to install new oil tanks in our house. The sales person assured us that one standard-sized tank would fit. Turns out, when the installers showed up, it wouldn’t fit. We had to pay an extra thousand dollars for two smaller tanks. Not only that, but the new oil tank gauge they installed was faulty and we ran out of oil when the gauge said we had 1/4/tank left. Bantam/Valiant refused to waive or discount the multiple service fees incurred due to the lack of oil (first service call to figure out what was wrong; second service call to have the furnace and hot water heaters restarted after having oil delivered).
Their facility is amazing, friendly receptionist and the workers are friendly too. Special thanks to the insulation team!
I have been a loyal customer since 2018. I have oil delivery with them and also did a furnace/tank change. Last year with no warning my budget plan was changed with no notice via mail or email. My last oil delivery i was charged $6/gallon. I called to see why they charged so much and instantly the price was reduced over a dollar because there was “a glitch.” Look at your invoice!!!
New oil tank installation completed by two young men, Pat and Ed Great job, fast, clean professional and very knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. Bantam Wesson deserves an A ++ score.
Great service. We moved from CA to CT this summer and was unfamiliar with all that needed to be done to set up heating oil and propane. The representatives walked us through the process, worked with our HOA and the City to get the permits done and delivered everything as promised. All of the technicians we dealt with were professional and very friendly. They took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure everything was set up correctly and safely.
just sat on hold for about 45 minutes for the phone system to hang up on me. i guess they dont like valued continued customers. its only a heat emergency i guess it can wait....
The work is good but we haven’t been able to find the Fontanini Nativity set that my family has been collecting for years after they fixed our furnace.
Just awful customer service. Argumentative, combative, accusatory representative on the phone. They cannot figure out their own online payment system, so they accuse the customer (me) of not paying my bill even when a payment has been made and their company sends a receipt of that payment. Then when the rep. discovers their mistake, she blaims the customer again for not paying in the 'correct way.' Pathetic.
What happened to Bantam? Company used to be good but they’ve been making big costly mistakes. I put my oil delivery on hold & they delivered anyway at $6 gallon. Meanwhile I have been getting my oil for less than that with another company. Now they want me to pay for their error. Come on Bantam!
We employed the company to do home insulation for us. The initial evaluation and pricing was great and we were excited to have the service performed. I asked questions regarding the process because we have a toddler and another with asthma and I wanted to make sure we are prepared for what the process will look like with dust, smell etc. They misled me to believe it will be no big deal. I understand it's a process that makes a mess. We had another messy service performed by another company couple of weeks prior and they left the house spotless when they left. After BW crew left we had to hire a cleaning service after we cleaned for more than 6+ hours ourselves. It was ridiculous! Including our driveway was covered in small particles that nobody even attempted to clean. Never had such a slopy crew work on our house. We were planning on doing insulation on another house and after this experience, we will be finding another company. I also contacted them after with feedback on the service and they didn't even bother to respond. Thank goodness we were planning on staying elsewhere for the night after the service, it was impossible to sleep in the house.
Overpriced and does shabby work. Not only will they charge you more for actual everything, they will promote garbage that you don’t want or need. Their plumber missed the leak I asked him to check on the housing inspection. HVAC was quoted 3k more than competition for a lower quality system. The energy assessment was never submitted to the state which meant i had to get it repeated for solar panels. They will also refuse to work with you on anything, no budge, even for customers which kept coming back mistake after mistake. The two stars is because they do show up on time. I do like that about them
I can’t log in to my account on the website despite that I have the account number. I am a new customer and when I try to call to speak to someone I can’t reach anyone. I wish you provided 24hr phone service and an online chat system. I just want to pay my bill. I think I will just switch to another company.
Run from these people, don't walk... I transition when it was Arbor Energy (which was maybe 5 years ago) then they sold out to these folks. I know that I'm just a customer that can be replaced, but I'll take my hard earned money where I'm appreciated and not considered or feel disposable (which is foolish for any business to think or behave that way).
I can’t get through to anyone in the office. I left 2 messages and 3 call backs. Never head from them. I need electrical services. Looks like someone else is going to get my business. I had a part replaced in my furnace and they charged my card without permission. When I did get service it was always good. This business of not answering the phone doesn’t fly with me
Customer service is never available and when you finally get someone on the phone they are extremely rude don't want to help just want to set a contract or send you to the web page. The drivers damage my lawn force open the gate to the back yard when I had given them direction setting up my account to call the day before delivery so I could unlock the gate. I paid for my service to the furnace and ac. When the maintenance person came in didn't change the air filter the was part of the service. Ac I haven't be able to get anyone on the phone to set up the service. Every time I call have ti wait over 30 minutes calls get drop. If you are looking for them to service you be aware not the best out there.
Buyer beware if you are considering using BantamWesson Company. I have been a loyal customer for 6 years now. I have used them to service our furnace and air conditioning unit and to fill both our propane and oil tanks. I have always paid my bills in full and on time. Each May I contact them by telephone (because I like to speak to a representative because I have always felt like I can get the most accurate and detailed information) to set up a contract and a budget plan. Fast forward to this year when I called a couple weeks into May to ask about contracts. I was extremely worried about the rise in oil prices. The woman I spoke to on this day informed me that I could stop auto delivery, that their computers estimated that I wouldn’t need oil until November. A couple months later I received a bill for $846.66. So I contacted BantamWesson. The first woman I spoke to was shocked and had no idea why I received this bill given that I am on auto pay and a budget. She assured me that she would contact management and call me back. I never heard back from her so I called back again. The first woman I spoke to was extremely rude but informative. I had it in my mind that my contract ended in May but I was incorrect, it ended April 30th. I had pre ordered 900 gallons of oil and paid for all 900 gallons through my payment plan. I only used 824 gallons of the 900 that I had purchased. BantamWesson waited until 4 days after my contract ended to come out and fill my tank at a rate of $5.99 a gallon when my contracted rate was $3.098. So because they came out 4 days after my contract ended, I “lost” the 76 gallons of oil that I had purchased that I didn’t use by April 30th and they charged me the $5.99 rate for the 120 gallons of oil. Ironically when I had called in May they had stated that their computer estimated that I wouldn’t need a fill until November, I have less in my tank today (September 15th) than I did 4 days after my contract ended yet they came out a
This company is great. They've been my propane and oil provider for the three years I've owned my house. I recently needed my central A/C looked at and was happy to learn BW would service that, too. They sent Al out today, who'd been here before and is a great tech to have help you. He replaced wires chewed by mice then checked all the vents, on this hot day smiling and with no complaints. Now we're sitting here cool at the kitchen table once again!
I just stated service Feb 2022 I paid for bio plan ..now I received a invoice that I have yo pay annual tune up...how come..the girl said I don't understand and I have to pay..so what I paid?? Pago un contrato para que?? La compania de ser seria con lo of recent sino no se comprometa necesito soluciones. Gracias
Thanks to the addition of the Bantam-Wesson Home Services Division, I have had electricians, plumbers, and HVAC specialists service both emergency and routine issues at my house and property in Kent, CT. In June of 2021, the air handler in my attic froze up and flooded my first and second floor hallways. I called B-W and their technician was on-site the next day, repairing my HVAC and also instituting a process to prevent it from happening again. The techs quick response and knowledgeable skills saved me thousands of dollars in unneeded replacement of the HVAC system. Additionally, with the increasing severity and unpredictability of strong weather events that caused power outages, B-W offered a whole-house generator system that was both affordable and quickly installed. I live between two households with elderly residents, one 90 and the other 98, and having a reliable back-up power supply in the cold winter and warm summers helps the neighborhood have a place to go to when we have extended power. I am a very satisfied customer of Bantam-Wesson, from their propane service to their support for my plumbing and electrical needs, and heartily recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and experienced service.
